I’m looking to for a plugin like this, but I want to allow my users of my site to upload their own photos and videos ( including their own videos from their devices) and allow for commenting and liking, etc. can this do that? Seems it’s only geared to only allowing the site own add media. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve been looking around forever for something to do what I need.

Hi,
I’m developing a site with your social-gallery-light plugin, it’s a really nice plugin, except that I ran in a problem with infinite scroll.
All the posts that are being added after the initial page load won’t get the social gallery and will link to the image itself.
I’ve noted that when reloading js/socialGalleryPluginLite.js will partly solve this issue. Except that it creates another #sgPluginBg, #sgPluginBox etc.
To fix this, I’ve changed the js file, so it looks if #sgPluginBg is already set, if so, it won’t append #sgPluginBg and #sgPluginBox etc.
Maybe there is a more elegant fix for this, but it would be cool to intergrate it, so it will be possible to update te plugin.

Thanks for this lite version. I have several issues:
1.
I have this problem. I selected “Page Images” as social gallery mode, but all may image links open in social gallery popup. i.e. post thumbnails in “related post” section, my logo pointing to my homepage is also opening in a popup.
I just want the pictures to open in social gallery popup, but not my post/pages thumbnails.
2. When I modify the “social gallery mode”, al my other settings dissapear, my fb app id, my fb id, etc, I have to type all again.
3. I write a blog, I have a personal FB id and my FB blog page ID, which one should I use in the plugin?
4. My theme has a lightbox, then the iamges are opening twice, when I close the social gallery popup, i have to close the 2nd image too.

All WP galleries became distorted, no gridview, no thumbnails, all my website basically destroyed, images are all over the posts, by one or two o simply separated by enormous gaps…
Deactivated the plugin and all WP galleries in posts cameback to normal view.
Please explain why it is so and if this cannot be resolved I want a refund.

My website SG comments are behaving ghost! most of the case comments get disappear after one or 2 days.
I am using Cloudflare.
is there any issue with cloud flare? like, when the comments were made the link got changed afterwards. Comments don’t show up in the photo. click on Facebook doesn’t take back to the photo that the comment was made, instead shows a 404 err.

Thank you for sharing this nice plugin. Before evaluating it, I wanted to solve this problem:
I am having an issue with facebook share button. It isn’t to be seen anywhere in the lightbox, and I was pretty sure it was one of the elements included in the Lite version.
I’m using thumbnails gallery with NextGen gallery, it shouldn’t have compatibility issues… I ticked the “Show Image Browser” in the options but this doesn’t create an image link automatically. Could it the reason the share button doesn’t work? But so why does the Like button work perfectly?

I’m attempting to set it up but whenever you click on an image it briefly opens the lightbox window, attempts to load the image, then just closes. I’ve tested it on some of the default themes to rule out theme issues but it still seems to do that.

]]>I have created a Facebook App, and connected it to Social Gallery Lite. When I comment and check “post to Facebook”, it posts perfectly fine to my Facebook profile. It posts with a thumb of the photo and a link to the photo.
The thumb is linked to the photo perfectly, but the link doesn’t link to the photo. The link text is the correct image url, but the link is linking to a url that seems to be pointing to a Facebook app url, but the ID isn’t my Facebook app ID. When the link is clicked, it goes to a Facebook error page and not my photo.
Please let me know how to correct this.

I’ve set it up using the css selector. Have published a gallery of images.
When I click on an image the social gallery lightbox appears for a second before the page redirects to the image URL.
Couldn’t find any info elsewhere as to what could cause this…

1) In the Pro version, is it possible to control what social media icons to show on the large photo pop-up? What if I don’t want g+1? Can that ve removed?
2) One the large photo pop-up, on the top left side of the content, there is a ‘SG’ logo, where is that logo coming from? from Faceook or the plugin? Can that be changed to my website logo?
3) At the bottom right corner, there is a ‘Social Gallery Plugin’ credit. Can the credit be removed?
4) How does the photo tagging work? Does the plug-in handle the photo tagging?
I need to move forward with the project ASAP, so your quick response to my questions would be highly appreciated.

I installed this plugin full of expectations, hoping to order full version. What I noticed however is that when people click “like” they actually like the jpg file. In the facebook stream it appears that they like the jpg file and when somebody click on the notification they go to the jpg file and there is no way to go from the jpg file to the blog post.
Did I do something wrong? Thanks for any help and of course thanks for the great plugin!
]]>I want to see who likes or comments on the images. I tied in the facebook code, but my followers see pictures I like – I don’t see their likes in either facebook or wordpress. And I don’t see my own likes on my facebook page.
So I can see “you and 3 others like this” but I don’t know who the 3 others are.
I’m using this to find out which photos my daughter likes, but now everyone who follows me (and her?) on facebook can click the link, so I can’t track if she’s liking or someone else is.

I love the plugin, it gives me exactly what I need except for one thing. I am using NextGen gallery with pagination, and the Social Lite plugin works great on the first page of images. On all other images though, the lightbox does not open when you click on a thumbnail. Instead, the image opens in a new page on its own. Clicking back on the browser then returns me to the first page of images. Help!?

If I click on any image shown on NextGen Widget in sidebar, and move left or right beyond the first and last image in selection, it enters in an infinitive loop.
