Hi, I can’t figure this out. I just want a shoutbox in my sidebar. I’m using another shoutbox right now but it’s slowing my site and showing ads.
I installed correctly. I see a “Shouts” and not “Shouty.”
1- What is a shout?
2- It looks like creating a post. What do I do there?
3- I’d like to just insert a shortcode in the sidebar widget. I don’t understand the concept you’re using and found no detailed instructions.
Can you help?
Thank you,
Andre
]]>Hi, I copied your shortcode, added it to a widget and added a previously made ‘Shoutbox’ category where it used to say home page. Everything works but the posts aren’t showing up at all. They post but you can only see via the back end.
Here is my shortcode:
[shouty category=”shoutbox” look=”widget” user=”show” form=”show” messages_number=”5″ messages_title=”hide” messages_users_avatar_size=”50″ show_more_button=”show”]
Here is my website:

Thanks!
]]>How I can remove the link from shoutbox comments.
Kind regards

Is it compatible with wordpress 4.3 or should I wait for another release?
Thank you ??
hi,
how can i add the widget into the sidebar? can’t seem to find it at “design-widgets”
thanks!
Hi, I love the Shouty plugin. Have you or any of your users added Facebook and/or Twitter share buttons to a shout?
]]>When viewed on the page in a widget the links do not show up, they link to a URL but it seems broken.
I don’t know if I need to create a page, or set some template in advance. View the box on the bottom of this page:
https://dev.dadsofdestiny.net/members-directory/
ShoutBox URL: https://dev.dadsofdestiny.net/shout
Any ideas?

Warning: file_get_contents(.jpg?) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /chroot/home/thathost/thathost.co/html/darkcrucible/wp-content/plugins/shouty/shouty.php on line 246
Additionally, could you please mention in your description that the shortcode for Shouty is [shouty]? It would save some time for people instead of having to look through the coding.
]]>I’d like to edit the form and remove the email field. Can you please tell me which template I would edit, and where in the template I’d find this entry?
Thank you in advance.
