I am a novice, but I followed the instructions on the video and it is streaming just fine for me. With the exception of the excerpt/content issue if I click on the actual post, then I get the (video). Came here for guidance on how to fix it per Plug-in FAQs.
I only see “(video)” on my blog, why?
With some WordPress themes when you are browsing your blog, doing a search or any other thing that shows multiple post on one page you may see only the word “(video)” instead of the actual video BUT in a single page with a single post you can see your video, the reason to this behavior is to prevent some XHTML issues because the theme you are using is running the function “the_excerpt()” instead of “the_content()”, the “the_excerpt()” function cut a post in a small pice of text and because this plug-in generate XHTML code it could lead to a disaster in terms of code when a XHTML tag is not closed, a solution could be to use other plug-in that replaces the “the_excerpt()” function or to change your theme code to run “the_content()” instead of the “the_excerpt()” combined with the use the “<!–more–>” comment tag in your content.

A real shame. This used to be a good player but it isn’t fully compatible with recent versions of WP. Some of the videos on my site are broken now and I can’t use it to embed Youtube. So I guess the best thing to do is find a replacement player, then go through my whole site and replace every single video. Bummer.

Nothing is coming up but a Gray Screen while clicking on the “Media Library” button. Then nothing can’t be done at all.

when i have an video or live stram on an url that your plugin does not find the iframe. but i have dhe embed code of it 4 ex: “<iframe src=”https://www.somesite.com/vid/A65XXXXXXXC270″ width=”600″ height=”360″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no”></iframe>”, can i show this iframe(rem. i have only the embed code) through your plugin? if “yes”, how?

I had been using SVP since 2010 no problem. Since then I updated WP to 3.7.1 and SVP to 1.4.0. Now I get nothing but a gray screen when clicking on anything from the media library within the SVP dialog box.
Other folks have noted this same problem – no response (that I can see) from the author.

To download the player is a big mistake! I downloaded it and my antivirus program removed it. Said it was an unsafe download. Imagine that from wordpress.

If only this plugin worked like in the video. Unless one wants to become an expert in FLV meta command line operations and fixing cross-domain issues, this isn’t a solution. Note to the author: Your XML cross domain file didn’t eliminate the warning message after I copied it to the root directory.
Someday, someday, inserting videos won’t be a royal PITA!

This download does not seem to exist. I have a brand new computer and it has been compatible with everything else so far, this is the first brick wall I have run into. Usually if I want to download a program or an update I simply click the ‘download’ button, click ‘save file’, wait for the the download, right click and click ‘open’.
Usually the download will take it from there, with an occasional confirmation from me. When I click ‘download’ here, it does have the pop-up window prompting me to save the file, then the downloading window appears. Upon it’s completion I right-click ‘open’, and it takes me to a folder containing what appears to be hundreds of files related to this program. I have tried to run as many of these as I have the patience for.
I came across this download from a Disney movie hosting site called https://www.kidsonlineplace.com that said I needed to download this plugin to view the videos the website hosts. Seeming as how less than an hour before it had played a full-feature film with no problem, I assumed this was standard. No such luck. This doesn’t make any sense. I might also mention all of my adobe flash player+java plugins are up to date and all other videos are streaming perfectly.

per questo sito sto usando la versione 3.4.2 , ma anche per i siti dove uso la versione 3.5.1, il plugin non funziona, sia nei post che nelle pagine, mi appare costantemente la scritta che il plugin deve essere aggiornato alla versione 1.3.7 , e nonostante l abbia fatto, i video non si vedono più, spero si tratti di una cosa momentanea, altrimenti dovrò trovare un altro plugin, perchè tutti i miei siti sono basati sulla visualizzazione di video promo gratis e per reclamizzare aree video.
for this site I’m using version 3.4.2, but also for sites where I use the version 3.5.1, the plugin does not work, is that in the post pages, I get always the message that the plugin must be updated to version 1.3 .7, and despite having done so, you can not see the video, but I hope it is a momentary thing, otherwise I will have to find another plugin, because all my sites are based on viewing video promo video for free and advertise my members ship areas

I didn’t want to rate, sorry I put one star.
Just to say that I found Stream Video plugin vers 1.3.5 not compatible with Responsive Theme by ThemeID. I was using Responsive child theme as suggested. This combination made page editing input areas unusable; mouse arrow only on input boxes; input boxes not showing the content either. Deactivate Stream Viewer & text input returned to as normal functionality. Rodrigo’s directions (video & screen shot)did not match wordpress interface. Rodrigo’s web site does say “outdated info” on video & screen shot.
I had hoped I’d get video working straight away, but no joy. Sorry Rodrigo, you have obviously given it a fair amount of work.
ThemeID forum search shows they suggest for those looking for an alternative.
