The plugin does the job but at the cost of a relative complexity, mainly due to the lack of documentation, particularly a step-by-step tutorial.

But trial and error + the support page + apocalypseboy.com/simple-slides are good friends that will help you get what you want with the plugin.

all the other plugins i tried were either too complicated, or ineffective, due to conflicts with lightbox or other type of js. although the slide management is not my favorite part of this plugin, i have to say it works fine and was the best solution to place different slideshows in various posts.

also, when i requested for support, the author was speedy to reply. after browsing through dozens of options, this was the best free solution i found, and one of the few that really hit the spot.
