Hey!
Before you create your own topic here, please read the guidance below. Twitch Status has had some major upgrades and things have changed. If you are having issues or have a specific question, we may already have an answer for you below:
As of the latest update, Twitch Status is now an Add-on plugin for our new plugin – StreamWeasels Twitch Integration. You must install this new plugin for your Twitch Status to continue working.
If you’d like to know why we created a new plugin, what the new features include or what you need to do to get it working, please check out our StreamWeasels Twitch Integration migration guide.
All of the StreamWeasels plugins have been rewritten, and the settings for Twitch Status has been updated.
Old Settings:
Appearance -> Customiser -> Stream Status for Twitch
New Settings:
Twitch Integration -> [Add-On] Status
If you don’t want to use the new version of Twitch Status with Twitch Integration, you can return to the old version easily and all your data will still be there.
Simply delete the new Twitch Status, now named StreamWeasels Twitch Integration – Status Add-on. Then re-install the old Twitch Status by visiting the Advanced Plugin page, scrolling down and downloading version 1.4.
If you’re having some other issues with the plugin, there are a few ways you can get help. You can reach out directly on our Contact Page which includes both a contact form and an option for live chat. You can also search the StreamWeasels Knowledge Base, where we might have already addressed your issue.
Premium Support
Our new plugin – StreamWeasels Twitch Integration has both a free and a PRO version available. PRO users get premium support, in the form of priority email support, answered within 24 hours. PRO users also get access to real-time support in our Discord server. If you want premium support, upgrade to StreamWeasels Integration PRO today!

Hello, great plugin, very clean and easy to use!
I was testing the plugin and was working fine while streaming from my computer, but as soon as a friend of mine tried it was not showing as ONLINE. I figured out it was because of the check on this variable broadcast_platform it’s only for “LIVE” and not for any other platform.
As a suggestion, maybe it’s better to check on a more reliable status.
I changed the code just as a hotfix, but it might have other types of returns as well.
If someone faced the same issue, here follows the change on file: stream-status-for-twitch.php Line #271
if (data.stream && (data.stream.broadcast_platform == 'live' || data.stream.broadcast_platform == 'ps4'))
Would be great if you guys added some flexibility to this plugin. Someone has already asked about a widget. If I use another plugin to make this a widget and place in an offcanvas or top menu, there are cutoff problems with display. Considering I’m creating a site for 40 club dj’s all displaced by Covid that have moved to twitch, it would also be nice to be able to create an online/offline notice using the channel name and allowing more than 1 to a page. Also, adding the ability to turn off the plugin on certain pages without the use of another plugin would be nice too.

Is there a way to get this plugin to sit in a widget sidebar? I have one on my site and I want everything to sit in there for this type of stuff. Any ideas?
]]>While on the test-site the plugin worked without an issue, now moving it to the main domain now I can only see it when I am logged in to the page. If logged out, on various browsers and in incognito mode, it doesn’t show. I tried it also with the 2021 theme deactivated all other plugins but it’s still the same issue.
The test-environment is on a different webhost and it worked without a problem there (logged in AND logged out) – I would appreciate a pointer as to what can cause this issue ??
Thanks a lot!
Monika
Just wanted to let everyone know that this plugin has now changed hands and the busted API calls have been fixed. The plugin is now 100% working again.
Keep an eye out for some exciting new updates soon ??
]]>Great plugin, does exactly what it should, unfortunately seems abandoned and hasn’t been updated to the latest Twitch API and thus has stopped working.
]]>When a theme is using Roboto as its font, it seems to get in conflict with the plugin “bonfire_sst_fonts_url” function, all body text goes to bold.
When I change my body font to something else it goes back to normal.
Have to set the function Roboto urlencode to 400 instead of 500 to make it work, but obviously not an ideal solution.
Hi, we’re creating a new site and added your Twitch stream status plugin. However, we notice that when we start scrolling down the home page, it flickers or jumps. The navigation bar does not do that when the Twitch plugin is not activated, so we think it’s something to do with the settings of your plugin. It doesn’t seem to happen all the time, mostly in Safari. Is there something we need to be doing to make it smooth when scrolling? Thanks for your help!
]]>I am running WP 4.9.8, theme clean bloggist.
I have your widget in my sidebar, but if I try to add info to the settings (url, and/or custom display text), the widget disappears. I have tried a couple of themes now and all of them do this.
]]>Hello! I need some help for some a small individual setting of this plugin but I’m not able to fix that without PHP errors. Could you please send me the correct file or code for forwarding to an internal WP site?
See also here:

You can just add another example page which I could change but I don’t know which code I have to change to get it work.
]]>I’m currently working on my new website and I would like to make the stream status linking to my internal static page instead the Twitch website as I already have embedded the stream via iframe. Is this possible somehow? I couldn’t find any option for that.
]]>Do you have the css code to change the color of the status bar? You have options to change it, but it doesn’t include the little sliver on the end. Great plugin.

]]>Hello,
This is how my website supposed to look:
And this is how it looks with the plugin activated:
So it’s changing the weight of the text.
Any ideas what’s wrong?
Thank YOu!
]]>Is there any way I could use it with a shortcut or insert it on WP’s content instead of it’s float position?
]]>I am using the Avada theme. I cannot get the positioning of the icon to work. It is awkwardly floating out of place no matter if I have the absolute positioning box checked or unchecked. Please advise.
]]>Have installed but have yet to check it until our next stream, however, quick question/suggestion…
Have you thought of including an option to add multiple channel status’..? Or is it possible to include if the channel is hosting..?
…was just a quick thought, can’t wait to test the plugin and will review it once we do.
Thank you ??
