Hi, I have a problem with swatches to put a color to a created attribute, I can create new colors, but I can’t edit the existing colors to change the color that is selected. Regarding this, I have another question, when I activate swatches it changes internally something? like it can break my site if I don’t configure sizes or something like that, or I can use everything normally, I mean I can use swatches for colors and leave the sizes as I was using them until now?

For color you can use a user that i can provide, where i can sent to you? it happens in backend of woocommerce

Hi there

I have an issue where when I create a new product, select the variation terms (colour and size) it will display the swatches correctly. I will have to create my products through a drop shipping provider and then export them to WooCommerce – inkthreadable. The problem is it is creating the product with it’s own attributes and variations so basically the product is ready and live on export. The name of the attributes and terms are the same as the ones as I have set in Woocommerce settings, yet they appear on product page as drop downs rather than swatches. Any way for the SVI plugin to make a connection that the variants are called the same and treat them as created through WordPress?

hello! i have a question concerning the pro version of the plugin. I sell custom caricatures and I would like to customise the product variants. I would need these options:

1) variant selection with image and variant name (not in the product image but just in the selection)
2) drop-down menu with the different variants
3) photo and image upload
4) message the customer can leave
5) possibility to write the additional price of each variant (e.g. write +$5 next to the variant, both in the drop-down menu and in the multiple selection)
6) calculation of the cost of the product as the customer selects the variants.

I leave links to two websites that allow these options. I could use something very similar.

Hi there,

I’m currently testing the free version and I plan to go premium once my shop is up, running and generating income. I will be scaling up and some of the features in the premium section are a must.

My problem at the moment is that the zoom in feature works great on desktop but I can zoom in on mobile. Taping the image or pinching doesn’t do anything. Could you help me out? I don’t want to launch it in this state.

Product images not loading, if using CDN

We have an odd problem on a site that uses your plugin.

The site uses a CDN for images, as they sell a lot abroad. They are UK based.
On the live site with your plugin enabled, the Product main image and its gallery, will not load. You just get a black box.

With the plugin off, they load.

This us using the DIVI theme. They have taken me around in circles, tlaking about Cloudflare (which does not cache the site) and other things. But bottom line, with your plugin disabled, it works. With it enable, it doesn’t.

Can you help? Not sure how i can give you the URL without revealing too much tho.

Hi There,

We have alof of images for each colour of product. Can you make the products show up in a gallery instead of just going down the page?

Is there also a way to only select the colour and not have to select the size as well for the images to change. We feel like users may not select the size as well as the colour especially on mobile.

Hi,

I’m using the smart variations images plugin on my woocommerce store and I love it so far ! When filling alt attributes on my images today, I just noticed that alt attributes are not showing at all on the product page images.

For example, if you go on the catalog page (https://www.hamacards.com/?s=Booster+Lego+Star+Wars+%28S%C3%A9rie+2%29&post_type=product) and inspect the image, you’ll see the alt attribute. If you now go on the product page (https://www.hamacards.com/produit/booster-lego-star-wars-serie-2/), the alt attribute is not showing anymore .

I’ve looked through all the plugin’s code and I wasn’t able to find a fix to this… Could you please help me with it ?

I’m having a problem with the slider. As soon as I activate it and click on images, it looks like I’ve been on another page, and when I click on lots of images and want to go back, I have to click back lots of times. Of course, when I deactivate the slider, everything works correctly.

I have been trying to understand why the single product page in my client’s store loads very slowly. I looked in the source code of the page and I see that the images, which are supposed to be thumbnails, are loaded at full size 1500x1500px and are just shrunk in CSS. This is a very bad practice, can I ask for a plugin update so that the thumbnails are actually thumbnails?

I hope this message finds you well. Firstly, I want to express my gratitude for the fantastic plugin you’ve provided, which has greatly enhanced the user experience on our e-commerce website.

Recently, I attempted to add a new product with similar functionality by duplicating an existing one that worked seamlessly with your plugin. However, this time, I encountered an issue. Each time I modify the images, product name, and other details, and then publish the page, the plugin seems to forget everything and removes all the previously uploaded images, or sometimes half of them. It appears as though the plugin is unable to save the new changes. I’ve tried using various image formats, but the problem persists. I’m unsure of the source of this issue.

It’s important to note that your plugin continues to work flawlessly for several products that were uploaded a month or more ago. However, it’s not functioning as expected for the new product.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Your help would be immensely valuable.

Used standard WP Product Export from the product page. Exported all. Export.

Edited variation prices only. Didn’t touch anything else in the CSV file.

Import CSV file.

Ticked update existing products. All slugs remain in tact in CSV file, and confirmed ��Meta: woosvi_slug�� was imported as meta data.

After import SVI images broke. No more per variation of product page. Can’t even edit in admin-products anymore. Going to SVI gallery in product edit just comes up with error screen:

Sometimes when reloading the page, the video is cropped and it wont go to its proper dimensions even after hitting play. It gets solved by having to reload the page. though reloading the page can break it also.

Astra is the theme just in case thats helpful

Hi David!

I’m currently building a theme where I’m using Tailwind CSS for a site where I’m hoping to use this plugin. The trouble is that the plugin adds a css file (wcsvfs-public.min.css) that has a .hidden selector, which is the same selector that Tailwind uses to hide an element. The difference is that the one from the plugin adds !important after the display: none. This causes the layout to break in several places.

I may be the only person who has this issue, but is there any chance that you could rename that class to something else?

I could just change it locally of course but I want to be able to update the plugin in the future.

Hi David,

I saw that it is theoretically possible to target other images than the first image in the SVI gallery relating to that attribute. I was wondering: Would it be possible to display the attribute image on the archive page as swatch, but load the corresponding variation image?

E.g. I have a bracelet with different closures. Instead of showing the variation image (i.e. a bracelet with a black closure) as swatch on the archive page, I’d like to just display an image of the black closure as swatch (which is the attribute image). When hovering on it, I get the bracelet with the black closure as preview.

Is there a way to achieve this through the “Specify Product Wrapper Image” option?

Hi there,

I was wondering if the slider option works with the variations gallery? So far it looks like it only displays all the available product photos instead of showing the corresponding galleries? Switching an attribute only lets me jump to the first image.

SVI is up to date, we are using the newest version of Elementor and we’re using the Elementor standard theme (Hello Elementor) without any changes to it.

Can you provide us with some insight/help there?

Hello,

We are trying to implement SVI on a website, and after setting up according to the instructions everything works perfect – but only when entering the website with the WP admin logged in.
From any other computer, all product show no images (for default & variations) and when trying to add to cart the website claims no variation is selected.

Our website is built using using Divi; The product page is a custom design using the standard Divi Woocommerce modules.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide – we really like the results with the plugin as we see them through the admin and it would be a shame to give it up.

Hi David,

Congratulations for your great plugin!

There's only one little thing I'd like to change about it to make it perfect for me.

If you look at the provided link, when I select "Custom kit" in variations, the two images attached to this variation appear in thumbnails: this is perfect.

But when I select "STD kit" or "Reprint", there's only one image attached. Therefore, the unique thumbnail is useless and I would like to hide it.

Is there a way to do it easily?
