We have an online learning website and we would like to create more than one table of contents for each section of online content so students can easily go back and study past content. Can this be done with your plugin and if so, how?

If you have child categories then the TOC displays redundant lists of titles in that the parent category is going to display the totality of all posts in the children and then the child categories are going to display the same titles broken into the child sections. So I would like to do away with the parent category, but still be able to display the child categories.

I just installed this plugin (v 1.4.6.1). This is great plugin. I love the nested appearance.

I only have one problem. I already checked the options to show both Static Pages and Blog Posts but unfortunately only the static pages are displayed. My web is still local server, so here is the screenshot:

Just upgraded to WP 3.3 and the TOCC plugin stopped loading in Thesis 1.8 and 1.82. I figured it was only a matter of time since this plugin seemed like it was no longer supported. It’s a shame as there is really nothing else like it out there.

I would like to use the ‘Table of Contents Creator’ with qTranslate. I found the following instruction, however, before I screw up the entire php code, I wonder if someone has a detailed instruction which lines should be changed? Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had mastered the include/exclude terminology over at the authors site. (https://markbeljaars.com/plugins/tocc-plugin/) I tried posting a comment over there, but there haven’t been any new comments published to the site since Dec 2010 so it never showed up.

I’m trying to only include 5 posts from each category in the table of contents but I am not having any luck with the short codes. Has anyone implemented this successfully? If so, I’d be extremely appreciative if you shared what you used for your short code.

Hello, is it possible that 1 have a page-break after every 50 posts? Is it not nice if I have 1000 posts on the same page. Google don’t like more then 50 links/page. Thanks!

I watched your video about the install. WordPress 3.1 didn’t match. Plugin page would only let me activate/deactivate or edit. I went to the Settings box at the left of the admin menu to configure. There were only two options: title, and which categories to ignore. I had 4 posts in 3 categories and about 26 static pages. Nothing. No page was automatically created and placed on the menu so I then hand-created a static page and inserted into the HTML <!– toc-creator –> then I went to the main menu editor in the admin page, and placed that just created page on the menu. Still nothing. Then I went back and deactivated every other plugin I had, leaving only the Table of Contents creator, but still nothing.

To the developer:

1. Is there any way to show Custom Post Types and their taxonomies instead of posts or pages?
2. Is it possible to add Shortcodes for different parts of the site (Pages, Posts, etc.)

Design, functionality as well as Ease-of-use all excellent. Just make sure you use <!– toc-creator –> and not the default <– toc-creator –>. Otherwise you’ll go mad wondering why it does not work.
