I want to add this to my WP website, but it says it’s not been tested on my version (6.5.3) – but why? The plugin hasn’;’t been updated for 9 months.

]]>HI, I added this plugin yesterday and used it by adding the “CurrentDate“ block within my first site page.
It was Ok, but today, even I emptied caches, history and cookies from the browser, The date was not updated at “today“ and staid at yesterday.
Is it normal or did I miss something ?
]]>Hey guys,
The shortcodes are a little long, so when we need to use them, we have to have memory to remember how to type them, or have to write them down somewhere. So I would like to know if these shortcodes show up in the post editor (classic and gutenberg editor)?
I have some authors on my site, and I would like them to be able to access through the post editor to easily enter dates. It’s not easy having to keep explaining to authors the shortcodes they can use. Authors get lost and end up inserting it wrong.
And a suggestion… You could create smaller shortcodes. Instead of [current_date format=’Y’], it could just be [Y].
Thanks!
]]>Recently I noticed by accident that a page containing the date shortcode was displaying the old date. The issue had obviously something to do with caching, since by clearing the page cache, the problem got solved temporarily. I tried to exclude your plugin’s path or only its .JS files in LiteSpeed Cache plugin, but the problem still remained, meaning that the page cache must be cleared every day in order for the correct date is displayed. any suggestion?
Thanks in advance!
]]>Hello,
The shortcode does not work on:
1/ the carroussel on my home page. The carroussel is automatically created by my wordpress theme so I have no control over it.
2/ the breadcrumbs (using Yoast).
Can you please help me fix this so that I can use your great plugin?

]]>Hi,
I use this excellent plugin in my website in Titles. I also use TranslatePress to translate my text. The problem is TranslatePress translate the title after the shortcode so i’ve some 2022 in my titles and more [current_date format=’Y’].
How can I exclude your shortcode from being translated? Do you have some gettext?
Thanks
I have used the shortcode [current_date format=’Y’] and the year was correctly applied to my page.
The isse is that when I reopen the page to edit its content, the shortcode is not there anymore.
Is it normal for the shortcode to disappear from the Edit mode in WordPress? How then will the date update in a year if the shortcode is not there anymore?
Are you aware of some incompatibilities between this shortcode and some plugins? I’m using GeneratePress theme, GenerateBlocks and the SEOPress plugins.
Thank you.
]]>First, thank you to the team for the great plugin.
I was wondering about this => Does the short code [current_date format=’Y’] work:
1 – in the (SEO) Title?
2 – in the Meta Description?
3 – slug?
Thank you

]]>I really appreciated the “shortcode for current date” plugin. Here’s an idea for a new feature for this plugin, or an entirely new plugin: How about a feature that, in addition to computing the current year, would ALSO compute an up-to-date currency value?
for example, in the WordPress page referenced above, search the phrase “equivalent to more than $700,000 in 2021.”
I wish that I could make this page “evergreen” by having both the date AND the dollar figure Update annually. The dollar figure was derived from an online “inflation calculator, such as this one:
https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/
So the plugin could query that database, or some other, depending upon the currency desired.
Thank you for taking a look at this!

Seems to be a Nice plugin, but I have question.
I tried the following code that you also show as example.
[current_date format=’F d, Y’]
and it returns
’March
Any suggestion on this?

Shortcode work for Google. Shortcode don’t work when I post on facebook or skype my postlink. Facebook or skype don’t take meta title (YOAST) but post title “Les meilleures crèmes anesthésiantes pour les tatouages [current_date format=’Y’]” when i use shortcode in title.
Have you an idea please ?
]]>I have used this plugin for a while now, and like it.
But I wish it had a way of causing an auto-refresh of the div containing the shortcode, so that it can automatically update the date on the page, as it displays from one day to the next. A very occasional autorefresh is probably all that’s required. I don’t expect my users to be sophisticated enough to know to refresh the page when the date/time shown is out of date.
I realize that this is perhaps a more general-purpose question, probably involving the use of AJAX, but if there’s a simple way of doing it, that would be very much appreciated!
