The people giving 5 stars to this are either bots or using it site wide. I wanted this for specific content. There are no instructions at all. Do not waste your time.

Ty for much I love how easy it is to set up!!! I love this plugin
HINT!!!!! if you want login popup in the nav menu
simply just add
Login
under menu-custom links, the trick is to put the code under Navigation Label and leave the URL blank. So amazing that is has this feature really good job saved me countless hours.

I’m using the latest version of WP and the latest version of Jquery.
The pop-up works but it will not login nor register users.

It’s almost ok with me but the error message for invalid username/pass is still “All fields are required” instead of saying invalid username/password. Thank you for this plugin. I’m not a really good php coder so i overrided it by putting “required” attribute to each field.

Error message appeared on the top of dashboard when I activated plugin:
“Strict Standards: Redefining already defined constructor for class SimpleModal Login in www\wp-content\plugins\simplemodal-login\simplemodal-login.php on line 92
I made research and have noticed that this error occurs not just in my case.

It does what it says, it works well and I can easily do the the customization to it I want.
Brilliant. Awesome, great job.
BTW I am testing in 3.9alpha and it works perfectly, with no errors.

Dude, I`m sorry to tell you, but there are people who just started to use WordPress. Where do you exactly implement the “wp_loginout()” in the theme… stylesheet.css? functions.php ??
Rating: 5 stars
Working just fine for me.
I’m using this plugin to allow users to login/register on any page on my site, which are almost all pages external to wordpress. You just need to apply the standard calls:
global $wp, $wp_rewrite, $wp_the_query, $wp_query;
require ‘/wordpress/wp-config.php’;
define(‘WP_USE_THEMES’, false);
require(‘/wordpress/wp-blog-header.php’);
Then, add the following calls just before
, to make sure the plugin sets itself up:
wp_footer();
wp_print_scripts();
wp_print_styles();
If you don’t want the footer to actually show, you can use css to hide it.

This plugin is a fantastic login alternative to the standard wp-login page. It is user-friendly for site visitors and easy to customize for developers to match the design of the site. I even tweaked the simplemodal-login.php to place my logo on the modal login forms. (Making that an option would be a neat ad to the plugin, in my opinion).
