Which widget do I have to use to have icons or buttons displayed in a row one below the other? Do I need the premium version to do so?
Hi, I’m using the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and have implemented two Post Carousel widgets, one on the homepage and another one on the widget. The carousel displays perfectly on desktop, but on mobile devices, it scrolls too fast, even after adjusting the settings in the widget options. I’ve tried CSS modifications, but the speed remains unchanged. Is there a way to control or slow down the scroll speed specifically for mobile? Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you!
Sergio
After upgrading to 1.61.1, the Post Loop block does display in the dashboard.
After clicking on the Attempt Block Recovery button, content displays properly in the dashboard.
Content does display properly on the public facing pages.

When you activate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin, the customizer theme simply does not load and the page gets stuck trying to load the customizer. Any ideas to solve this? Thanks in advance.

I have a problem with SiteOrigin Button widget that manifests in at least two ways.
A. When I clone my site, everything else works fine except the placement of the navigation buttons I’ve created to my (official) site, for example https://www.lauriastala.com/videos/transit-scv/. In this image you can see how the navigation buttons on both sides should look like: https://snipboard.io/jr7MQ9.jpg
and in the other you can see how the buttons are drawn wrong on the cloned (test) site, for example https://www.lauriastala.com/652/videos/transit-scv/ (passwd: YexHO)O): https://snipboard.io/PBMG7U.jpg
The buttons are drawn wrong also if I copy the buttons to a new page on my official site, on which all the old pages work fine.
B. When I try to remake the buttons in another (new) manner (logged in to wordpress and building a new page), the buttons are drawn differently when in preview mode inside wordpress: https://snipboard.io/VXzT2K.jpg
and when looking at the pages normally on a web browser (image 2b.jpg): https://snipboard.io/4QRbDJ.jpg
You can see it on my test page https://www.lauriastala.com/652/test-page/ (passwd: YexHO)O).
This problem has occurred a while, unfortunately I cannot remember in connection to which update (WP or plugins). In addition to SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, I also use Page Builder by SiteOrigin and SiteOrigin CSS, among other plugins. I’m using a Mac computer with Firefox and Safari browsers.
What is wrong? Please help.
Thanks in advance!
Hello. Update 1.58.11 causes a fatal php error. The web page stops displaying. The error gives this warning in Query Monitor: Argument #2 ($string) must be of type string, array given: The error lies in the second argument ($string) passed to the explode() function. It’s expecting a string, but it’s receiving an array instead.
Location of the Error: The error occurs on line 36 of the file post-selector.php within the so-widgets-bundle plugin.
Is there any way to solve this?
Thanks in advance.
Hello SiteOrigin team,
we just noticed a problem with version 1.58.8 and 1.58.9. If we use a SiteOrigin Editor widget and insert a custom HTML tag into it…
<wsroot></wsroot>
…this content isn’t output in the frontend website anymore if you are not logged in. If you are logged in as admin, this HTML code is output as it always has been.
We see this in a current WP/PHP 8.1 with the theme Adrenaline PT from Proteus Themes. In other WPs with SiteOrigin we don’t see this. So it might be that you won’t be able to reproduce this instantly because it may have got something to do with the theme.
Of course we tried switching off all other plugins to find another third party culprit for this problem, but this didn’t help.
If we downgrade SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle to 1.58.7 the <wsroot></wsroot> gets output to frontend no matter if you are logged in or not. But from 1.58.8 on this doesn’t work anymore. As soon as we update to >=1.58.8, the output is gone for not logged in users.
We then tried another widget (“Block”/ not SiteOrigin). With this the problem doesn’t happen, the HTML gets output with this widget, no matter which version of SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is installed beside it and no matter if the visitor is logged in or not.
So something must have changed from 1.58.8 on that prevents this custom HTML tag get output for not logged in users.
PS: The problem happens only for custom HTML tags, not for standard tags like – let’s say –

output.
Greetings and thanks for your work,
-doffine

Hi!
In latest version 1.58.0 of plugin there seems to be a bug in base/js/admin.js where it throws a JS error when trying to open up a repeater field that has no label set – Uncaught TypeError: Cannot use ‘in’ operator to search for ‘table’ in undefined
It’s these lines:
// Setup Repeater Table Header if necessary.
const itemLabel = $el.data( ‘item-label’ );
if ( ‘table’ in itemLabel ) {
if data-item-label is missing (which it may as php part is even checking if labels are set and don’t output if it’s missing) then it tries to find ‘table’ in undefined which it can’t and throws an error.
Probably an additional check is needed.
For now a rollback to previous version remedied the situation.
Didn’t really do deep dig but even setting the label on repeater itself didn’t help as it wasn’t being output but it may be some mistake of mine, didn’t really investigate for now.

Hi!
I just noticed that I have problems with CLS score. Google Search Console and page speed insights show me, that the score is ‘poor’. When I test the website with Google Chrome Addon ‘CLS Visualizer’, I can see, that the page builder rows must be causing this issue. I checked it back on some other websites and it’s the same everywhere I use Site Origin Page Builder. This might cause some problem with Google ranking, the search console told me.
Maybe you can help me.
Hello, I intended to change the header fonts for a client’s site, when I realized the font dropdown was broken and not letting me select fonts. I used a testing site to check all the plugins and the theme. I used a rollback plugin and found that the Widgets Bundle plugin from 1.55.0 and later causes this conflict with my Customify theme. It doesn’t appear to break the fonts on the site, just the ability to select the font from a dropdown under Customize -> Typography. Do you know of a conflict between Customify and this plugin?
Thank you

I only noticed this now cause I urgently needed to open Appearance > Widgets to edit a widget and it’s broken, So I cannot do it cause If I disable this plugin I can open Widgets.php but that widget is not there cause it’s a Siteorigin widget.
Please help. How can I troubleshoot this further?
