I need the widget to have the ability to display each POST(This is accomplished). Then I need the ability for each POST, when it is shown in a sidebar, to be able to be identified as a CTA pointing to a specific page/URL.

In other words, the small image is displayed with some content and when clicked ON it is redirected to a specific page or URL.

Hi, After a recent update the html input in my widget customisation is presenting as text on the published page. Is there an obvious explanation? It’s on the homepage of the attached website for your ref.

Is there any way I can filter the posts shown by date, so I could, for example, only show posts from the last 1, 6 or 12 months?

I’d also be fine with just going for a specific date. Example: Only show posts created after August 1st, 2023.

I have been using the widget plugin successfully for several months now. It is simply configured to show the last 5 published pages in a specific category. Two weeks ago, the widget started to ignore the latest published page in that category. Settings on pages are identical to those that had worked before. The order is simple, by date, title only. Any ideas?

Whatever I choose as thumbnail and with or without CSS width and height, it seems that image are always loaded as full resolution.

A user had the same issue, it is marked as resolved but there is no solution.

I would like to report a few issues regarding your great plugin:

1. The widget HTML field won’t accept [ShortCode] like the HTML field of native HTML widgit does.

2. The “Read More” text should be marked as active, just when the “Display Excerpt” is checked as well.

3. The “Use Relative Date.” text should be marked as active, just when the “Display Modification Date” is checked as well.

4. The thumbnails pictures are empty when using your plugin to show pictures that do shown on pages using Affiliate Egg plugin (uses (ShortCode to be displayed on pages). These picture does shown in other cases like Ajax Live Search results.

5. The “Modern” style is totaly broken (at least by using Hebrew WP interface).

How do I get access to the “lots of options”?

The plugin sounds fantastic but I have no idea of how to use it so I would appreciate any guidance on how to get started.

The current implementation of the plugin uses the post title as the alt text for any of the featured images. But I think this may lead to a less-than-ideal user experience for screen-reader users. If I use the featured image and the post title, a screen reader would repeat the post title twice. If I provide a good alt text for an image, I’d like this plugin to use it.

How can I disabled _blank “Open link in new tab” feature. I try to find out if there a feature to disabled target (_blank) on links.

I am using the plugin on the Hello Elementor theme which means I don’t get access to the widget form in Appearance -> Widget rather in the Elementor page builder platform.

I’m using Classic Widgets and after update Smart Recent Posts Widget to 1.0.2 I can see too long list of categories (more than 40) and long list of tags (more than 100).

This is very inconvenient, especially when you need several such widgets, and there are hundreds of tags.

In the MODERN STYLE, thumbnail is too dark for me.
There is a possibility that the dark layer will not appear but only the original image and the post title, or the dark layer be less dark (opac)? Or that the dark layer does not cover the whole image but only the title?

What I am looking for, is to extend the default WordPress “Recent Post Widget“. All I really want to add is ability to filter which particular Category I want.

Now, your plugin is too advanced for what I want, and I already have 36 plugins on my website, of which I don’t want to add more.

So I seem to be making a kind of tough request from you–- Can you help me send me the raw code of this your plugin, which I can add in functions.php and still be able to get the correct function of your plugin?
