Please consider updating to simplepie 1.3.1 (latest version as of now) or fixing all those notices. Here’s a file I fixed as a workaround, by removing &s and adding “static” keywords: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7JEImS_HANHRjl1SGV1WWlUVFE/edit?usp=sharing

]]>Hi
I am using v1.1.1
I am working on a local development site and up to last night the twitter was working fine on your plugin but now it has stopped.
I’ve done a bit of digging and apparently twitter updated their API from 1.0 to 1.1 at roughly the same time I realised the twitter feed had stopped. Not sure if this is the problem or coincidence?
Thanks

Any help would be appreciated!

I was wondering if someone wanted to help me out by giving me some tips of how to make this plugin horizontal? Like 4-5 of the feeds on a row.
The page I want this on is this: https://lierdagene.info, i’s not finished, but I hope you see why I want it horizontal

]]>Hi
I want to use Social Media Mashup in my sidebar but think the theme we are using is overwriting the styling making the text too large for the sidebar and taking out any other styling. I’ve tried overwriting in the plug-in’s CSS file but it’s being over-ridden somewhere. I’m not an expert so please keep things simple, I’m guessing I need more code in my one of my theme files but need to know exactly what file and where to place code within the file!
We did look into placing the plug-in on the main part of the page but it caused the sliders to stop working.
By the way, I looked at a lot of social media plug-ins before settling on this one – it looks really great if only I can get the styling sorted!
The site I’m currently testing it in is https://www.familyresourcecentreuk.org.uk

If you are still considering or are using this plug-in for facebook, then you still can get the proper facebook id to work! I googled this issue for a little bit and found out that you may use the facebook page url to get the proper numeric id for the feed. This website tool can be accessed at:

]]>Hi,
I am using the latest versions of WP, SMM and EventsManager.
If the SMM widget is used in conjunction with the EventsManager plugin there seems to be a conflict.
If the EM plugin is used it adds a /events page to your site, if this page also has the SMM widget on this page then the events are actually listed inside the SMM widget.
See the following test site to see an example: https://testclub25.teamthing.com/events/
Many thanks,

]]>I am using Social Media Mashup as a widget, mostly displaying FB posts. This seems to conflict with some other plugins: Similar Posts and Linkwithin (lists similar posts at the end of a post), Jetpack Sharing (adds social media share buttons at end of posts) – those are the ones I am using, but this could be an issue with other plugins.
Anyway, Social Media Mashup was displaying this additional information when I only needed it to display the Facebook post text and image. Commenting out line 143 of social-media-mashup.php seems to do the trick
142. // Make this entry consistent with the site’s text formatting
143. /* $final = apply_filters( ‘the_content’, $final ); */
Text formatting was still consistent with the site after this change, so it seems that this line doesn’t have anything to do with text formatting.

]]>An odd thing happens when using Buddypress Achievement plugin with Social Media Mashup.
I have Media Mashup in my sidebar widget. It shows all twitter/facebook posts just fine but when I got to the achievements page and change the badge picture of any achievement, media mashup suddenly shows the same badge picture for all posts it displays.
The thing is, Media Mashup isn’t supposed to be showing any badge pictures at all, let alone display it for every post it is displaying.
It should be noted that when browsing the achievements or even looking at the achievement’s description page, Media Mashup behaves normally. It is only when I opt to change the achievement picture that this happens.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

]]>Hello all,
I had some theme issues with this plug-in however, I was able to find a solution and wanted to share it. With the current release of Atahualpa theme 3.7.1 you may insert Social media mashup in the sidebar, but some URL’s from your updates will break out of the sidebar and go over your background or your page. All you need to do to fix this visual problem is to go into your Social Media Mashup CSS file titled “social-media-mashup/style.css” and then insert this CSS code:
.smm-item {
word-wrap: break-word;
}

I would like to request the ability to display more than five items in the list. For me a max of say 25 items would be great, but it may be more beneficial to simply allow an end user to display a specified number of days.
For instance I can choose to display one days worth, seven days worth or even more if I want.
Thanks again for a great plugin.
