Please note, as this player is for Brightcove’s old player version, this plugin is deprecated.
You should switch to using the Brightcove Video Connect plugin, which supports the current player and has more functionality in general.

You can use Brightcove’s Directed Migration Tool, which will switch out the Smart Players you have published with this plugin with the new player version, without having to replace the embed code.

No matter which player I pick in the “Quick Video Publish” section, or even when I use a long URL that is specifically listing a player, I get “There is no player at…”
I am currently trying to make this work at:

Deprecated: Function split() is deprecated in /Users/jpresley/Sites/wordpressunified/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/simple-brightcove-player-embed/brightcove-wordpress-simple.php on line 81
notice.
According to php manual there are replacement options for split().
Note:
As of PHP 5.3.0, the regex extension is deprecated in favor of the PCRE extension. Calling this function will issue an E_DEPRECATED notice. See the list of differences for help on converting to PCRE.
Tip
split() is deprecated as of PHP 5.3.0. preg_split() is the suggested alternative to this function. If you don’t require the power of regular expressions, it is faster to use explode(), which doesn’t incur the overhead of the regular expression engine.
Tip
For users looking for a way to emulate Perl’s @chars = split(”, $str) behaviour, please see the examples for preg_split() or str_split().

First get a link to the video and player you want to use from the Video Cloud media module.
Select a video
In the Quick video publish box on the right, select a player
Under Copy publishing code, select URL
Copy the URL
In the post editor, add the the URL surrounded by [bc] and [/bc], for example:
