As the admin of the intranet.bjhuman.hu page, would like to add editing permission to a user who already has editor wp permission.

At the user settings I only can switch the permissions ( editor / stafflist editor) but I cannot choose both of them.

I need a user who can post, change content on pages, AND can change stafflist data, BUT not be an admin.

Well, this is frustrating.

I reached out about a month ago because the list was sorting incorrectly. You all resolved that issue, which was great.

I just checked the page, and the whole list is gone, and the placeholder for Lucile Bluth was on our live page.

I’ve removed Lucile Bluth and re-added my .csv, but now I have the same problem I had before where the list is sorting incorrectly.

I’d like to know where my old list went, why it disappeared, and what I can do to make sure that never happens again. I’d also like this list to be sorting properly again.

Hey there! This plugin is a great solution for what I need.

Not sure what’s going on, but it’s sorting by the wrong column. I have used “sort=3” which should correspond to the column titled “Department”.

I noticed that in the stafflist entry area, the column it’s sorting by instead is the only column not showing as a blue hyperlink. It also has a “/” in it; it says “Phone / Ext” (also, the columns following it don’t have up/down arrows to the left/right of the column name).

Any help/guidance you could provide would be appreciated!

I installed the latest version 3.0.0 of StaffList but it broke my website.
Critical error as there was a dependency on PHP 7.3

It seems, StaffList now needs PHP7.3, but my site is still PHP7.2
Unfortunately, we are unable to upgrade to PHP7.3+ due to some legacy code (but we are working on it)

I understand the reason this 7.3 dependency occurred is StaffList has migrated to PHPSpreadsheet.
We also looked at PHPSpreadsheet for our project, but rejected it as it is too large and too complex. Instead, we chose:
* https://github.com/shuchkin/simplexlsx (read)
* https://github.com/shuchkin/simplexlsxgen (write)
They are each a single PHP file, very simple to install, no dependencies, very simple to use, also reliable and supported.

You may wish to look at these for StaffList to eliminate future dependency and complexity issues.

is there a way to speed up the search? It takes at least one or two seconds to actually have the results displayed. Other similar plugins have a faster search function, but I would really love to use your plugin.

Are you going to update Stafflist accordingly? (Looks like there’s a developer tool to easily migrate to PhpSpreadsheet any project still using PHPExcel)

The search feature generates an uncacheable request with each keystroke in the search field. This is basically (when there is a lot of traffic to that staff directory page) to self-DDoS with requests. Is there a way to change the behavior of search instead of a request on each keystroke, to perform the search after a full value?

Hi. Still enjoying the plugin. I have an Excel spreadsheet with multiple columns and several departments. Is there a way to use shortcode to HIDE a column that is relevant to one department but not relevant to another? Such as department A has a user number but department B doesn’t and department B still shows the column for the user number?

Love the plugin! I’m only having one issue so far. When I put in a field with numbers between 1-50 (for example) it lists the order as

etc instead of

2
3

Is there a way to change this so it lists it properly? I am part of a mens group and we have 22 districts so I need the order to list properly by district in the correct order. Thanks!

does the shortcode allow multiple criteria to be used for refinement? I am trying to limit the rows displayed by eg 2 department names but can’t figure out if this is supported in some way. I wanted this in the same grid too as I know I can have multiple instances on the same page.

Secondly, is there any support for wildcards? I have a number of departments that are separated geographically and would have a site identifier as a prefix to their department name. Is it possible to use wildcards on the shortcode?

I am trying to use the shortcode with a department name that has an ampersand (&) in the name but it isn’t showing any records. Do I need to treat the ampersand differently by escaping it in some way?

After deploying staff list it was brought to my attention that some of our webform submission were erroring out because the recaptcha was not loading.

Seems the source of the problem is the plugin, but I’m a front-end guy with only some css skills.

Right now the Plugin is disabled so the forms will be deliverable, but I can replicate in a dev environment and activate the plugin if needed.

I thought the issue might be “tipsy” and tired updating the tipsy.js file but that didn’t work. so hoping for some insight.

Absolutely loved this plugin – made me a hero with the IT departments need to quickly stand up a directory as a result of COVID-19. would hate to have to start over.

We are using the plugin for our Intranet site.
We see the phone number list, but the search box is always partially hidden behind the column headers, so when a user wants to look for something he is blind typing.
Everything else works without problem.
We are using the Woffice template and the widget is on a dedicated page.
We have the same issue with Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Internet Explore
We used this
[stafflist rows=20 on=”type” ]
in a test block.
Can you suggest how to make all the search box visibile? In the demo page the search box is visible

Loved using your plugin to build a quick directory today. Was wondering if it was possible to include a link as one of the standard record columns.

I first imported the links into the department but the links weren’t live.
Next, I tried using the email field – as I really didn’t need emails in the list

I am trying to figure out how to set a default filter when the list is first rendered. Right now the entire list is shown and then the search filter reduces it to the proper results.

I would like the default render to not show any results until a search criteria is entered. Then only show the results from the search.
