Every time I use a single or double quote in an images description, the plug in deletes the images from the slides menu. Is there a way to escape the quote so this doesn’t happen?

Hi, wer are using the plugin with version 1.4.3, WP 6.4.4 and PHP 8.2. If we do like to edit a slider, within “ADD IMAGES” we do have a message about a critical error. We can not edit anything nor are the images shown. The automatic e-mail shows this error-message:
Ein Fehler vom Typ E_COMPILE_ERROR wurde in der Zeile 74 der Datei /var/www/vhosts/***/web01/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/slider-responsive-slideshow/slider-settings.php verursacht. Fehlermeldung: Cannot redeclare is_sr_serialized() (previously declared in /var/www/vhosts/***/web01/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/slider-responsive-slideshow/shortcode.php:11)

I tried PHP 8.1 and 8.0, too, with the same error.

I’m able to build a couple of slides without problems: when I put on a page I see correctly the sliders but both of them have an additional and unwanted empty slide (and relative dot).
How can I remove the additional empty slide?

Is there anyway to switch the navigation to the middle at the bottom instead of the top right on desktop? Very happy with the plugin apart from that.

I’m using storefront them and woocomerce and trying to use Slider Responsive Slideshow – Image slider, Gallery slideshow plug in but, I cant figure out where and how to enter the short code ?? I have a site where over the years I have collected photos fo about 100 skateparks, in folders by park, that I need to display in a slider on thee specific skatepark’s page. My current plugin has worked but hasn’t been touched in 3 years and isn’t working right. Will your plugin creeate a slider from photos in a folder when pointed to he folder?

I’d like to get rid of the dots, each one representing I slide, underneath the slider. I have 28 images in there and it’s not looking nice with that many dots. Also there presence is useless. I noticed that the previous and next slides show in glimts in Internet Explorer. I am sure it is a bug, since it does not happen in other browsers.

BUT: I am not looking to fix this bug. On the contrary I would like Responsive Slider to show the previous and next slides in the margins permanently, so that it creates a flow carousel effect with partial views of the other slides.

Is it possible to display the previous and next slides to the right and left respectively permanently?

We’ve been using your slider for a while and we love it.

Just now decided to try adding links to the images (which works, but the links are defaulting to _blank ie new tab, rather than _top or same tab.)

Is there a way to open the links _top ie in the same tab?

(Sorry if i’m missing something obvious.)

I’ve noticed that on screen sizes of 1199px, the slider shows 4 slides at a time. I never noticed this on the demo but looking at the demo now, I guess it is meant to do this.

With my images though, it just looks odd as they’re not very high.

How can I specify to only display 1 slide at all times regardless of screen size?

The slider setting is set to display 1 slide but clearly on smaller screens, there must be another rule overriding this.

Excuse me, I have installed the Responsive Slider Plugin ver 0.25. But I can’t add any image to Sliders. When I click on the blue button “New Slide”, nothing happened, and I don’t know how can I upload an image to the slider. Can you help me? Thank you very much.

I am unable to get “Add New Slider” to appear in my admin sidebar menu. “All Slider” and “Docs” are all I see. I first saw this problem from the start.

The free Responsive Slider Plugin installed easily using my add plugins menu on WordPress (run on my own hosted website). Plugin version 0.2.2 installed. I am running WordPress 4.5.3 with the latest Sundance theme. I also briefly tried to use Twenty Sixteen.

I am running with administrator privileges. I have assigned my username to Slider Responsive Slideshow “Contributor”. All Roles have been left as default (Unrestricted).

This may mean nothing, but near the bottom of the Restrictions/Slider Responsive Slideshow menu is a listing of “Users / Groups Key:”

“Name:” is listed, rather than my own username or group. These are linked to javascript:void(0). Is there a clue here? I am guessing that I am unable to get myself authorized to add a new slider.

I am eager to try this feature, so I hope you are able to suggest a solution.

I am using the latest version WordPress. The slider version is 2.0. I noticed 2 things, that I would like to get resolved.

1) The slider has added an additional slide during display on the website. So if you go to the homepage it shows 4 slides, but I only setup 3. Could this be a problem in a for-loop or something?

2) I need to change the height and width of the slider. My images are 500×375, but on the website it definitely shows my larger. I checked the box to enable Auto-Sizing, but that did not fix the problem. So if I can I would just like to hardcode in the size I want.

Hello, I am working on https://dev.clmauctions.com and have installed this plugin on the home page. It works great except that between the screen size of 500px and 1200px, the image shrinks down to 69px high and shows 4 images across. This is not what I want and it seems like a bug. Could you please take a look and let me know how to fix this?

I’m experiencing two basic issues with this plug-in:

1. The Aspect Ratio of the pictures I’ve added to my slider is coming out as 1:1 (Square). The images themselves are not square. Could you please explain to me where I can fix this? Or clarify if the slider is best suited for a specific resolution/aspect ratio of images?

2. The images are loading on the page with very poor resolution, even though the original images selected in the slider are high-res. I would appreciate if you can tell me how I can fix this in the settings.

We’re using your slider and really liking it. Great work!

We add important slider descriptions under each image and we have two concerns:

1. The slider descriptions are not copy-n-paste-able. We would love to be able to highlight the text to copy and paste for other purposes. Is this possible now? If not, is it something you could make possible for the next release?

2. Since the slider descriptions pull from the Media Library image descriptions in wordpress, we are concerned that the text is considered meta data rather than page copy by search engines. This is a big concern for us, as the site is a retail operation. Can you address this concern? Is there any way to ensure the image description are actual page copy?

I’ve been trying to resolve this issue: the text below the slider shortcode (after the navigation) appears as though it is a link (color changes upon hover).

I’ve checked all of our HTML in the sliders and posts and can find no broken links.

When I inspect the page, I see the text below the slider navigation is enclosed within link HTML (…). I’m assuming this is coming from within the plugin.

When I remove the slider shortcode, the hover and link HTML disappears and the copy reads as it should – without txt color change.

Can you look into this?
