Best thing is you get the access to all include files and you can get rid of FTP to create and delete theme pages. Super

I didn’t even know theme editors were out there until I needed one. Tried a few different ones, but this was the nicest interface and allowed me to make changes WAY faster than using FTP. Love it.

In theory, this plugin seems like a good idea. In practice, not so much.

I have a premium theme on a site and gave access to that theme’s support team to help resolve a minor issue. They installed this plugin and ‘added’ code to my functions.php. When they did this, they deleted my entire custom (child-theme) functions.php and replaced it with their 3 lines of code to aid me with the issue. Glad to have the theme’s help and code, but it nuked my functions.php.

Then the theme “help” said the functions.php was blank and they didn’t delete anything. I’m sure they thought that’s what happened because this plugin overwrites (does not edit) the functions.php. In reality, they deleted 2 months of work because of this plugin that they installed.

I do not recommend this plugin if you have a custom functions.php that you would like to keep. I also do not recommend giving a premium theme support team access to install plugins.

I installed this plugin to edit some child themes. However, when I updated a theme and viewed it on the site my styles went away.

This was because saving changes to my child theme overwrote the parent theme’s files.

This was fixed by deleting and reuploading the parent theme.

Uninstalled plugin. Don’t need any more heart attacks.

Please add a warning.
