this plugin gives issue after updated the wordpress to the new version 6.5
due to it uses old jquery and there syntax due to this i m not able to use it even i m using this plugin for main feature like login ,reset pass for custom implementation
it doesn’t show up in my widgets nor on the edit pages so i haven’t a clue how to get this form to show up to display the login.

My login is looking good on staging but not on live (https).
default.css is being blocked (/wp-content/plugins/simplemodal-login/css/default.css) because is “mixed content” and from what i just read, mixed content has access to all the DOM, hence is “dangerous” if served via HTTP on a HTTPS page.
I guess the solution would be to serve it over HTTPS? I algo guess this implies tweaking the plugin? If so, what file/line should we modify? What happens if we upgrade the plugin later?

Also, is it possible to let the users choose their password, instead of sending them a random password?

]]>Hi Guys, Im using your “SimpleModal Login” plugin for a pop up login form, I just wanted to know how to change the lables on the login form. on my main login page the user can login with both username and email address, the lable tells them “username or email address”. But on the login form on the pop up it only shows username, even when the user can use email address to login with the pop up form.

I love this plug. When a client asked to find a way to have a customised popup login form appear on a product page and still stay on the product page when the user logged in. This plugin worked like a dream. But now the client has thrown in a curve ball. They want multiple login forms, each customised.
EG: The shop has two users, wholesale and retail. There will be an area in the side bar with three links, (1) Retails customer login (2) Wholesale customer login (3) create an account. If the user clicks retail link, a popup with “Retail customer login area” and a company logo will appear. If they click the wholesale link a popup with “Wholesale Login area” and a company logo “will appear.
I think this plugin only gives one login form template. It their way to add in another template of is there a pro version that will do what the client wants?

]]>This plugin does not work because of a conflict with our custom theme. All it does is bring up the standard WordPress login page via wp-login.php when invoked using

I can switch to a supported theme and the plugin works simply as advertised, but of course our custom site is fairly garbled ;(. However, our custom theme ensures jQuery 1.9.1 and an expert who examined what was going on felt that SimpleModal Login wanted a jQuery version of 1.7 or less, which is not acceptable on our site. This plugin has not been updated for two years and I’m wondering if there are plans to update it so that it can work with our custom theme.
These are the lines in our custom theme that control our jQuery version:

wp_register_script( 'jquery', 'https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.min.js', false, '1.9.1');

When I showed the issue to the folks that developed our custom theme, they concluded the issue was the SimpleModal Login wants a jQuery version less than 1.7. For our purposes, we require at least jQuery 1.9.1. In the code that kicks off our theme, we have the following lines:
When I invoke the pluging using

all I get is the standard wp-login.php page. No errors, just not your modal login. If I change to a basic theme, it of course works, so I’m trying to decide whether we deal with this at the theme level (our consultant doesn’t want to move to jQuery < 1.7 if that indeed is the issue) or if this plugin needs an update to work with jQuery 1.9.1.

First of all, I have added the following to a Custom Link as a menu item:

And about the same for the sign up.
What I want is to add the redirect feature both on login and logout.
I found from your installation guide this “https://www.ads-software.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=&” but I do not know how to implement it. Can I use it as I am right now (in the menu) and if yes, what should I add to the link?
Lastly, is there a “logout” button or the user has to logout from the default wordpress bar on top?

My site is using the Simplemodal Login plugin to handle registrations and logins. The registration form has 8 form fields. The registration modal on my site is only submitting the username, password and email address. All other fields are validated, but not submitted to my user list. I generated the other fields using the WP-members plugin. I tested the form code that is generated in the modal on a blank page without a modal and the form submits all form fields. But inside the modal, for some strange reason, the form is not submitting the extra fields.
Please help, I am stumped.
