With PHP 7.1, this plugin is now giving warning

`Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; Acx_Slideshow_Widget has a deprecated constructor in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-slideshow-manager/function.php on line 1013′

Please can we have a fix? Or if it will not be fixed, please say so.

I just noticed in my dashboard this message:

“This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.”

I have an open support question elsewhere and can not find where the previously created slideshows are stored in the database, but if this plugin has been abandoned, can someone from Acurax let us know so that I don’t waste any more time trying to fix my problem? Thanks.

I just moved my WordPress site to a new server, one that is a “Managed WordPress Server,” and after using the migration tool, the whole site is over on the new server – except the slideshows. When I go to “Slideshow Manager Settings,” the only one remaining is “default.” Is there a way I can export or backup the existing slideshows from the old server and move them on my own manually? I’m really hoping to avoid having to recreate all of them one slide at a time, as I have numerous slideshows with probably a total of well over a thousand slides between all of the slideshows.

I have just added SSL to my site and noticed that the slideshows I previously created are loading via http. No problem I thought, I’ll go edit those slideshows to load via https, but unfortunately the “Add Slide as Image” fails to work. I see the following in the Console:

I thought perhaps this was due to adding [SSL Secure Content Fixer](https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/ssl-insecure-content-fixer), but the problem persists even after disabling that plugin.

size changing

I created differents slideshows with the same specified size (1500X1200), same image size, but they are not desplaying same.

Black Dot On Top Left of Slideshow

I am using the Simple Slideshow Manager in a widget in the Header of a website on the Canvas Theme. In the upper left corner of the slideshow there is a black dot. I cannot find how it is inserted or any description using the browser inspection tool.

This same dot appears when I insert the slideshow into a footer widget.

How can I get the black dot to go away?

I’ve specified a height and width for the slideshow.
When the aspect ration of the photos changes, the height of the slideshow changes as well.
Is there any way to get the plugin to truncate or scale the images to fit within the specified space?

Is it possible to hide the navigation arrows on the slideshow. A user posted this code:

but it only removed the right arrow, the left still remains. Any ideas would be most helpful. Thank you.

Advanced Slideshow Access Disappears Daily

I bought the advanced version of the slideshow, but the extra features disappear daily. I have to delete the plugin and reinstall it for them to show. I have opened a ticket on the Acurax client website, but have gotten no response.
I am using WP Puzzle Basic Theme. Maybe someone can help me out.

I am having trouble with the slideshow on my homepage. The images seem to shrink during the transitions.

All of my images are natively resized to 700×394. My gallery settings are also set to the same. And the widget is posted to the same dimensions. Yet between each image it seems to shrink during the transition.

My WordPress version and all of my plugins are updated to the latest versions. Any idea why this might be happening?

Hi,

I am using Simple Slideshow Manager on the homepage of my site: https://matrixone.co.uk/wpad/.

With Chrome, there is a split-second delay in the slider loading, so the orange section below it appears in its place momentarily – which causes the screen to almost flicker. This does not happen with Firefox, Edge or Safari on an iPad. Could you please look in to and see how it can be fixed.

To recreate the issue, press the Home button repeatedly.

When viewing a slider on tablet or mobile, if you tap your finger on the slideshow to scroll up or down it freezes and never starts again, pause on hover is deactivated.

I was running WordPress v3 with ePix theme but had to update to WordPress v4.3.1 due to security concerns.

I now do not see the slideshow plugin being displayed in the WordPress backend but only the custom field codes – the Simple Slideshow Manager plugin page is shown for about a second, the page goes blank and then I am left with only this:-

I told the slide show in two different places to use 600×400 size, but it will change based on the actual image, so some are 400×600 and so it jumps around.

On the advanced area I put the size, and in the widget area I put the size, all the same, but it is not doing it.

The slideshow on the front page of my website just recently started acting up. As the slides advance it seems to shrink just before advancing to the next slide. I haven’t made any changes to my site or front page since it began except to update plugins, so I think it must be an issue with this plugin or another.

I updated to 2.0 and could no longer set width and height to percentage (%).
I need my slideshow to be 100% width and height in order to still work responsively, as you suggest here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/making-slideshow-responsive?replies=6

After update it’s only pixels, which means my slideshow became 100x100px.

I had to install an older version to make it work. Please fix this!
