I’d like to remove dropdown option. It is cool to have, but not for me.
I’d like to have only checkbox with message “Notify if someone replies to my comment”.
This should be unchecked by default.

Your plugin doesn’t respect the wordpress codex, you call the hard way the wp_options database

You should get the extension characters before with the adhoc WordPress function.

For example our base name isn’t wp_XXX but wpaz_XXX and then your plugin generates errors.

It doesn’t work in my WordPress + extra feature

Hi @yasir!

I am really interested in your plugin (concretely in the option of receiving an email only when someone answers your comment, instead of suscribing to all the comments), but unfortunately, it is not working in my WordPress (I tried to comment in incognite mode with one of my emails and answering to that comment, but nothing happened).

Apart from that, I would like to recommend two interesting features that you could take in account in the future for making this plugin even more awesome:

– Option of confirming the suscription to the answers (so you make sure that is truly that person the one that wants to recieve notifications).
– Option to translate to other languages (in my case, spanish).

I realized you hardcoded table prefix “wp_” into all DB queries in your plugin. This is why it doesn’t work properly on instalations with custom prefix.

Hello..
The plugin looks great and everything seems to work as it’s supposed to, but I do not receive any emails. I suppose it’s supposed to also send a mail once you subscribe to a comment thread, but I don’t receive that either.
My mails are sent with an SMTP plugin which works fine for all regular WP mails and also for other plugins that use the wp_mail() function (i.e.: Comment Email Reply works fine) so that shouldn’t be the problem..

Any suggestions where to start searching for the problem?
Has the plugin been tested with the newest WP version?
I’m running out of ideas ??
What could I have done wrong?

Hello and thank you for this wonderful plugin.

There is a problem.

The email is not going to visitors in box.

I have 3.9.1.

I tried email reply only and all comments. I tried different email addresses to test this.

After the comment is posted, under “manage subscriptions” –“suspend” is ticked. I changed it and updated, but it keeps going back to “suspend”. DO you think it is this newest version of wp?

I do not have any cache plugins or jet pack. Thank you. Mary

FYI: On the ‘Comment Form Options’ page, if I enter text with apostrophes for the dropdown options (e.g. “Don’t email me” instead of “Do Not Send Email Notifications”), it appears as “Don\’t email me” on my site. If you add the stripslashes function to these values when you’re adding them onto $checkbox_field, that should fix the problem.

(I was able to fix this for my own site by editing the plugin, but just wanted to let you know.)

A few days ago I installed this plugin in a multisite environment but I just saw it working in the main blog. In a secondary blog I didn’t see the select box options to notify my users when somebody replies their comments.

Any info about how to configure this plugin to work well in multisite? If it’s possible.

Hello,

It appears that your code is using hard coded wordpress prefixes meaning that when I’m not using the wp_ prefix my code is breaking.

You should be referring to the tables with $wpdb->prefix instead of ‘wp_’

Can you update your plugin to fix this please?
