plugin won’t keep configuration

cannot contact author on their website (404 error for wordpress plugins)

I have tried through three updates now, deleting the old and installing the new. Each time, the user and password info is saved, but the URL will not save, it stays https://example.com. I have tried saving the URL is several ways, thinking maybe I didn’t have enough or too much in the field.

I had really hoped to get the forms plugin too, but if this part won’t work, I am unsure about the other. Please tell me that I must have done something wrong and how to fix it.
