Thanks!

I successfully used this plugin on one post and I’m running WordPress 5.6.1. I’m now configuring the plugin for use on another post.

Thanks for this. I use it often, and it works well.
One suggestion, if I may… I tend to like the TOC at the bottom of the page. If a reader arrives at at the top of a sub page – via search perhaps – it isn’t immediately obvious how to find page 1. Would be nice if the title on each page was a link back to the introduction.
Thanks again!

I had another pagination plugin ACP (Pagination For Posts), but it’s not supported anymore and stopped working properly. Multipage looks like perfect change. I only have to remove some old code (just one SQL request) and modify CSS a little (css didn’t work out yet, but I think I’ll manage it).
Otherwise it’s all I need!

This plugin does what it claims without much fuss. Works like a charm. Thanks to the dev.

Thank you! Works charming.
To make the size of the TOC box only as large as the content, and to highlight the current page, I would suggest to add this CSS to it ??
ul#toc{
display:table;
border-radius: 5px;
padding-bottom:5px;
}
ul#toc li.current a{
text-decoration:underline;
color:#f29400;
}

Multipage is the best plugin for pagination, because it working well and it’s the only one that allows to create a useful and nice textual summary for splitted posts. And it’s free!!!

IMHO this is the only working multipage plugin für wordpress. Ok, it doesn’t scan the content for h1,h2, h3 or any other subheadlines and set the <next page> automatically. You have to do it by your self. So, it’s a little extra work. But it works!
My wishes for the next or premium version are …
… an option to set the subpage tag automtically
… for SEO-reasons a different text in the subtitle and in the TOC
… a widget.
… some styling options, like splitt the TOC in two columns if the TOC has mor than X rows.
… hide the first point of the TOC in the content.

I love these kind of plugins that don’t have a lot of options but work as intended, with no bugs or conflits. Great job!
However, it would be nice to have an option of hiding the title tag (h2) from rendering, because usually that title is on the user’s original content.

Great, little, easy to use addon that improves your news-style-page very much.

I was looking for at way to create links within my text to the following pages, when I came across this plugin – brilliant!
Improvements:
# I would love to have a big fat button at the buttom of my pages leading to the following page. Did some CSS adjustment myself to make the existing link more eye-catching.
# I would like to be able to put the table of content at a place of my choice – i.e. at the top of the pages / the first page.

I’ve never used multi-pages for a post before but my wife’s travel writing website requires it since it profiles long essays by authors. The theme didn’t like the <!–nextpage–> tag, even after inserting the relevant code into the loop on the template page.
This plugin was exactly what I was looking for. It’s simple, so for those requiring a styled solution you might want to look elsewhere. My two gripes are the insertion of the word ‘Intro’ on the first page, and the fact it is putting my next and previous page links after my social share buttons, which looks odd, but these are nothing that can’t be fixed with a bit of CSS.

Hi,
Really nice plugin! It could be really cool to have a short code to put the Table of Content wherever we want and deactivate the default bottom position (now the ToC displays under my related posts… Not very user friendly to navigate ??
Do you have any plan to integrate this feature?
Great job anyway, I’l have to wait the next version to use it properly though,
Julien

Author claims that there is another plugin which is effecting the rewrite rules – but when all other plugins are turned off the error still occurs. Even in the TwentyTwelve theme, the error continued
