Just wanted to inform you that having both Shortcode UI and All In One SEO activate at the same time is causing a conflict on one of my clients websites ([ redundant link removed ]) that results in nobody being able to log in because it goes into an long redirect loop that results in a Too Many Redirects error.
Disabling either AIOSEO or Shortcode UI in the cPanel (or via FTP) by renaming it’s folder fixes the issue.

This plugin is one of it. We are success in installing and activate it and set things up but after few hours not sure why but when we try to access the setting. ]]>I only just noticed this when I went to edit an image on a page of my website, I couldn’t, the image just refused to bring up the media library. I then tried to insert an image into a new page and it refused to bring up link library. When I deactivated the plugin, the problem was solved. I am using elementor and oceanwp theme on the site.

Seems to me anyone who develops a plugin, should have error logging turned on, so they can see their own flaws.
But what do I know. Perhaps flying blind is a virtue.
I’ve been using this plugin successfully to provide clients with a UI for adding shortcodes. Recently, though, I’ve noticed errors when using it to edit an item in a custom taxonomy created with ACF. The problem arises because of the current_user_can_edit_post() test — I’m logged in as an admin so it’s definitely not that I don’t have permission, I suspect the test is simply inappropriate but I’m not enough of a WP guru to know what would be a better plan, or if the test is even necessary at all. In any case, commenting out this test in render_shortcode_for_preview() in class-shortcode-ui.php solves the problem, but it seems like the wrong approach, and of course if the plugin ever gets updated then that’ll go.

]]>I’m experiencing a weird issue when using Shortcake UI in combination with ARVE Video Embed.
When uploading images to the media gallery, images appears multiple times identically just with slighty different file names while WordPress claims that the upload failed (“An error occurred in the upload”).
The issue appears when ARVE and Shortcake UI both are installed and active while it disappears if either of the two plugins is deactivated. Feedback from the ARVE developer is that their plugin is just utilizing the functionality of Shortcake UI so the bug/issue must be in the Shortcake UI code …
How to reproduce the issue:
Add new post – add media – create gallery – upload files (and do so) – create new gallery – insert gallery – repeat adding a new gallery
-> uploading the file(s) for the second gallery result in the error message “file0040.jpg An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”
In fact, the image files are being uploaded and multiplied in the media gallery. If you check, there are several identical images now with file names file0040-1.jpg, file0040-2.jpg etc.
This behavior can be stopped by saving the post after every gallery/image inserted into the post, which of course is pretty annoying.
I’ve tested this in three different WordPress blogs with different themes and in one cast (a test environment) with all other plugins deactivated.
I’d love to keep using ARVE and Shortcode UI plugins as I did for years and never had this issue; it started just recently …

When Shortcode UI is active in WordPress 5.0 or higher, it triggers a php notice:
> PHP Notice: edit_form_advanced is deprecated since version 5.0.0! Use block_editor_meta_box_hidden_fields instead. This action is still supported in the classic editor, but is deprecated in the block editor.
This PHP notice then triggers Gutenberg to load in “Quirks Mode”, which leads to additional issues like metaboxes appearing on top of blocks in the editor. Shortcode UI must be deactivated to make the block editor usable.

Is there a way for the Shortcake plugin to remember user parameters that have previously been entered?
The plugin works perfectly in the first instance creating a shortcode on the page/post. However, when user wants to edit the shortcode, the modal window does not seem to remember the user specified settings/parameters.
Any ‘text’ field does this perfectly and that does not appear to be the issue. However, when I introduce select fields or checkboxes/radio buttons, the user data is not displayed when editing the shortcode using the Visual Editor. Is there a hook or function I can use to get the editor to remember this information?

The Author URI is a 404 error url on the Fusion.net site. Not fun when you click on it from your WordPress admin.

In the dev.php example file (via GitHub) there is a demo of an Add Image field. Perfect for adding a special image to a shortcode tag but it’s just a little different from the original WordPress Add Image field.
There are no Display Settings visible. How do I make those settings visible? I would like to give my mom the option to add X pre defined image size to a shortcode.

So many conflicts. I have disable this plugin before doing any sort of work in the WP Admin. It’s terrible. Please update.

This plugin is incompatible with Woocommerce. After testing, I can confirm that it interferes with the Woocommerce Products Pages.
It stops me from Adding any products to the Product Gallery and it also stops the function of the Add/Remove Featured Image.
It simply stops them all, and the page refreshes back to the top each time I click on the links to edit the product images, either to remove or to add them.
This is a major issue, so please fix it.

I had problems this morning with the configuration panel of WooCommerce Products e.g. clicking on the links to change the tabs did nothing – and other oddities that made it impossible to edit Products.
After considerable investigation, I found that the culprit is Shortcode UI 0.7.0.
After restoring version 0.6.2, normality with WooCommerce Product configuration was achieved.

Can you just make one Page under Appearance or Setting where you put nothing but simple formatted text ?
Starter help, some real life examples, etc.. It wont make anything complicated, and will not add many miliseconds of pageload in backend. And would mean much for all Users. Not all people know or have lust to open developer PHP file and read comments there.
It is not the same to find examples around net, and when examples come from you. It guarantees code quality and standards with latest plugin version.
