Using fixes provided here, I have been using this plugin up until 4.1. It now seems to be completely broken. Has anyone found a good alternative?
]]>I have sent the plugin author an email regarding this and he immediately wrote back (thank you!) and said that it has to do with my theme (which is Atahualpa). So I reported this to the Theme creators and they in turn say that somehting’s boken in Tabbed Widgets.
Here is the thread including screenshots and a detailed error description:

So what is the problem here and how can we fix it?
]]>Tabbed Widgets was working correctly, but the error occurred after WordPress (3.5) and the plugin (1.3.1) were updated. Now all the tabs show at once, instead of on their individual tabs.
The same problem occurs within the Accordion setting.

I see no “Invisible Widget Area” in Appearance ? Widgets.
Anyway WTF is “Invisible Widget Area”?
Should I use visibility: hidden; or display: none in CSS or create some widget position in functions.php?
I don’t get it.
MAKE IT CLEARER! in instalation or faq section, because I don’t know what invisible widget area means.
Sorry buddy, but only 1 star from 5 from me :(. Doesn’t work at all. it’s awful.
]]>It seems that the tabbing functionality is broken with the latest wp. The plugin displays the content that should be there, but it all displays in a list without actually doing the tab (or accordion) functionality. There is a fix in the forums and I tested and it works but it would be nice if the author could integrate that fix into a quick new version.
]]>Hi,
i wonder if there is a way to expand the accordion horizontally
i mean, now if i set “accordion”, the tabs open from up to bottom
is there a way to open them from left to right?
thanks
can not save any settings. broken
]]>Just lists each widget one after the other, and no tabs
]]>I tried this code here – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-tabbed-widgets-its-not-working?replies=5 – and the tabbed widget starts to show the 2 tabs multiplied.
I pressed F5 and the widget showed the list of just one tab correct. But I can still see the 4 tabs (headers) instead of 2.
When I tried click on the second tab – the second tab links just popped up above the frist tabs links.
Is it not compatible with 3.3.1 or does it have any problems in their functions?
]]>The widget appears in the asigned widget area, but not as tabs.
]]>Hi,
I want to create to all tabs be close by default, I do not need option default open tab… What I need to change in script…
Thanks
]]>it’s not working
]]>This plugin is not working in WordPress 3.3. Likely a jQuery conflict of some sort.
]]>Looks like the jquery UI is not being applied when this plugin is used in WP 3.3, which then breaks the layout and functionality.
]]>I tried your plugin and it seems to work fine. I easily created a custom style to suit my theme, and it’s all good. I’m using WordPress 3.2.1 with the Constructor theme.
I do have a question though: what’s the function of the radio buttons next to the tabs, and what does the “Default Start Tab” radio button does?
I know it does not set a tab to be displayed always by default, because when I reload the page, the last selected tab is always selected, not the default one (which I assume is Tab 1)
]]>Plugin dont work
]]>Hello everyone,
first of all thanks to Kaspars for this great plugin.
But I still have a problem with the formating of tabed widget. When I put the tabed widget between two other widgets it displays all black. Look at this site https://www.bv21.de under the rubric “Spielplan” on the right side.
When I put the tabed widget on the last position of my sidebar everything works fine.
Can Anyone help me?
Thx
]]>I love the idea of this plugin, and it’s been really helpful when we’ve been able to get it to work. The problem I keep running into, though, is that it seems to be incompatible with a large number of other plugins.
This seems to stem from the fact that the Tabbed Widgets plugin attempts to load the front-end widgets for every widget that’s added anywhere on the page. A lot of plugins use completely different code to actually generate the widget than they do to display the backend widget editing form.
The latest example came from trying to use the Gravity Forms widget on a site where Tabbed Widgets is enabled (we’re not even using Tabbed Widgets on that site at the moment; but it is activated for the entire network).
I created a Gravity Form, went to the Widgets page, dragged the Forms widget into one of my sidebars and saved it. I checked the site; and everything looked fine. Then, when I went back to the Widgets page, my browser spit out a bunch of JavaScript errors (presumably because Gravity Forms doesn’t load the necessary jQuery plugins to make the front-end widget work when you’re not actually viewing the front-end of the website).
This is just one example. In other instances, I’ve had fatal PHP errors thrown because the code that generates the front-end widget relies on PHP classes and methods that aren’t invoked on the back-end.
Is there any way to use Tabbed Widgets without it trying to render all of my widgets when I’m in the admin area? Thanks.
]]>I just installed this plugin in a multisite environment and activated it on a single site. When I visited Appearance -> Widgets, I got a blank page with just the code [%Faculty Advisor%]
on it. As soon as I deactivated the plugin, the Widgets page started working again. I tried activating and deactivating the plugin multiple times to make sure that I could reproduce the issue. The result was the same every time.
Installed. Added content. Nothing displays.
]]>the tab switching seem to work fine, but the actual tabs are unstyled links. Isn’t there a default style to make them look like actual tabs??
]]>Great plugin, but why is trying to style the tabs title seeming so difficult? I’m digging throug the widgets editor in all 3 css files and can’t seem to find where to do this. Can anyone point me into the right direction?
]]>Unlike some folk on this forum I have the widget essentially working but not as it should. I have opted to use accordian style and have added some custom styling to suit my site at https://camperscircle.com. I can manually open each tab and collapse the previous, but I cannot set it to randomly open a tab at each page refresh which is what it should do surely. I am convinced I had it working well with version 0.9 but since upgrading to 1.3.1 it always opens on tab 1. I have checked everything mentioned on this forum but no luck – it’s driving me nuts!. I have default start tab and choose a random start tab checked – no joy. I select tab 1,2 or 3 with random – no joy. Always opens tab 1. Same thing on IE, Firefox and Chrome. Any suggestions? Running WP 3.2.1
]]>Using this plugin is great, only problem is when I try to place a new widget in the widget area below the tabbed widget, the tabbed widget spills into the next widget…. doesn’t matter which widget I put in there below it, and doesn’t matter what pages I set to pull in the tabbed widget. Almost like there is a div missing somewhere in the widget’s php code
]]>I love this plugin, but is there a way to have more than 5 tabs for the accordian. What mods would I have to make?
]]>The functionality of this widget is close to what I was looking for.
I’m using WP 3.1.3 and Weaver Theme 2.0.
I could not get the widget to work.
It only gave me the option of using widgets already installed in the primary widget area, not the “invisible” widget area. So I moved my desired widgets (categories and recent posts) into the “primary” area, but it still would not give me both options.
I even closed the widget setup and went back in. No better.
I wanted a 2-tabbed widget to switch between categories and posts. But this one simply would not pick up the “Recent posts” widget.
It would be great if it did. http://ssnet.org
]]>Hi Kaspars, sorry to report my installation is not functioning as it should! I’m using Portfolio Press theme + have several plugins running which could be conflicting but not W3 Cache or minify JS. I am using Fancybox & cloud-zoom for images though.
I can get tabbed widgets to show, but it currently shows all hidden content & does not have any ability to close. Whether I try using either tabs or accordion there’s no difference. Feels like a jQuery conflict or possibly a clear:both problem with the theme.
Any suggestions on how to look for conflicts?
]]>Hi,
We have the tabbed widgets widget set up on our site and cannot get it to work in tabbed mode. You can see it here:
https://www.brondesgroup.com – it’s the “All our services / Areas we cover” part at the bottom of the screen.
I’m not sure why I’m having problems. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.
]]>Having a float problem. Losing all widgets below tabbed.
I’m not having any float problem with any of my other widgets. Perhaps I could add a clear:both in your widget? Can you tell me the best place to add this?
