We’ve been using this plugin for years and just wanted to share my appreciation for it. While it always kept working, it’s been quiet for a while but the recent update has been great. No major changes but the tabbed interface really works. Thanks for building and maintaining this!

I thought this plugin was working great. But then I added a new event to the google calendar and realized it doesn’t update the calendar on your WordPress unless you manually open the calendar page and hit “update” each time you add an event via google calendars. Actually even if you are adding post based events, every time you add a new event you need to open the calendar and “update” it again.

The plugin is not internationalized, hence unsuitable for non-English sites. A pitty, because it looks like a good plugin.

I’ve been searching for this type of an events listing for ages. This one is just perfect in it’s simplicity. Thank you.

It’s an events manager. Not a calendar. Don’t name a plugin “calendar” unless it displays events on the frontend in calendar format.
Edit: Other than that, the plugin did display the events on the frontend very cleanly, and the backend was easy to use. The dashboard for adding events could flow a bit better, but then again it’s insanely lightweight and straightforward.

Does what it says on the tin, simple to use and implement.

I was searching for a simple management of events and this plugin is exactly what I want. I’ve modificated it heavily and used this for a radio station scheduler. The code is written in a very clear and clean way. Very nice job.

Simple and easy to use – just what my client needs.
The only thing I would add is an option not to have an end date/ time. This would be useful as most of my events are gigs that just last one evening and don’t have a definite end time.

Instructions say add shortcode [events] to a page to display events.
The pages only displays the text events.
Yes I created events. Yes they are published and public. Yes the dates are in the future.

… and redirects events page to site homepage even after this broken plugin is uninstalled.

Great plugin with the correct name: No training needed, my clients just get it. I do always give my clients a print out of all the shortcodes so if I could make one tiny little suggestion: could you add this list to the plugin so they can quickly check the options without leaving their dashboard?

Allows me to quickly add any workshops I’m giving. Used to do this by hand but when you forget to take it offline it just looks sloppy. This plugin solves that issue as the events disappear when they’re in the past. Love it! 5 stars!
