Hello,
I’d like to point out that Surecart causes a critical error when you try to change a media permalink manually.
When I deactivate the plugin I don’t get this bug anymore, but when I activate Surecart I can’t change the permalink of a media because I get a critical error.
I use the latest version of surecart but I have a 500 error and when I deactivate surecart my site works again here is the error PHP Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the
surecart
domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the
init
action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. I’m really liking the plugin as an alternative to WooCommerce. However, the one thing that keeps me from switching is the lack of advanced shipping options. There are no real-time rates from UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc. There is also no option to make the shipping cost a percentage of the total cost (10% x total for example), or make the flat rate option per quantity ($5 x quantity for example). These are things that WooCommerce has and many, many clients of mine use. Are advanced shipping options on the roadmap? While I really like SureCart, I’m hesitant to use it as shipping is a key component for e-commerce stores and it seems to be lacking.
I’m trying to assess SureCart before purchase, and I’m trying to compare SureCart and Woocommerce using the Astra theme and Astra starter templates by creating two stores in staging environments.
When building a site from the “Brand Store” template and enabling Woo, the result is a fully functional shop with all links working and a Shop page with controls for product filtering. (I’m particularly interested in providing product filter controls by price, category, etc. I wouldn’t put up a shop in production without this basic functionality.)
When building the site from the same “Brand Store” template with SureCart, many menu and button links are not working because categories/collections were not specified in the template. I understand product filters have only just been introduced in v3? However it seems the only available filter is by category/collection and the design options for filters are very basic, with no controls other than a drop-down as far as I can see.
Is it possible to filter by price as well as category? Any plans to work further on the presentation of the Astra starter templates for SureCart shops?
I’ve tried everything I could think of to fix this issue and I’m out of ideas.
I make a product in the backend, add an image or two, save but the product image will not show on the frontend. Instead, it’s the placeholder image.
has anyone else experienced the same issue? Do you know of a fix?
SureCart 3.0.0 does not work if Gutenberg it’s installed.
On product page button are missing text and product cannot be added on click.
I see this error in console on product page:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot destructure property 'speak' of 'wp.a11y' as it is undefined.

Upgrading to SureCart V3 introduces powerful new features and enhanced functionality. However, due to significant structural changes, it’s essential to carefully review your site afterward to ensure all elements look and function as expected.?
SureCart V3 has undergone extensive testing, including a multi-month beta period where we tested the new version on over 100 stores. We also collaborated with active merchants to perform assisted upgrades, helping us uncover and address any potential issues.?
While we don’t anticipate any major problems, this is a significant update, so it’s possible that some visual elements may appear different.
As SureCart is self-hosted and operates on thousands of unique hosting and site configurations, it’s challenging to account for every scenario.
However, we’ve made every effort to ensure a smooth upgrade process. We strongly recommend that you review your store after the upgrade to verify everything is displaying as expected.
Hi, just to let you know the site is not live just yet.
Two questions:
1. Package weight: we set up all the parameters (product weight, shipping method with payment based on weight) but when we test, the system doesn’t calculate the extra weight of the package to charge accordingly. For instance. We set a 4-euros charge up to 2 kg. When we add items above 2 kg, the system doesn’t change the charge. What should I do?
1. Extra charge per package for cash on delivery method: when we send a package cash on delivery, the courier charges extra fees. We need the system to calculate the package based on weight AND the courier’s fees. How do I set this?
Thank you
Does SureCart support physical product subscriptions, specifically coffee? Our current WooCommerce site allows for subscriptions where the variants are Coffee Type, Grind and Delivery Frequency. Delivery options are once a month or every two weeks and each delivery adds the appropriate shipping cost. Customers should also be able to modify, cancel or pause their subscription.
Thanks.
Hello SC Team,
May I ask you to come up with a way to show that a certain product is “on sale” or “on promo” right on the shop page?
So far, I see my “promo” badge on my product page, whenever a product has “compare at price” but not on the shop page.
In case there is such feature already, where can I find it?
I think this is a vital feature for any shop out there.
Thank you!

Hello Folks, almost done with setting things up but here’s what happens when I use a coupon “FREEBOOK” to reduce the payment amount to 0.00.
access to your purchase
and thank you for your purchase
In the first one, downloading of the file works fine. However, “access our portal” takes me to a 404 (page not found).
When I navigate to the portal manually (as I know the URL), “Send a login code” sends me an email that’s related to my payment details and of course does not work.
In the 2nd email, thanks for your purchase, the link does not work (also leads to a 404).
I noticed you’re having order_id and purchase_id as query params for your links. It could be something related to these.
Any help would be appreciated.
I tested it all with a test user (and test payment processor via Instant Checkout this time) and faced the exact same behavior – with and w/o using coupon code.
Hi,
Is there a way to make the products filterable by price?
Thank you.
Hello, can someone please tell me how I can setup a breadcrumb on the shop and product pages please?
I have been messing around for hours but I can’t get it to work and sadly my poor old brain isn’t as sharp as it use to be.
So if someone would be kind enough to give me a step by step guide I will love you long time.
Thanks.
I was not able to find a way to set different shipping prices depending on the area within the same country, as example:
Spain: 5€
Spain (the Canary Islands): 10€
Spain (Ceuta and Melilla): 14€
I can only add one shipping price for the entire country (Spain), but in the case of Spain and other countries, one price is not enough because delivery costs vary significantly, sometimes by two or three times. Is there a workaround for this, or is there no way to address it for now, making it unfeasible to use physical products in Spain?
Thanks a lot.
I’m considering SureCart for a straightforward one product e-commerce site. I even installed SureCart for evaluation purposes. However, I could find no way to setup free shipping for multiple product purchases and have not seen that online either. Is this possible, and if so, how do I set that up? Thanks for your time!
Looking at this as Woocommerce has become pretty annoying. Not sure it’s going to work though. Am I missing something, or is it not possible to have custom fields on products (ACF)? Also, it looks like real time rates from USPS, UPS, etc. isn’t available either. Is that the case or am I missing those settings somewhere?
Hi, we have two related questions while testing Surecart, so far the API and webhooks have been great.
1. What are the plan limitations on size of file downloads?
We know the 100 MB limit are in place in test/free mode, but cannot find what plans have what file size restrictions? We are looking to provide some larger size files, but limit number of downloads accessible per user purchase, as each user should only have to download an item once or twice.
2. Does there exist functionality to limit number of times a file can be downloaded by a user?
We can track user visits to the download page and limit access at page level. However its seems not straight forward to track the download button itself with the number of times it has been clicked by a user for limiting the number of downloads.
Today I received a message from Google Search Console “Product snippets structured data issues detected – Product snippets Missing field ‘priceValidUntil’ (in ‘offers’)”, and of the 13 products in the store it only identifies the error in 9.
I checked all the products and they are all configured the same way and with the same template.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks.

Hello,
I tested this plugin on a temporary site using TasteWP. I saw that it lets you charge a recurring fee ie a subscription, to allocate a user role to someone. This is exactly what I need, a simple subscription that allocates a user role to members of my site for a limited time period, since I will use user roles to grant permissions to do things (as opposed to granting access to posts). Unfortunately, there are two issues:

I am using SureCart for my eCommerce coffee shop (https://protocolcoffee.com/) and would like to add the ability for my customers to leave a review for the products that I sell. I believe that having product reviews is good for everyone.
I installed the Site Reviews WordPress plug-in but unfortunately it appears that it is not SureCart “aware”. I added the reviews block to the product template and they do show up fine but It is not associating the reviews with the products.
I am hoping that there might be a good trick to make this plugin work with SureCart products. If there isn’t, a recommendation for another reviews plugin that works with SureCart will be greatly helpful.
Thank you in advance!
Hello. I have recently installed Surecart for the first time. The setup process was easy and the shop looks great – thank you for that.
However, I was very disappointed to discover on my first live transaction that there is a processing fee charged by Surecart, on top of the PayPal and Stripe fees. This transaction fee was not mentioned anywhere in the setup process, nor in the shop or payment processor settings, nor on the Surecart sales information pages, FAQ, or here on the WP repository plugin page. I had to dig down into the Surecart documentation, halfway down the “Understanding eCommerce Fees” page, to see that you charge an additional 1.9% transaction fee on all transactions.
As a small nonprofit who only has a few products and no subscriptions, and where every dollar counts, this extra fee is a big downside for us. My question is: does the transaction fee apply to donations accepted through your software? Is there any way to recover this fee for nonprofits?
Thank you for your time.
Hi there,
Please let me know how I delete a collection that I created. I tried numerous searches and could not find a topic on this. This should be an easy task, but when I hover over the collection I only get an option to edit or view.
Also, is there a way to disable the filter on the shop page? I only have two collections so there is no need to filter the collections.
Thank you.

how to change the header menu? i use astra, and already test change header bg color, text color.

I was exploring SureCart and installed it on a local site. I kept getting an error (shown below (1)) but without an explanation as to what was wrong.
It just says “There were some validation errors.” without showing any error messages.
I was able to dig into the console (shown below (2)) and there was a helpful error message saying that my blog name cannot be “Blog”. I changed the name from “Blog” to “My Blog” and it worked.
I’d love to see the error message actually shown as it created an annoying experience as I tried various emails, currencies, etc trying to figure out what it didn’t like.

I really like SureCart but I’ve found a couple of limitations that are giving me a hard time improving the SEO, and I’m losing traffic because of this. I thought that installing an SEO plugin would fix the problems but it didn’t. Here some of the issues I’m having:
1- Rank Math is not using the product meta description provided by SureCart. Instead, it is displaying random content from the product page (ex. “fast shipping”).
2- I don’t know how, but all product canonicals changed from storename.com/product/product-name to storename.com/?sc_product=product-name. I believe that is the reason why Google Console is showing “None” for “User-declared canonical”.
3- Product sitemap is not updating. I tried flushing the cache, setting RM sitemap caching to false… and nothing works. And this is creating issue with Google console.
4- Product images are not being listed on the product sitemap, which is affecting products visibility.
5- When I change a product slug/link RM or SC automatically creates a redirect but I cant find where those redirects are located.
I contacted Rank Math [awesome] support about the issue and here is what they explained:
“SureCart doesn’t save products and their data in your site’s database. The products are saved on their server, that’s why it isn’t possible for our plugin to add the correct meta tags or generate the sitemap. You will have to get in touch with their support and ask them if they have a solution for integration with SEO plugins.”
Hello,
We are currently using SureCart and are happy with it. However, we have encountered an issue. Since we are not using WooCommerce, when a customer purchases a product from us, an account is automatically created for them.
The problem arises when a user tries to access their account on our website they only see the login page with no option to sign up. This is an issue for users who need to create a ticket or perform other actions on our site but did not purchase directly from us (for instance, they bought it from ThemeForest). Consequently, they do not have an account on our site.
Is there a way for users to create an account on our site even if they haven’t purchased directly from us?
This is an urgent matter and requires your immediate attention.
Thank you
