Is there any way to sync the scheduled posts? The normal manual-publish posts sync is working fine but on my site, 90% of posts are scheduled and those all are not being indexed to swift type search engine.
Please guide me if I can accomplish this using a hook or something.
Thanks

Hi,
I am looking for a solution which allows me to:
EITHER:
1A)
– Search in Post Types by searching Taxonomy Terms associated (i.e. a post type ‘Post1’ has the taxonomy term ‘Rome’ as taxonomy ‘City’ associated -> I type in the search bar ‘Rome’ and in the results showed I see ”Post1′
+
– When I start typing for ‘Rome’, I get a drop-down menu with suggestions of other taxonomy terms like ‘Rome 2’, ‘Rome 3’…
OR
1B)
– Search in Taxonomy Terms by searching Taxonomy Terms -> I type ‘Rome’ and I get as result ‘Rome’, ‘Rome 2’, ‘Rome 3’..
+
– When I start typing for ‘Rome’, I get a drop-down menu with suggestions of other taxonomy terms like ‘Rome 2’, ‘Rome 3’
+
– The chance to filter the Taxonomy Terms (i.e. the taxonomy ‘City’ is hierarchical and I have ‘Italy > Rome’, ‘France > Rome’, ‘Spain > Rome’ so I filter for the father ‘Italy’ and when I type ‘Rome’ I get only the ‘Rome’ child of Italy
Does your plugin allow one of these 2 options?
Thanks in advance,
Daniele
Hi –
Is there a shortcode or other way to place the search text box in the body of a page?
We are using Google Custom Search right now and are planning to switch to another search engine tool. A requirement is to place the search box on the home page. See link to the page.
Thanks,
Virginia

Hello,
I would like to add Swiftype search to my site. I am a little confused about the difference between this free plugin “Swiftype Search”, and the paid one offered by Swiftype themselves “WordPress plugin by Swiftype”.
How do these compare functionally? Why would I choose one over the other (aside from price)?
Thanks.

Hi,
In my search results shortcodes are showing up. But when I go to the swiftype dashboard and check pages that show shortcodes in search results, they don’t appear there?
What could cause this?
Thank you for your support
Hi
I have followed the instructions on your tutorials for adding images to search results. I have modified my site so that the tag is inserted for images like this:

After these changes, I did Synchronize the Search Engine from within my WordPress Dashboard. But I still do not see the images.
Any ideas?
Hello,
I am using a custom post type which is being indexed properly but I need Swiftype to search for keywords within my custom taxonomies as well (for example, I have a custom taxonomy called “Project Tags” which behaves similarly to normal tags but is only for tags on my custom post type “Project”). Is there a way to get Swiftype to index custom taxonomies? I’m seeing how to index custom fields but nothing about taxonomies that I can find.
Thanks,
John

Hey,
So based on the WordPress plugin’s documentation, all the indexing is not based on the actual site output content but WP’s database content?
However if I implement Swiftype on my WP site without the plugin, the indexing is based on actual site output aka. the site is crawled by Swiftype?
Because the former apparently forces me to add every single custom field separately to be indexed by Swiftype, while the latter doesn’t (as long as it’s printed on the actual web page).
Or am I missing something here?
Hi,
how I can insert search results in custom page? My theme do not have search page, I must create my own in wordpress > pages. So, only way I can display search results is to insert [shortcode] in new Page and set that page for “search results page”. Thanks.
Hello
First thanks a lot for this great plugin.
I was wondering .. Can I use this plugin in a theme or another plugin for commercial purposes? Of course the name and URL of your plugin will be in documentation & Sale page & Admin.
Thanks in advance
Hi, I am using the Overlay override (https://swiftype.com/documentation/tutorials/wordpress_overlay) on my WP site as I have trouble loading complete search results with the Ajax Load More plugin (https://connekthq.com/plugins/ajax-load-more/examples/search-results/) when >1 search terms are included.
However, with the Overlay, I can’t seem to limit the “Autocomplete result limits” using the var swiftypeConfig anymore.
Additionally, is there any way I can customise the output of the Overlay to show preview images in each post?
Thanks

Hi does this plugin work with Boolean search like for example a search like “cat -dogs -mouse” so that brings back results that have cat but not dogs and mouse?
I found another plugin but since the client I will be doing the website for wants to work with WordPress VIP and this is a WP VIP approved plugin I was just curious to find out.
Thanks
Hey,
I inserted the following code in my functions.php but for any reason it doesn′t work.
Does someone know what the problem is?
I′m using the fruitful theme but I think that is immaterial.

var swiftypeConfig = {
filters: {
posts: {
category: [‘!6’]

i’m trying to customize the results shown in the autocomplete.
In my functions.php

return '
test' + item['title'] + 'test
';
};
var swiftypeConfig = {
renderFunction: customRenderFunction

add_action('wp_head', 'swiftype_javascript_config');
I wrote this code by reading this documents:
https://swiftype.com/documentation/tutorials/customizing_wordpress_search
https://github.com/swiftype/swiftype-autocomplete-jquery
This doenst seem to work. What am i missing here?
Thanks in advance!
Will Swiftype work on location-based directory sites with thousands of location-based listings like Vantage by Appthemes and https://www.wpgeodirectory.com with multiple custom post types?
For example, will it work like “Anaheim Chinese Restaurant” or “Mexican Food Newport Beach” or “Pancakes 90210”?

Hi,
thank you for your Plugin. I really like it but have a question.
Do you offer a shortcode in order to show the search field in the middle of a site. Since I don′t want that it works with the widget on the right/left site, it would be very helpful.
Thanks a lot!

Having trouble with Search Results page. Can anyone help me with a code snippet and example of how the search.php template should be coded to display the correct results?
I’ve tried a few different solutions to fixing this or even testing to get the correct results. I created a new search.php template by copying and pasting all of the content from the file in Twenty Tweleve theme then renamed the one in my existing theme so it would use this template instead. This didn’t help me to display the correct results.
Next, I tried to recode my search.php template without using query posts to see if I would have a different result. I still wasn’t able to get the results I was looking for that I was seeing on the back-end of the Swiftype website.
Could anyone possibly copy and paste the code for a basic search.php template so I could look at it and see where things might be going on. I’m really spinning my wheels on this one and I’m not sure why this isn’t working. My drop menu in the search is working perfect, its just my results page that isn’t working correctly!
Is it possible that doesn’t is missing from my functions.php file? I know its supposed to work seamlessly in the back-end of WordPress which is why I’m kinda lost. I installed it correctly and indexed my pages. Everything looks great on the Swiftype website and on the dropmenu.
I’d be extremely appreciative if someone could help me take a look at my live website and try to help me out with the correct coding. That’s about all I can think is wrong at this point.
I’ve been looking around for solutions to fix the search on a client’s website for a while and this is the best plugin I’ve found. I would really love to get this fixed because I’ve put a good amount of time into this and I’m pretty stuck.
Thanks a bunch in advance!
My live website is located at: https://www.evolenthealth.com/resources/
Hint: The search bar is hidden to the right of the dropmenu for the isotope sorting using display: none. I did that so anyone could go back and unhide it for testing.
