I have been looking at plugins to enhance the standard WP RSS feed and integrate it with MailChimp. This one does exactly that without adding too much settings. I have one wish left but I’ll post that in the support area.

This little plugin solved a problem I didn’t know I had: no images in my RSS feed. I only stumbled upon this when setting up a MailChimp template for subscriber updates, and it didn’t show my featured images.
The great thing about this plugin is that it shows a post’s featured image in the RSS feed AND if a post doesn’t have a featured image, it’ll just use the first image in the post instead.
The developer, Robin Cornett, is very helpful and knowledgeable.
So… highly recommended!

I’ve been using this plugin for a few years now and it still works great (WP 4.8) even if it says ‘has not been tested with you WP version’.
Works perfectly with MailChimp.

Give it a try.

This an essential plugin among all my wordpress sites. I hope developers don’t abandoned this project. I just have one suggestions: try to include in future versions the metas that suggest Feedly. At least, include them as an options:

Cheers dude.

I spent hours troubleshooting an image issue with a client’s MailChimp RSS campaign.
The feed had worked beautifully for months and suddenly the images were all pixellated and nothing I did to fix it – custom code, other plugins, different feed configurations, image compression, etc – worked.
Then I found this plugin by two WordPress/Genesis community members I trust and voila, fixed! Thank you!!!

I had been using another plugin to render featured images in RSS and it started showing duplicates. I installed your plugin and all works fine! Now getting ready to switch that plugin out on my other clients with this one.

I run a MailChimp RSS campaign that pulls from my site. This plugin helped solve a “squishing” distorted image issue I was seeing for emails sent to those with Gmail accounts from MailChimp via RSS. The plugin author also responded to my support request within a couple of hours on how to add a custom code to get it to also pull featured images as well from RSS.

I was having problems getting images to display properly in MailChimp RSS campaigns. I wanted to show the feature image from my posts along with an excerpt of the text. I was unable to find a solution. I could either publish the full content with the image or an excerpt with no image. This plugin solved the problem. Settings were easy to configure. Thank you for this solution!

This plugin is an affiliate blogger’s dream come true. It allows you to create an RSS feed summary that is more than a few words truncated randomly. Instead, you can choose the size of featured image, number of words, and even change the wording of the link to read the rest of the post. All while removing affiliate links from with RSS and emails per Amazon’s Terms of Service.
Thank you, Robin, for creating such a fabulous, user-friendly plugin!

I’d spent a few hours (and tried a couple different plugins) trying to get images to show up in my MailChimp RSS feed. This one gives you customisation options and works great! Highly recommend.

Though we haven’t done an absolutely exhaustive test in all mail clients, this seems to have fixed the RSS image alignment issue perfectly.
We’re using Mailchimp…
Awesome work!

If you use full sized images in your posts and Feedburner sends them oversized in emails, then you need this plugin!

Robin has done a great job with this plugin.
It handles the maximum width of images and gallery images in feeds intended for use as email content. It also fixes alignment, since emails won’t have class styles for alignment present. These changes can be applied to all existing feeds (including custom post types), or a new custom feed that reproduces an adapted version of the main blog post content.
