I’m still learning ShopMagic, and so far I’m only using one automation. However, I had an issue with the WooCommerce template not displaying its header image when the ShopMagic followup email was sent. I finally got it figured out, but in the meantime, ShopMagic’s support was above and beyond. Thanks, Piotr!

The description was misleading. Big disappointment. You have to buy the pro version just for the essence (custom order statuses email), even though this was not marked as a pro function in the description.

I use the plugin to send post-sales emails to customers.
It works great!

Before I implement this free version, I wanted to check if its possible to setup an automated email that goes out to the customer one month after Order status is set to completed?
I saw a previous post saying “No Delay function”…

No delay function in the free version ??

I like the UX but unfortunately it is buggy and not working correctly.
I set up automation for pending orders and it just send 1 email. It should send reminders everyday until the pending order status changes.

It is the Best plugin!!!!

I keep revisiting the plugin in hopes of integrating it on my live site, but every time I get so far, it leaves me dissapointed by failing to miss the basics of a fully functional plugin. All the fancy bells and whistles aside, if it can’t do a simple task such as send a transactional email to my list, or allow me to save my email template properly, then it is essentially useless.
Attempting to save my email template as a ‘Standard Email’ reverts back to a plain text email immediately after saving. It does not notify me of this, but when testing and refreshing the page I can see it shows ‘Plain Text’ again.
Regarding the first issue of not being able to send an email to my subscriber list – when attempting to do so, only a couple people showed up, even though everyone in my list was subscribed. After waiting many months for a resolution, one never came.
Looking into other options like Mail Poet and Flow Notify now. If dev can’t get the core features of a plugin like this working, then it fails in every way.
Plus one star, because IF it worked, it would be fantastic.

According to the website it supports raw HTML for your templates.
Send Email – Raw HTML
Sends an email in raw HTML format. This action requires a fully functioning HTML email template that will be correctly rendered in your customers’ inboxes.
After buying the PRO version i found out the plugin uses a WYSIWYG editor called TinyMCE that when you copy-paste your own html templates it trims the whole thing destroying both the format and columns of your email. If you code your own templates by yourself or you use a framework such as MJML you are out of luck with this plugin.
Hope i can get a refund because now i have to use the WYSIWYG editor to recreate the HTML emails i developed.

EDIT 06/03/2023: I appreciate that support replied me very fast stating that the feature is not working and they will look forward to fix it.
I still also think the documentation shouldn’t advertise missing features. At this moment, choosing “Send an email”, “Send a Plain text Email” and “Send Raw HTML email” render the exact same UI with the same visual output.

EDIT 10/03/2023: Support sent me an older version of the plugin (2.37.15) in which the Raw HTML feature works flawlessly. Looking forward to have it fixed on the 3.0 version as the UI is much better.

I was searching for this kind of email marketing tool for years, but unfortunately we missed each other. I was paying a monthly fee for a big newsletter company but it got more and more expensive and it didn’t and even currently don’t have more options than ShopMagic does. So I’m really happy that I’ve finally found ShopMagic, I think we will never leave each other! ??

The free plugin description says it can send follow-up emails to customers asking for product reviews. Only after installing it tells you this feature is a pro feature that you have to pay for.

So much functionality for free. I’m sure I will buy the pro version as soon as my clients ask me to add extra features, like postponed sending of e-mails.

ShopMagic does exactly as advertised and helps not only improves your business but saves it.
Support is 100% professional and they helped me with an issue that was bugging me for months. It was my mistake for misunderstanding an event but ShopMagic supported me in finding out what was wrong and found the solution I was looking for. I was not left to figure it out by myself.
I started using this product due to Jilt shutting down and could not be more happier to be using it as a replacement.
Happy with the product, service and support ShopMagic has provided and so should you.
It just works.

It took me a while to decide on a marketing automation tool.
Considered more advanced WP-based tools such as Autonami, FluentCRM, and GroundHogg. Almost went with Omnisend after deciding it’s a better package than Klaviyo or MailerLite for my needs.
Recently, finally decided to configure better WooCommerce transactional emails and other automations as customer loyalty is becoming a bigger growth issue for the store.
While I’ve closely researched many alternatives, I was drawn to ShopMagic for its elegance and simplicity, especially with how it feels like a native part of WordPress.
Other tools might be far more powerful, but ShopMagic’s straightforward nature forces me to get started. Today, I have 8 running ShopMagic Automations.
3 of them are for internal business processes (e.g. notify admins if an order came with Notes). 2 of them replacements that work far better for us over the normal WooCommerce transactional emails. The remaining 3 are additional automations to capture leads and inspire customer loyalty.
At this point, I feel that I’ve reached the 80% of benefits of a fully-beefed up email automation system.
There are limitations to what I can do with ShopMagic (CRM, 3rd party integrations, sophisticated cart abandonment), but it’s currently the right automation solution for our scale. And nothing’s stopping me from pairing it with other tools such as WooCommerce Cart Abandonment Recovery.
As the business grows and we’d need 90% of a Klaviyo-level system, I’m optimistic that this platform would continue to keep up as our needs grow up.

Product was easy to configure. Produces an excellent, customized email that I send out two days after my order is completed. I give my customers a “thanks” and some important links to help them have a positive experience.
