Any chance this can be updated to the latest version of WordPress? It appears to be working fine for me, just gets flagged as likely abandoned. Maybe there’s another easy way to do what this widget does, but it works for me. Thanks for making it available.

It’s easy to reorder the list by dragging, but the correct order (alphabetical) won’t stay. I have 30-forty items and still adding, and when I add new, I can drag it from the end of the list to where it belongs. I hit done, done, then update to save it, but it will not change the order of the items on the web page, no matter how often I refresh the page or save my list.

When items are set to “Show on checked pages”, they do not output at all – if I have Polylang activated. This only appeared as an issue recently, likely with an update to WP or Polylang. Once Polylang is deactivated the Simple Link List outputs again.

Oddly, if I instead choose to “Hide on checked pages”, or if I choose a particular language (English) to show the Simple Link List on… then it works, even with Polylang activated.

Any help is appreciated, but I cannot share the URL yet, site is not yet public.

I’ve had simple links installed for a long time and just recently noticed the links on my site are only visible when you scroll over them on the website. No additions/plugins were made to the site and the sidebar widget worked perfect even after updating wordpress. Please help. Site is https://www.hhpd.com

Hey there, I just noticed a bug in your widget. I added 20 links, all checked with “Open in a new window,” but only the first three were checked after save. I checked them again and saved a second time, and it worked, but just figured I’d let you know. Other than that, great plugin!

could i use this to create a multi column list in the main body of my homepage?

the theme that i use does not presently create a compact way of displaying all my categories (created through the theme)

if i could create my own responsive css list and just add the cat links manually and add this multi col list to my homepage, would be great

This plugin has helped me out on client sites more than once. One thing I’m currently using it for is to list pdfs that have been uploaded to the library. Instead of manually having to copy/paste the link (easy for me, not for them), wouldn’t it be cool to be able to have a “insert from the library” option?

Hi, I am looking exactly for this plugin – but I found problem. It works correctly in sidebar widget area (I am using Zerif lite theme) but incorrectly in page created by PageBuilder. There is not possible to ADD new link, so limit is only default 3 links. Is it possible to set-up number of default links to make some round-about?

Very nice widget, exactly what I needed ?? I only have a problem with super tiny font of the links. I found somewhere on the forum info about font color change and so tried to put:

.link-font {
 font-size: 16px;
    color: #000000;
}

in simple-link-list-widget/css/sllw.css
and then put link-font in the Custom Style Class box, but nothing changed.

Could you please advise me what to do to change the font size?

The widget is working perfectly as designed. However, there is one relatively small feature I think would be an improvement. I would like to see a text area before (and maybe after) the links. I’m putting my affiliate links in a list, and would like to put a small disclaimer ahead of them so people know what they are. Currently, I could edit the plugin and force the text in, but that’s inelegant and not reusable (plus, it would get wiped out if/when you need to update the code). This ability could also be useful to others for describing what’s in the list.

when I add a link for example https://www.climia.es to the widget in https://www.restauranteasrodas.com the likn shows up correctly but clicking on it lead to https://www.restauranteasrodas.com/www.climia.es and 404 error.

any ideas?

Hello there,

I started using your widget (0.3.1) and it’s the best for the result I want to achieve. But once I configure the widget in the admin panel and I refresh it (or log in) all my links disappeared from the administration panel. They are still shown on the final page, but there is no way to correct a link, add a new one or delete one you don’t want. The thing is, every time you want to edit a link you have to add them all, and I think it’s a little bit tedious.

Have you experienced something like this before? Do you have an idea how to solve it?

I am trying to change the color of the font of links in one of the lists.
I have created a new style definition in my theme stylesheet

.link-font {
 font-size: 16px;
    color: #000000;
}

and in the Custom Style Class box added ‘link-font’
The font size change works however the color doesn’t change?
I tried added an !important to the end and had no luck with that either.
Anything else i can try?

Hello, I just found your plugin today and it is great! But I have for some issue with lists of 10 or more. When I add the 10th item and fill it in and save, it empties the fields. When I add the 11th and anything above, fill them in and save them, when it reloads 11 has the same info from 1, 12 has the info from 2, and so on and so forth.

I assume it is just something in the PHP, but I am not versed enough in PHP to solve this… Wasn’t sure if you could look into this.

Installed your plugin as it was the only one I could use to recommend the news I’m currently reading. I have a issue, or let’s say a question that has been posted on the forum 2 years ago but has no answer and the topic is closed now. The plugin works like that:
Link 1 added – Link 1 in the sidebar
Link 2 added – Link 2 in the sidebar after him.

Is there a way to inverse the links and newly ones to appear first?

When adding it to my sidebar, it only allows for the addition of 4 links (only 4 spaces to add links). Is this actually the case, or is there something I should be doing in order to be able to add more links to a given list?
