The function get_upgrade_url() in staff-directory-plugin.settings.page.class.php has this line:
$file_data = get_file_data('/some/real/path/to/your/plugin', array('Version'), 'plugin');
The fake path in the function call causes three warnings from PHP. The $file_data variable is not used, so please remove the line so that the warnings go away.
I’m confused. We’re seeing 2 sections in WP dashboard. One with staff members, and the other called staff list. We input all our data (hundreds of employees) under the members area. However, do we have to input them into the list area in order to display them all on one page? Thank you.

Since updating the plugin today I’ve been unable to access the overview page for the free version of the plugin. This is the page which displays all the individual staff member posts. When I click on it the URL (https://<mywebsiteURL>/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=staff-member) I get a 504 gateway timeout.
It’s only this page that’s having this error. The add new staff member and staff categories can both still be accessed and the content is still displaying on the front end. However I’m unable to effectively manage the content in the CMS. I had to use PHPMyadmin to publish a draft page today which isn’t the best way to manage this.
I’ve tried a clean install of the plugin and deactivating everything else to check for conflicts and it’s still experiencing this problem.
Is this a slug issue? I’m at a loss as to how to fix this and I don’t want to have to uninstall as it’s been a really great plugin.

At first glance I’d hoped to use this to link to a twitter profile as I assumed it was simply a HTML field. However the URL of our website seems to be hardcoded to display in front of anything you input here. Is there a way to allow this field to display any website link?

sometimes we need multiple phones or email for one people, so hacking the staff-list.php might be the way to go (improve and include into the plugin ??
copy templates/staff-list.php to your theme directory
i use a dash to separate phone numbers, so replace
<?php echo $my_phone ?>
with
<?php echo str_replace("-","<br />",$my_phone) ?>
and add css styles to display numbers in column.
For email you’ll have to split $my_email value according to space separating emails in your field.
first we test for space in email value, if there is we split to an array then loop over and echo values and links.

]]>I’ve having some trouble with the short-codes. When trying to insert into a page, I can use the staff_list shortcode without issue… but when I try to add any attributes to it (including from your button) it doesn’t render anything.

There is a minor issue we are having. When listing a long list of employees, the Staff List will randomly (seems random) indent employees. Please see refer to screenshot:
I examined the source code between each employee and they are nearly identical. The only difference is their contact info. Yet, there seems to be no correlation between contact info and indentation. The photos are all sized the same (150×150 px).

]]>I added the code [search_staff_members] to the top of the page where my current employee directory is. I want to be able to search for employees from this box, but not have employee pages/information come up on the general website search. I unchecked the box “include staff members in search results” under the basic option settings to prevent this. But with this box unchecked, the search box using the above code will not find any search results, even when an employee named is completely spelled out. What do I need to do to allow the search function to work on the employee directory page, but not on the general website search?

]]>Hi – when viewing the company directory on mobile the person’s name, title and bio are all on the right of the image and goes down way too far as it will not allow any wording under the photo.
I have figured out how to hide the bio altogether from mobile view, but I can not figure out how to get the person’s name to go directly underneath their image and place their title below their name.
