If you add WhatsApp share, it would be really appreciated !

I was using this plugin in one of my websites for more than a year, but recently I have noticed many occasions of backlinks appearing on the website. After reseaching the problem and checking the code, I found out that this plugin injects advertisment links for the go.affec.tv into my website.
I think that this clearly violates wordpress policy and the developers should give us an honest answer!

I had been long looking for an sharing tool that sits integrated in the images – for a cleaner and less obtrusive look and SlingPic worked out really well.

Awesome plugin, however it voilates wordpress plugin guidelines:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/about/guidelines/
10. The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a “powered by” link) without explicitly asking the user’s permission. Any such options in the plugin must default to NOT show the link.
Hopefully will be fixed in the next version.

Thanks for the great plugin

Works as described and have had no problems so far.
It would be nice if there was a way it would work on images that are presented in “slideshows” and would also be nice if it included Google+, especially since this is an image based plugin. One other thing. Maybe make the icons smaller or give a size option but that’s minor and personal. But…it’s free and appreciated.
I did see a comment by jmilez.
So went digging into the code and found references to affec.tv which is an advertising site. I think that violates wordpress policy, no?
I did not see any reply from the developer. Any word on this?
Thanks for the plugin!

Was having problems getting SlingPic to show on images after changing the post type and couldn’t get the “dontshow” tag to work. So went digging into the code and found references to affec.tv which is an advertising site. I think that violates wordpress policy, no? I’ve decided not to use it because also had issues with their cdn slowing down my site at times. To good to be true… ??

good idea. minimal, compact and customizable.
but it affects the responsiveness of my images so I had to disable it.

I had been looking for a great over-image share button for a while, knowing how important Tumbler and Twitter are for a good media blog, and this seemed like the best when it comes to the design and the options there are to change position and which services are shown, but there are some significant negatives.
The best things about this include the three color options, the selection of services you can show with the button, the assigning of it to images based on size (you’ll need this to prevent it appearing on the small images for themes which show a smaller tease image etc).
But there is one major flaw with this plugin, it doesn’t record any statistics of sharing, and resets the share indicator on page reload. If I share an image on Twitter and Tumblr, it indicates this on the icon and presumably (in theory) is supposed to show others how many times an image has been shared and where, but when you refresh the page that is all reset to zero.
For those interested in knowing where content is being shared (for SEO purposes and so on) it’s quite useless. This should be a core feature of the plugin, but it fails.
I’ll keep using it, because I am seeing an increase in traffic thanks to people sharing content and this is the best plugin for this I have found so far, but I just wish I had an idea of what people were sharing, how many times content had been shared, and where. And I really wish this was shown on the button for others to encourage them to share it too.

Slingpic is a beautiful way to assist your viewers in sharing your content. I love how easy it was to set up. It puts the traditional “Pin it” plugin to shame. I love how it allows you to select a minimum image size so that buttons, ads and calls to action aren’t showing a share button when hovered over. Everything about it is wonderful. The only thing that I wish was available was a pro version to remove the Slingpic logo. Otherwise I’m very pleased.
UPDATE: I had this plugin at 4 stars and am moving it down to 3. It broke the slider for my theme. I realize that this is a problem for my theme specifically so not everyone will have the same problems but obviously its problematic because we can no longer use it ??

This plugin works perfectly. It was simple to configure too. Very well-thought out process for the user. No conflicts with other plugins (I always use too many!).
I love getting the back links, and my blog is running fast.
Very happy!

Simple, clean , works good. You can even specify smaller images to not have the share hover option.
Only missing instagram share. Everything else is there!

Exactly what I was always looking for. Image sharing over a large number of networks has never been easier! Support is very responsive too. Easy to make this one of my favorite plugins available for wordpress.

Slingpic has been built to integrate seamlessly into your blog. It is unobtrusive and gives your users a simple and easy way to share your images, this provides you with more coverage to your blog. Importantly if you find your users are sharing your images by simply copying and pasting the image elsewhere, you are not definitely getting the credit for your original content. However Slingpic always provides a link back to your blog, plus added information taken from the relevant text around the image.
