I made a beautiful form for donation to a not-for-profit and it disappeared! It literally VANISHED! I bought the plugin through THEIR website and was given no way to enter a license number. I am really furious since it took me a lot of time to construct the perfect form AND NOW IT IS GONE!

The pluggin works great, although it does have some features disabled in the free version, for a basic donation button its great. My only disapointment is the widget doesn;t sem to follow the same colours as my theme, my theme shows a black background for the widgets, but the donation widget has a transparent background… Following the theme settings would be a nice addition an make this DOnations pluggin much better.

I’m using the paid version of the plugin, and, given all the features it provides, it’s definitely worth the price. It’s hard to find a donations plugin that will offer so much — especially handling recurring automated donations — for such an affordable price.
Best of all, the plugin author provides excellent, thoughtful, and rapid support. That can make all the difference in the world, in my book.

If you want to add Paypal forms to your site, this plugin can work, but you can’t style the forms at all. They are filled with inline styles that can’t be over-ridden.

However I have the following comments.
IN THE PAY WITH CREDIT CARD FORM
1. If I put Country = Canada for example the state does not change to the provinces names
2. Where would I put the Merchant ID / email linked to the paypal account that the money goes through
3. Where in the setting is the association of the account (bank of paypal) that receives the money?

I had issues with getting the plugin to work. (Mostly on my side) The developer was very available, and willing to help. He did not stop until the plugin was working! This plugin is all about choices. What kind of Donate Button? What kind of progress indicator? Color, style, placement; it offers so many ways to make these important elements stand out and get your readers’ attention.
It sends an Thank You email to donators, and lets you link to a Thank You page and creates a graph of progress. I found it easy to set up and adjust. The progress indicator updates in real time.
Some of the features are only available on a pay basis, but you’ll be making that up right away if you decide to upgrade. I’m so glad I did!
It’s not easy keeping a website going. If your viewers love your content they will want to support your work. This plugin offers to many ways to help them do that.

Smart Donations is really the right name fpr this plugin. Cause the interface is very smart. Nothing complicated. You are in business in just a few minutes. Look and feel ist easy to edit and features like the progress status of a donation campaign are very useful. Great plugin, and a quick support is also included ??
