Before the recent update the plugin was able to show posts in order of date published. But since updating I can’t seem to figure out how to do it again.

Hello,
It seems that no matter what number of posts I set the plugin to show it shows more than 30 posts. If I set it to show 1 post, I see 36. If I set it to show 5, it displays 39. I’ve tried disabling all plugins and received the same results.
Any other ideas as to what could be causing this?
Thanks!
]]>The default color for the number count is blue.
I was hoping to find a way to make them red.
Any help would be much appreciated!
]]>can you help me alter the code to show the new posts from a specific category,

thanks for the great plugin by the way!
its the best looking one ??
Hello Everyone!
It has been over two years since I have released “Stylish Popular Posts”. The plugin has been downloaded more than 10K times.
I have decided to do major changes to this plugin, so I am looking for feedback and suggestions. Reading through support questions, I have decided to implement the following functionalities to version 2.0:
Post Display Methods:
– Posts based on number of views (using third party plugins like Jetpack )
– Random Posts
Other Functionalities:
– Filter posts based on date (for example: display popular posts in the past 7 days)
– Display number of comments
– Thumbnail Size
Styling and Customization:
– Allow custom content before/after the widget
– Change color of the counter
– Insert custom css
if you have a suggestion, please respond to this post and I will add it to the list for the upcoming version.
]]>whatever number i put in the widget it displays posts all the way down my page. e.g. if I tell it to display 3 it shows more than 10.
]]>Does your plugin also work for custom post types ?
]]>Hi,
I am currently using your plugin on the sidebar widget. However, since the homepage does not have a sidebar, I am unable to use this plugin.
Can you tell me if your plugin can be used inside posts or directly via php?
Hello;
My thumbnails are displaying out of portion, i have adjusted the css and it did not work…..

]]>Hello;
Great plugin, i was thinking if this can be changed to a random post widget instead of popular post?
]]>Best plugin I have seen however we need the option to show via view count, all time, daily, weekly anything like that. Comment just shows our articles that had lots of comments..
Any idea if you plan to fix this?
]]>I need to exclude a certain post or certain category from being chosen for this plugin. Any way to do this??
]]>Hello,
I found that this popular post plugin is the best one in style. I really love it from the minute I saw it and it is working very good with my wordpress 3.5.2 website.
I would like to suggest you for some important functionality for a plugin like this when installing in a website with high traffic and has been online for ages. There are 2 problems I currently found from this version of your plugin;
1. For a website that has heavy traffic per day, having to generate the popular posts every time makes thing difficult to the server side. It would be better to implement the caching method to your plugin for timely base to prevent the server from being overloaded.
2. With the website that has been online for ages (my case is for 3 – 4 years), you may need to implement the maximum time the plugin crawls for the popular post to prevent the event, which is currently happening in this version, where the plugin picks up the post from last 2 years as the popular post.
Other than these, I would also like to suggest a feature that is likely be useful to many people. If you can implement the other ways of collecting data for determining the popular posts like counting from views or social shares instead of comments, that would be fantastic.
Thanks and really cheer you up for this project. You are on the right track. Your most popular plugin does really have the potential to be the best in its category. And I am more than ready to test it live on my website.
Really looking forward to hearing from you.
]]>Fisrt of all your plugin looks really great, but i would like to display most viewed articles instead of most comented.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance
First of all, thank you for the plugin,
My question is : Aa the plugin is set by default to be stack on top of each other and to be put in the sidebar, can I made them be side-by-side to be put on the footer of my page?
Thank you
]]>My popular posts are stacking on top of each other on the second place..
I have up to 5 popular posts enabled

Is there any way to change the $current_num to a valid code that will display a number of comments for most popular 3 posts – not like 01, 02, 03 – but like 32, 20, 12. Instead of 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in popularity – just the amount of comments for specific posts.
]]>hello, this plug in is great, but how can I remove the numbers? thanks..
