unfortunately for quite a while my slide decks don’t retreive the thumbnails of youtube or vimeo videos anymore, when I add a new slide.
The videos are playing well, but there is just a black field instead of a thumbnail in the slide deck and a black field with the slide number instead of a thumbnail in the preview.

The second slide is a new slide and shows the problem.
For this reason I wasn’t able to add any new slide for a while now.
If anybody can help to solve that issue, this would be amazing!

]]>We’ve recently come across an issue with SlideDeck, where we can no longer add new slides to anything. When we attempt to create a new SlideDeck from a Custom Content source, the SlideDeck editor page loads, but the dialog box that’s supposed to appear under the “Slide 1” button doesn’t ever load/appear.
After a bit of testing/debugging, I finally figured out that this only happens while we have Toolset Views activated on the site.
Unfortunately, no useful information is output in the site’s error log, but the following error does appear in the browser console when the issue occurs:

I’ve tried downgrading SlideDeck a few times, all the way back to 5.2.2, just in case this was something that was introduced to the plugin recently, but, they all encountered the same issue.
I’m now attempting to rollback to some previous versions of Views to see if I can pinpoint when the conflict started occurring, but I wanted to bring this to your attention. I’ll let you know if I figure out which version of Views caused this conflict.
I will also be reporting this to the Toolset team, as they should hopefully be able to come up with a solution, but I wanted to make you aware of it, as well. Thanks.

]]>I have a page with a number of SlideDecks, which all look and work fine, but I just added one that has a small but irritating problem: the title and description for its slides are colored differently than all the others. The new one, “The Science of Ha!,” has white titles and blue descriptions, while all the others have blue titles and white descriptions. Also, the fonts in “Science” appear to be larger.
Maybe the problem is that I cut and pasted previous SlideDecks, then put in the new one. But I’ve done that before without any issues. And I’ve looked at the underlying code and can’t find anything that could have caused this problem, which one would think is a SlideDeck issue, not caused by WordPress.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
]]>The developer is certainly not too interested in fixing this product with it’s many faults. I have a paypal claim against Hummingbird Co. now but their email is still sending incoming directly to spam. If they are not going to service this product, they should remove it.
]]>The Pixel lens is supposed to have a laptop and desktop and phones and other styles. In fact I get none. Just a lightbox with rectangular border.
As I wrote in the other topics, so many things in this plugin just do not work.
Also, the plugin is extremely slow! It takes 10 seconds to update the preview for every small change!

Just looking there are 3 posts here which are unanswered in more than a month! I’ve just paid for the extra lens’s and templates but the templates are not found by the plugin. Youtube ID is not found by the plugin either. Has the developer forgotten about this plugin?
Please tell me why the templates are not found by the plugin. I have installed 12 and they appear to have installed correctly but I can’t use them.
We have had Slidedeck installed on our site for several years. Recently, it stopped working properly. We had left and right navigation arrows on our slideshow and suddenly it added top and bottom navigation arrows as well and none of the arrows work at all.
In the backend preview, everything appears correctly and works correctly, but on the front end it does not.
We had been using Slidedeck 3 when this first occurred but now we have upgraded to 5 and the problem has not gone away.

]]>Slidedecks we created on a staging site are all working fine, but after we moved the staging site to the live site, it’s impossible now to create a new slidedeck using the custom option for populating it with images from the media library.
It “creates” and saves the deck, but then there’s nothing but this:

One problem is that there is no “source configuration at the top of the page” to check.
Clicking on the first slide to try to choose an images does nothing. It just sits there dead.
Please advise.
]]>I installed Slidedeck v5.1.2 to a new WordPress installation and upgraded it to the latest version (5.2.2). I had purchased and downloaded the mega bundle pack within the past two weeks, and I installed the RSS source from that. However, no matter what feed I try, I get no content found. The exact same feed URLs I’ve tried all pull content when I access them from a browser on the server in question, so I know for a fact that the feeds are good and accessible. Two of the feeds are: https://www.nasa.gov/rss/dyn/breaking_news.rss and
https://whiteplainslibrary.evanced.info/eventsxml.asp?nd=45&dm=rss2. I also have php error display turned on, and there are no errors. The WordPress version is the latest: 4.9.8. The PHP version is 5.6.37. Slidedeck works fine in all other respects such as pulling in WP posts. Thanks in advance for whatever help you can provide.
I entered the Facebook page name, and my access token. I’ve tried both the User token as well as the App token. Neither worked. Didn’t matter whether I selected Posts by Page or All Posts. It just shows “No Content Found.”

]]>Is there a specific way that you can make the body text overlay on a slide shrink when you make the page smaller? I am using a standard image slide with the tool kit lens and the body text style. I have the size of the slider set to “Full width.” I have 5 photo slides with short descriptions, and have gotten them to be more or less responsive on my page. The images shrink with the page (though not without distortion), but only one of the descriptions gets smaller in font size as the page shrinks. The descriptions on the other slides just shift around and spill out the sides of the slides instead of shrinking and remaining contained. I don’t see any difference in settings between the slide that works and the ones that don’t, one seems to just have worked that way by accident. How would any of you purposely accomplish this responsive shrinking text effect?

The SlideDeck Loop for Autoplay has an odd transition that scrolls quickly backwards through all the slides, rather than just begin again at slide one. Is there anyway around this? Some code function or change?

]]>I’ve been getting a recurring message in my organization’s WordPress site that my SlideDeck 3 license is expired. When I clicked on the link to renew my license, I was taken to a page that wanted to add me to some email list. I registered my email and received a link to SlideDeck5 and an Add-On Access Key.
I deactivated the previous version of SlideDeck 3 that I had on my site and then installed and activated the latest version of the SlideDeck (5) Plugin. All my SlideDecks appeared as hoped for, BUT the slides with HTML content showed up black. I went to edit those slides to see if I could fix the issue and found that I could not edit the details on any of my slides. Is anyone else running into this issue and is there a workaround that you’re using? If no workaround exists, does the Plugin Author know when a new version of the Plugin will be released?
]]>In the documentation it says that when entering a Youtube URL for the video slide, it will automatically pull in metadata including the video thumbnail. Out of the three videos I tested with, it looks like none of the thumbnails are appearing in the slider. I just get a black background. Any ideas about what might be going on? Is there a way to add in my own thumbnail image for the videos?
