I have used this superb plug-in om several sites with great result. But on my new site I just get an “Error undefined” when I run the test. I have tried all settings and even deactivated and reactivated the plug-in.
I’m not a programmer so I have limited possibilities to change the code. A little change in the PHP files can I do using Notepad++, but not much.
Can someone please help me figure out what’s wrong?
]]>In a nutshell, just writing to say that after years of using this plugin, somehow it’s causing a break with Divi’s front-end builder. When SSL Insecure Content Fixer is active, the builder breaks and shows just a white screen.
Since this plugin hasn’t updated in a while, and the problem only occurred recently, I suspect that it’s a DIVI theme update that’s caused the conflict, not the other way around.
Hi, I would like to get myself educated before install the plugin.
Will it make any changes to my .htaccess file?
I have some videos files hosted on Google Cloud Storage which doesn’t provide SSL by default (when you use a custom domain). When I reference these videos, I still use HTTPS in HTML so most likely it falls within the Mixed Content Warning category.
To be more specific,
my website: domain.com
video URL example: media.domain.com/video.mp4
So will the plugin work in this scenario? Many thanks!
First of all, thank you for your great effort. Great plug-in.
I am using QUIC.cloud which option is great for me?
System says:
standard WordPress function
* detected as recommended setting
Is SSL Insecure Content Fixer compatible with mysql 8.0 and php 8+
]]>I have configured a WordPress site with a CloudFront CDN. So far, when loading the website, it is not properly loading (formatting is off). When I checked the website in debug mode on Chrome, I saw that it was still loading mixed content.
I have installed this plugin and enabled at the “Simple” level and HTTPS detection is set to “HTTP_CLOUDFRONT_FORWARDED_PROTO”. The website attributes have been set to HTTPS in WordPress. I am running this on a multisite configuration and I was able to check on the root that it is installed and configured correctly.
Any thoughts?
]]>Hello,
I am trying to uninstall this plugin but when I do it crashes the entire website. Can you please advise on what I should do to remove it safely. I have the following enabled:
Fix insecure content = Content.
Fixes for specific plugins and themes = WooCommerce + Google Chrome HTTP_HTTPS bug (fixed in WooCommerce v2.3.13).
Ignore external sites = no enabled.
HTTPS detection = uable to detect HTTPS.
I did not originally implement this plugin so when I go to change HTTPS Detection to HTTP_X_FORWARDED_PROTO or even standard WordPress function, it also crashes the site.
I would appreciate any help you can give!
]]>Hello!
I have recently found a bug that I thought was elsewhere but deactivating SSL Insecure Content Fixer was the actual fix.
Build Stack: Beaver Builder + Ultimate Addons for Beaver Builder (UABB)
I thought UABB was causing the issue as I couldn’t edit Beaver Builder modules with it activated, but only on some of my sites. I then did the tedious task of deactivating individual plugins and to my surprise it was SSL Insecure Content Fixer that was disallowing me to access the editing tools for individual Modules within Beaver Builder or UABB. As of now I’m deactivating it on all of my current sites if there are editing issues and removing it from my Cloneable environment until it has been addressed.
I’ve been a solid user of this plugin for years and this is the first issue I’ve ever had. But if it’s active and Beaver Builder + UABB are active I can’t edit the website visually with Beaver Builder. That’s a no go as it is my primary web building tool as I no longer code the themes from scratch.
I hope you guys have a fix in the works or will have one soon. It’s always been a reliable plugin and I’ve never had incompatibility with it before.
Thanks!

Hello
When i activate your plugin and test the header here : https://securityheaders.com/
my note is F while it is A without your plugin. Is it normal ? If not, how to fix it ? thanks
Been working on this most of the day and cannot seem to figure this out.
We have an SSL.
Everything is working fine as far as all the pages and stuff.
All are https.
I am trying to set up a link to a PDF file that I uploaded to WP.
Set it up so that you can click on the words and it will bring up the PDF file in a new window.
The main page is the Members page. It is secure and no issues with security. Scroll down and find the Link to the “WRCB 2022 Revised Schedule Version 1/7/2022”
When you hit this, It pulls up the PDF File that I uploaded to the media section in a new tab.
When you look at the lock in the address bar (I use firefox) It is giving me the Lock with the triangle designation with it.
Click on that and I get the Connection not secure.
I have others check it with Chrome and it wont even open the file for them.
What do I have to do to fix this issue with this document so it is secure. I am going to have many more similar documents on this site and need to know what to do to keep this from happening to them too.
Thanks
Bob

]]>Hi guys,
I insecure content fixer, but I am afraid of breaking my website, as I tried all the options provided and didn’t work, except the one that can break the site. So I decided not to try it.
Is there anybody that tells me how to fix this issue on my website manually? Thanks!
]]>I changed “http_x_forwarded_proto” (recommended) to “normal” and looks like a lot of stuff is now broken… I accessed via sftp to make changes in the code to switch back from one to another, as now i cant enter in the admin dashboard on the web, but i cant find where i should replace this code. Can anyone help me? Appreciate it a lot, thank you!!
]]>Hello,
I downloaded & installed the plugin. Initially, I tried having it set at ‘Simple’, then changed to ‘Capture All’ and I am still getting mixed content issues.
When I go to whynopadlock.com it shows me that the issue is the media files and 1 custom font that was imported. I’m not quite sure how that is, as the staging site I cloned onto this domain was built with an SSL certificate installed so all media assets & scripts would have been uploaded & imported using https protocol.
Regardless, if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is there any chance of getting this covered off in the plugin please
Cheers

I’ve found the issues happening on my pages don’t have issues when connecting directly to the server, rather than through a load balancer with headers.
The script from “https://www.bcri.org/?ver=bb7c3c45d012206bfcd73d6a31f84d9e” was loaded even though its MIME type (“text/html”) is not a valid JavaScript MIME type.
The script from “https://www.bcri.org/?ver=7.4.12” was loaded even though its MIME type (“text/html”) is not a valid JavaScript MIME type.
Is the issue too much content to fix? I’ve confirmed the issue exists with all plugins disabled (other than SSL Insecure) and using a default theme. Runs fast, but stylesheet issues persist.

]]>Hello.
I recently installed two plugins, WP force SSL, and SSL Insecure Content Fixer.
They work great only that when I edit or create posts, I still have mixed content. this is occurring in the post editor, all other pages are OK.
I even hardened settings to Capture all and still didn’t help.
Thank you in advance.
The SSL is active for this site, and it’s showing up as HTTPS, but Google still shows a “not secure” message before the URL. Any way to figure out what’s still triggering the “not secure” in Google browser?

I updated my site with SSL and the majority of my pages show as secure across the board with different web browsers. Chrome specifically notes that https://mobility-iq.com/iq-online/ is not secure, while internet explorer and brave show that this page is secure. Addtionally each video in our video gallary such as: https://mobility-iq.com/portfolio-item/groovy-baby-eccentric-neural-grooving/ also shows as not secure across all web browsers.
I have installed the plugin but dont want to keep tinkering with settings as I am not sure what the other settings in this plugin would do to the site.
Any help is EXTREMELY appreciated!!!

Hi there,
Using your great plugin SSL Insecure Content Fixer but on one of my sites it conflicts with Beaver Builder.
The only way to allow BB to load and edit the site is if we Deactivate SSL Insecure Content Fixer, make the changes and then re-activate.
Any ideas on what it might be?
Many thanks,
Dan
