Why is this not part of the Word press core.
Sure it is just JS and css, but it is so useful!
Menus should often be better built from the page structure, not created manually.
I see people asking for this kind of menu all the time. Good luck finding one that works as good as this one.
Thank you, thank you thank you.

I set out one morning (with not a lot of time to waste) to add a mobile menu to my site (amidst heavy development). I compiled a list of features that I was after, and once I came across SlickNav Mobile Menu it was great to see that it satisfied all of my requirements, “out of the box” as they say. To the small technical problem I had at the start I received immediate assistance from the plugin author. Thank you very much for this plugin, and keep up the good work!

<p class=””>I like how the plugin works. One issue I ran into is that somehow the plugin alters the display of the desktop view of the menu. I don’t have time to troubleshoot it so I ended up using a different mobile nav plugin which didn’t give me the same issue.</p>

I can’t fault this – I can use the non-WP version (coded!) for HTML sites and if I need to insert a blog page, use the WP plugin with no visible change for the user – the user doesn’t know that have moved from an HTML page to a WP page. Also able to mod nicely too. As a web designer, I love this plugin.

This plugin does exactly what it says on the tin, lightweight with a load of nice customisation options.
After messing around with a theme getting nowhere trying to implement Slicknav manually I stumbled on this plugin. It’s now happily working on the website.
Very nice and simple mobile friendly navigation.
Thank you Neil!! ??

Should be part of genesis itself, I think.

I came across this plug-in while researching how to make TwentyTwelve’s mobile menus act more like TwentySixteen—and it was turning out to be a very complicated process.
This worked right out of the box, and I needed to ask one question how to get more than one menu to get in the display. The developer promptly helped me with a correction on my menu naming in the settings.
Excellent job.

Author provided good advice to fix the CSS code from my theme that was affecting the implementation of the menu. Works perfectly now!
Provides features for free that you have to pay for in other similar mobile menu plugins. Highly recommended.

Great plugin that works right away out of the box.

I’ve used SlickNav on some sites but putting it in via the functions.php and adding the CSS separately. But this is way easier, love plugins like this that make life easier.

I’ve been hunting around for hours looking for a simple mobile responsive nav menu optimizer, and this one gets full marks from me.
The problem with my theme is that the navigation menu would “wrap” to two levels when viewed on iPad or screen resolutions around 768px in diameter. This was not good enough.
I was able to set the breakpoint in pixels where the SlickNav menu would activate in this plugin, and it works seamlessly!
The only thing I wish this plugin had was an option to make the menu “stick” to the top of the screen, but I can live without it.
FYI, to test your website on multiple devices check this site out: https://mobiletest.me

Setup was pretty simple and the plugin generally worked, but the details and customization did not. The look is nice and the options for customization were things I wanted to see.
The parent menu would not adjust the size of the menu so all the submenus were cut off. If I tried to change “Parent Menu” to “False” it did not save the option and continued to display it as a dropdown.
For the background, I added a background image. It showed up though on the backend it kept adding more “/” in front of the URL address. If I changed the background color that worked.
If I changed the text color it wouldn’t display – it stayed as white.
It would be nice to be able to change the color of the actual Menu button background rather than a big block around the menu.
Any time I made changes and clicked “Save changes”, the settings screen would revert back to the old settings though the display on the frontend were (usually) showing the new settings I entered. The “Menu Position” option would work, but if I changed a different option (say background color) and didn’t switch “Position” to “Left” again, it would revert to the default “Right” option.
I think this has great potential and would love to see some of these issues fixed so I can reinstall and use on future sites. The inherent simplicity is appealing, but some functionality needs to be fixed.
Thanks! Feel free to email me at jason @ nocoward.
