I am setting up a community website with buddypress, and I’d like to have ajax chat functionality to replace buddypress’s default. Is there a way to sync this plugin to buddypress?

We use shortcode to display chat room on a page called Chat Room, and we can add it to a widget/sidebar… but is there a way to have an open chat icon on bottom right of the screen where user can click on open chat and then the chat room will open up and remain open/update while the user navigates to other pages on the site? I’m sure you are familiar… its the same way most online customer support does their chat w/ customer support. Would be cool to have this option to enable/disable (floating chat room) Thank you

I seem to have a problem with the script. I set the chat to a page and incerted to short code.
For some reason, on the page where the chat is located it blocks the login and register script.
has anyone else had this problem?
I could be that my lack of experience in website building could be at faut somewhere.

]]>In your latest version ‘20240318‘ it passes a ‘null’ as URL and it highlights it users username as URL with ‘null’ as value. In my settings ive disabled ‘Linked Username’ so it shouldnt create a URL of the usernames.

I’ve tried uninstalling the plugin and deleting and starting again from scratch and still getting the same error.

I installed the plugin and configured it, nothing unusual. However, when trying to use it and send the message, absolutely nothing happens. I checked the forum and found a similar issue had occurred before. I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it, but the error persists.

But it should be:

The date_i18n function is meant for this kind of thing.

I think i found the problem chat only appears to logged in users. Chat requires users to be logged in to view and use the chat box ? Its mandatory or there is any way to solve this.

on nginx servers the directives protect the /wp-content/ folder and your plugin is simply not working.
Maybe also blocked on apache when using security plugins or cache plugins which optimize htacccess like wpro cket
