Just one issue I have. If someone opts to pay via card or Paypal, the next time they make a purchase they will only see that one, they don’t have the choice of the other.
Edit: The options both show if I add something else to the basket.

the new update is really great but it would have been even better if we could have changed the color of the payment button and also the message that is “PAY [ORDER SUM]” by a personalized message or simply by “pay now”. it’s really this kind of small detail that increases the conversion rate a bit like stripe does. In any case thank you for the update and I really hope you will improve the plugin.
Sincerely

No synchronization with woocommerce products.
This plugin only lets you add a Sumup payment method at checkout.
A shame…
Other POS solutions look so much better… I already regret my choice…

Do as it says: put the sumup payment platform on woocommerce and… that's it.
The other problem is that you don't have to go through the block version of woocommerce, but through the shortcode for sumup to work as a payment method. A shame and not very user-friendly.
What should be added to be useful:
synchronisation of woocommerce products with the Sumup online shop
synchronisation of customers between woocommerce and the Sumup online shop
Without this, the plugin isn't much use, especially as it doesn't add Apple Pay or G-Pay.
Don't forget, these days everyone pays by :
cards
phone (apple pay, g-pay, s-pay, etc)
paypal
and in Switzerland with Twint
If Sumup adds all its payment options, it will truly become a must-have. For the moment, you can do without it.

Not working with wordpress 6.4.2.

This is only a payment gateway for SumUp, there is no integration with your SumUp account to synchronise items, inventory, etc.
There is so much more this plugin could do (see SquareUp for an example of what it could do). Also SumUp does not have an online terminal (like SquareUp does).
I abandoned this and just used WooPayments (based on Stripe) instead.

TL;DR pick any other gateway. This is clearly an afterthought from SumUp.
Gosh what a mess. For some reason the test mode checkbox has disappeared. Was assured by support that with a test oAuth app no funds would be taken. Not true – the test setup did debit real cash. Why was I using a real card? Because SumUp do not have test cards and the card needed to be valid. Any valid card numbers were being declined so gave real card details.
Support – omg. Friendly enough but the whole setup, even in test is completely babysat by support. If you were planning on spending the afternoon setting up your test site you won’t get very far at all as support need to enable the relevant settings in your account which takes 24-48 hours. I already had a fully functioning production account being used for physical POS, so this should have been a breeze. But no, we had to go back and forth so that support could tick a greyed out checkbox I couldn’t be trusted to tick myself.
Oh and we were having a great back and forth getting the support I needed, but when I mentioned cash was taken from my account in test, radio silence. If this is the level of support to go live and give SumUp money, I dread to think what level of support I would get if I had a production issue.

I already had a verified account at SumUp since 2021 and been using their terminals to accept card payments in person since then. When I started my webshop they didn’t have a working plugin for woocommerce, so I had to look for an alternate solution (I’ve found a local one with slightly higher fees). Yesterday I accidentally spotted on the sumup site there’s an option now to use them on my webshop, so I read the documentation (it doesn’t always match what you actually see in the settings, but I guess anyone can follow the guide), then installed the plugin on my site, created the necessary key on the sumup site (OAuth2 App if you’d look for it), emailed the support to enable payment scope for it. This was around midnight. They responded by the morning, then enabled the function by 14:00 today and I tested it. Already had my first customer paying through sumup by 14:30 ??
Setting up a new payment method has never been easier!

Currently this plugin has been broken for users in different regions for over a week. Lots of merchants likely unaware and losing out on revenue.
Shame, as their physical card terminals are great and a brilliant solution for small businesses. Online payments, not so much.

Documentation looks serious but eventually, all this seems to be a giant weird joke to waste people’s time, because it is awfully complicated and just does not work … Why does SumUp not remove this plugin ? Or WordPress ? I can’t figure out.

Why does the “Test Mode” box disappear in version 2.1?

installed the sum up plugin, the site is ready to go live and sum up still havent approved the website, no explanation or reason why…
]]>Rating: 1 star
As others have mentioned, you can’t just install their plugin and get going. Sumup has to approve the website. For this, they want the full website live. Who is going to want to put an online shop live without a payment provider? My site is ready to go, but I have a holding page on it until payments can be taken. They are still refusing to process it even though I’ve given them full access to the site.
And then they do not respond to emails. It’s now over 5 weeks since I’ve requested them to approve, and still no sign of approval, with more emails being ignored today. Would strongly recommend everyone to avoid these for Woocommerce payments, and look at many of the other payment providers which “just work”

Please sync the products also that we have also the store on the smartphone

So you install Woocommerce and the sum up plugin-sounds easy!
Sumup Developer section then needs client id and secret-easy enough.
Payment not enabled- call Sumup and impossible to get any more than it has been passed to department- it’s simple enough if you meet required standards enable it and if you don’t then decline customer.
Can’t speak to department who administer this.
Use another provider like worldpay-life to short for this nonsense

Even with the lastest version of the plugin (1,1) it’s not working properly. Test mode does not work, the credit card inputs are even not showing on the checkout page (console saying that the targeted div is missing)… In live mode the credit card inputs take nearly 30seconds to appear in the checkout page… so not usable at all for the moment.

Customers getting charged twice on certain orders. Lots of complaints of customers unable to process their transactions. Zero support.

Finally BRL currency is working. Great gateway.

The official documentation lacks precise information on how to set this up. Especially for non-technically minded persons. So, long story short, I assume you already have created a SumUp account:
That’s all you need to do. Have fun!

Peccato

This plugin has never been updated. For a payment gateway this should say it all. The online help is very poor, staffed by people with good intentions but with very poor English. Maybe okay as a service for a card reader but as a Woocommerce payment gateway they should not be allowed to offer this plugin. This is without doubt the worst review I have ever given, but justifiable.

Real currency is not supported, there are feedbacks from 2020 and so far it has not been updated.
Sumup could have many more users if they were more efficient in making the right resources available to customers.

St?ndig Fehlermeldungen obwohl API korrekt verknüpft.

The company doesn’t seem to bother about online payment functionality. Don’t waste your time trying. This is software in development, should not be available at this stage.

Could be great, massively let down by support as you can only get through to basic support anything more advance has to be a call back of which they never do. Shame as the card machine service is so good, will now need to look for an aternative for both online and inperson service
