hello, can you help me to display the short link on all pages automatically ?
Thanks a lot.
]]>After installing your plugin it stops autoposting to social media plugin called Nextscripts social networks auto-poster.
So I needed to deactivate your plugin.
Given one of the below URLs, this plugin will sometimes hijack the preview URL and redirect to a post instead. Probably when a new post partially matches another existing post ID? Something like that.
https://www.example.com/?p=576&preview=true
https://www.example.com/?page_id=576&preview=true
I think it’s missing a !is_preview()
conditional somewhere.
I found your plugin after WordPress removed the short link function starting in 4.4. The plugin works great for pages and posts. The only problem that I’m seeing is that it’s making shortlinks for category and tag pages that don’t work. I don’t need the shortlinks for tag and categories, so it would be great if I could just turn those off. Is there a way that I can do that?
]]>I love this plugin, it does exactly what I need. My issue is that I also need the link structure will be the same as the original WordPress short link.
For example, my Staff page URL was always:
https://www.nextn.es/?p=24469 (see the “?p=”)
Now, with Shorter Links plugin are:
https://www.nextn.es/24469
In the Settings Page of Shorter Links there is a section for setting link structure, but if I put https://www.nextn.es/?p=, the resulting link is https://www.nextn.es/?p=/, adds a “/” in the end of URL.
Is there any way to solve my problem? Thank you very much and congratulations on this simple and effective plugin.
]]>Hi,
I have a created a custom post type and have added a custom shortlink to one of my posts. At first it worked, but when I change it to something else it redirects to ‘Page not found’.
What could be the issue?
]]>When I have this plugin enabled (which I don’t now), my posts from the year 2013 (e.g. https://colintedford.com/2013/05/23.0722-summer-in-headville-p-1/) redirect to https://colintedford.com/2012/11/30.0859-birthday-book-cover/, which has the shortlink number 2013. I haven’t seen it happen with other years yet.
]]>Any way to set the default URL for all the posts?
I would like to display “domain.com” all the time, regardless of which posts, page, site etc visitors are visiting…
thanks!
]]>I use a lot of pages, and if you have a hierarchy of pages, the cutomised link will only work if it is a ‘top level’ page.
Any sub-pages the standard page number links, however the custom link doesn’t work
i.e. top level page # 166 with a custome code of UR
domainname.com/166 redirects
domainname.com/UR redirects
sub-page # 40 with a custome code of FS
domainname.com/40 redirects
domainname.com/FS DOESN’T REDIRECT
haven’t tried it with posts…..
though theoretcially there should be no difference in the errors.
