I was trying to add multiple maps on a single map with the same API key. It shows the maps, but the cmap controls can be seen only on the last map and rest of the maps get converted to images.

Is there a way to fix this?
Thank you.
First off, I love the plugin, thank you. The google documentation was hard to follow and I was struggling.
I was curious if there is a way to stop the Zoom function of the map.
I have it loaded in a spot that causes the map to zoom in instead of allowing the user to scroll down my page. Of course I could change the placement, but if I don’t have to, I’d rather not.
BTW I tried to disable to the scrollwheel but it still seems to zoom the map.

Thanks for the great plug-in. I have a question – does this plug-in allow to add more than one pin(address)? Right now, I can add one pin using this shortcode, but I’m looking to add a second pin.
[pw_map address=”New York City” key=”API”]
And one more question, actually how can I add an address because it doesn’t work on my end. It’s working only if I add “New York City”.
Thanks in advance!
Wondering if there is a way to display a message regarding cookie acceptance? Google Maps will only display if the user has accepted marketing cookies (for those of us using cookie banners, such as Complianz). If the user has not accepted them, there will be a big blank space. Rather a bad user experience. Perhaps allow the user to specify a message in the plugin settings if the browser is blocking the cookies that google maps needs to operate?
Hi,
If I want to display more than 1 map (for example 5 maps) on 1 Page then only the last map (bottom of the page) can zoom-in and zoom-out.

Thanks ??

I don’t want to share the url having the issue but I am having issues with Google Maps working for 1 location. If I change the location for another then the map does not show up? I have restrictions only for the domain not for anywhere else on the site. Why would it work for a specified address and not other addresses. I’ve tried a few. I also tried with and without a zip and with and without USA on the address for the shortcode. I have enabled everything as far as the API. I’ve used this on many sites. Again it is not an issue on 1 location. Just problematic for any others.
I have read all the previous topics about this issue, but none of them has a solution.
My API key is valid, Geocoding API enabled, HTTP-referral restricted to my domain (tried this on and off, no change), and yet I get no output.
Yes, I tried different variations of how the address is written. Even tried the addresses you suggested to previous users. I guess those SHOULD work, no?
So, does this plugin still work with the Google API, at all?
I do see the counter for the API usage go up in the Google console when I’m testing, so I presume the requests do reach Google. But nothing shows on my page.
Where else could I look?
In the linked page, for which I need help, you can see a text “Google Maps” at the bottom and a horizontal line. Between those two there is the shortcode.

Hi
My map recently stopped displaying. I assumed it was a Google Maps API thing. I added a key and the address seems good but I don’t get a map, no PHP error, no console error. I am stumped.
This is my shortcode:
[pw_map address=”1123 Broadway, New York, NY 10010, USA” key=”removed”]
My key appears to be valid, as does my address, billing is attached, the Geocoding API is enabled. I do see errors in the Geocoding API which seem to relate to hitting the page I am having problems with. I am finding it really hard to find any information within the Google Cloud Platform as to what those errors are.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Regards
Mike
Hoping for help!
pw_map shortcode outputs nothing at all — no map on the page, no html in source, not even any errors in console. Using v1.3.2.
I have an api key in the shortcode, and the api key has billing attached in google acct.
I’ve used this plugin on other sites, but it’s not working here. The theme includes googlemaps, but I manually disabled it (commented out the add_actions), to avoid conflicts with pw_map.
Thx.

The Map is not working. I am using it as a shortcode on the 2017 theme. No other plugins except Wordfence. Which I have disabled with no luck in the past and enabled again for security. I haven’t had this problem until recently. It just outputs the script file.

no map below. this is is on a sub domain staged site. and other site I tried to get it to work with was a www. does that have something to do with it?

Good morning!
I’ve recently deployed this plugin to replace another older, non-supported plugin and generally things are working well, but I have a number of pages where the shortcode simply does not generate any display.
For some of the problematic pages, I’m able to change the address in the shortcode (and then change it back) and the map displays- almost like this is a caching issue. For other problematic pages, nothing I do seems to make a difference and no map ever displays. Not sure why my results are so inconsistent. I’ve validated my Google Maps API is good and tied to a billing account in good standing.
I am also getting the “initMap” is not a function error in the JS console as some others have reported. Screenshot here: https://i.imgur.com/k3UpnFz.png
Since Google will soon be charging for API use I need a solution to disable this plugin. If I simply de-activate it all the raw shortcodes appear on thousands of my blog pages. If I deactivate my API key for maps the shortcodes display an Error. I need my blog pages to be blank without a space or error without having to manually deleting all shortcodes on my blogs. Thank you VERY much in advance for your help on this troubling matter.

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that I’m getting a JS issues when loading the map. Map is loaded and working fine, however the JS error is there. Seems to be internal logic for the GMaps API. When created an empty function called initMap the error is gone.

Hi folks!
With Google planning some heavy charges for map use, I’m searching for solutions to serve up static maps. Found your plugin today. I’ve used Mappress for many years and will continue to have it installed for showing routes, but want to use your plugin for cached maps that rarely change. I replaced several maps on my website by using your shortcode and the lat-lon addresses I use for readers to follow. I’ve replaced my actual API key with “valid key” in the examples below. However, I’ve had mixed results.
No problem displaying here:
https://floridahikes.com/castillo-de-san-marcos
[pw_map address=”29.896631, -81.311644″ disablecontrols=”true” key=”valid key”]
https://floridahikes.com/ribault-column
[pw_map address=”30.387960, -81.489865″ disablecontrols=”true” key=”valid key”]
Displayed here once then vanished, and came back on next load:
https://floridahikes.com/ah-tah-thi-ki
[pw_map address=”26.325975,-80.999618″ disablecontrols=”true” key=”valid key”]
On these pages, the maps simply won’t display at all, not even once.
https://floridahikes.com/playalinda-beach
[pw_map address=”28.644433,-80.684619″ disablecontrols=”true” key=”valid key”]
https://floridahikes.com/billie-swamp-safari
[pw_map address=”26.322398, -81.052849″ disablecontrols=”true” key=”valid key”]
I’m reluctant to go any farther with changing out what I have with your shortcode until I understand why it is only showing some maps, but not all. If there is a known conflict with Mappress, do let me know. I am not including a Mappress shortcode on any of the above pages.
Thank you! – Sandra
Pippin,
For starters, we work on a lot of stuff together and I thank you. Your plugins are amazing. But I wanted to bring something to your attention. All is working, and I am getting the map to show up, etc. But when I hit “Update” on a page or post with the shortcode in it, I get a white screen with two PHP warnings at the top. I am positive it is this plugin because I don’t get it when I deactivate it.

Hi Pippin,
I′m having issues with this plugin.
1. Seems like you forgot to include the $api_key variable:
function pw_map_get_coordinates( $address, $force_refresh = false, SHOULD_BE_HERE? )
2. The <script type=’text/javascript’ src=’//maps.google.com/maps/api….. don′t seem to be correctly implemented. If I view source on a site with this shortcode the script tag is on the first line, above
etc.
This makes IE11 (in compatibility mode) go crazy ??
