Why did you abandon your great plugin?
Since a few hours your plugin page says:
“has been closed as of September 27, 2024 and is not available for download. This closure is permanent. Reason: Author Request.”
Why? What happened?
This plugin was recommended as an efficient option, but I am fearful that with the square pinterest image, reshares will be low. And if I used the additional plugin that allows me to specify an image, I would have to retrofit over 800 posts. I’m also not crazy about going in and updating code to allow users to select an image, which I see is another option. Any progress on building this into the plugin which I know has been discussed in the past?

]]>I am using shared counts on a WordPress website built with Kadence theme and using Kadence blocks.
Shared counts works for native posts but not for the custom post types “event” I have created with ACF.
In the plugin settings, have selected as Supported Post Types: post, event, kadence_element.
Is there anything else I should click on to make the widget work?
]]>With the latest update to 1.5.0, server-side email was replaced with a mailto link to remove the possibility of spam. However, with Google captcha correctly implemented, I preferred the server side experience.
Is there a way to bring back server side email? Perhaps with an option for users to select the preferred method.

I have a problem with the plugin. On Saturday I wrote a blog (the blog in said link) and by Sunday it has 135 shares and then typically those numbers started varying after that, going down, going up, down and instead of going up were going all over the place. It isn’t just this post though, it has been happening for ages.
Do the plugin owners even update this plugin or do any work on it because that to me just means it’s very glitchy?!
Please help, I really need to sort this out.

when Email reCAPTCHA is enabled the “Send Email” button for sharing via email doesn’t work.
when I disable Email reCAPTCHA the button works and the email is send.
any idea what the reason could be?

Rather than post the individual share counts for each story(post), I would love to have a total share button on my landing page where all the stories are listed. This way each person does not gauge the importance of their story by comparing shares. I will still have Shared Counts social media buttons on each separate post to allow sharing but not list a share count there. Thanks for your help!

Hi all,
Facebook is returning an error page saying “href should represent a valid URL” when sharing via Shared Count.
Every URL generated so far by Shared Count to FB has this as the start of the URL
“https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=%2F%2Fwww.”
This produces a URL error.
If I remove the copy the URL into another browser window and remove the “%2F%2F” from the link, bingo, it works. So how can I fix this please? Such a shame because this is the first sharing plugin I have any form of success with!
Also, can this plugin not work with Insta?

Vast majority of URLs display the sharecount counter however there are dozens that don’t show the counter AT ALL ??
