i have created a widget plugin and now i want to use rich text editor.
after adding

Text Editor shows Visual | Text two tabs
But when i enter some text in visual area then save button says saved , but when try to write something in Text area its say Save and after click save visual tab gone

i search many codes but nothing work

I know the last devs suggested Beaver Builder, Elementor or Divi (YIKES!), but just throwing another competitor into the ring; Oxygen.

Fair warning, you’ll need to learn a bit of HTML and CSS because it’s a whole Website builder, not a simple page builder like native BB and Elementor, and not even close to Divi, which is kinda unwieldy. Additionally, lifetime license cost 1/4 of what it would cost to get Beaver Builder into the same realm!

Do yourself and your clients a favor, learn how to code, even the basics, and checkout Oxygen.

Can you please let me know, if there is any way to modify the order of elements.

I have added your plugin to my custom theme and also adding new elements to it, now, I want to change th order of elements according to my need, Can I do it? How?

For those still employing Tailor, you may notice that after updating to WP 4.9 (which introduces many Customizer updates), Tailor elements are no longer able to be saved. The element modal is no longer dismissable. This renders Tailor basically unusable. I would be curious to have someone confirm this. Time to find a new solution, I suppose … and start updating old sites.

Tailor Page Builder is not working proberly. It forgets sometimes the elements which was created and published before, but after publishing its gone.
I have got PHP 7.1 running. Is there any compatability problems?

I just tried to use the v1.8.1 but get this in the backend after activation of the plugin:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘var’ (T_VAR), expecting ‘;’ in /****/wp-content/plugins/tailor/includes/controls/abstract-control.php on line 257

For now I had to delete it via FTP from the server

Any ideas how to fix that?

Tried entering an iFrame into Tailor but it strips tags and attributes.

Stripped Attributes:

• id=””
• name=””
• scrolling=””

Testing WP4.9, I installed Tailor and deleted it, and while others plugins don’t show this, with Tailor I got:

Deletion failed: `{“success”:true,”data”:{“delete”:”plugin”,”slug”:”tailor”,”plugin”:”tailor\/tailor.php”,”pluginName”:”Tailor”}}

then “was successfully deleted” (should show “Tailor was successfully deleted”)

Please check if it’s your plugin or a bug in WP4.9

I have tried on several occasions to point a button to a link with parameters. Every time I do so, the button is stripped from my layout. Let me know if you are able to reproduce this or if this may be some conflict on my end. Thanks!

It’a very promising plugin and I read that it has a new management team, does this gonna make any real difference. Since I see the issues in Github is unanswered for months, PRs are unchecked somehow.

Instead of fading in on the right moment it fades in when I am over the blocks already. Any way to fix this?

I would like query for custom post types that we have installed (e.g. events), but i see that we can only query posts. What would be the way to do it, in order to have a section on a page that shows a grid of event posts?

I am having problems with the Section -> Width -> Stretched Background setting.

as I figured it out tailor is using some javascript to adjust the position of the outer section element. There seems to be a problem with this on Safari browser (Chrome seems to work well), which breaks the layout. The block moves to the right together with content.

You can test this on the tailorwp homepage when using Safari. Try changing the width of the browser to see the block jumping. At certain widths the block does not jump back into the right place.

I’ve been reading a previous thread (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/html-added-in-tailor-not-displaying-e-g-iframe/) about Tailor’s support of shortcodes. In it, you suggested the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin worked fine for you.

On my install, it doesn’t. Clicking the ‘add shortcode’ button in TinyMCE does nothing. In addition, shortcodes I’ve added manually in the WordPress Editor are not being parsed. Is the handling of shortcodes in Tailor something that’s being looked into? I really like Tailor and it would be a shame for me to have to not use it because of this.

I have a little problem concerning screen devices.
I have set differents layouts, one on desktop, one on tablet and one on mobile.
The problem is that when I view my page on an Ipad, it is not the “tablet” layout that is called but that of “desktop”.
When I view my page on a mobile (screen 5.2 and 4.7 inches), it is not “mobile” layout that is called but that of “tablet”.

Did I miss something in the settings ?

When I try to use your plugin by clicking on Tailor this page all I get is a blank page with a grey circle and a white circle spinning inside of it. It never moves or does anything else. I have tried it on 3 websites so far.

Hi I am having a problem with a broken page layout on my company’s register page.
After a customer registers the pages shows up like this:

After the customer registers, he/she should only see bottom part of the page that starts that has starts with the links Dashboard, Orders, Addresses, etc.

For security reasons, I can’t give access to the actual page where this occurs, but I can provide page sources, or other code that may help.

I am running WordPress 4.8.1 with the theme mh-newsdesk-lite. For some reason I cannot display any post from newly added tags or categories. I am trying to build a caroussel containing quotes from selected post and figured I’d tag or use a category called “Quotes”. Even if I try to rename an existing category it does not the change in the builder.

I came with something new regarding my previous topic. I’ve tried to just reply to that topic but the reply refused to show up so I’ve just marked it as resolved and I am creating a new topic instead. Sorry for that.

So I did more testing and it seems like the problem lies somewhere else. “dynamic => true” seems to be working after all in 1.8.0 and the element is inserted as a shortcode (as it should). However, when I insert the element, save the page and reload the Tailor (or close and open it again, it does not matter), I do not see the element on the front-end, instead I see an error message:
"The element associated with shortcode <strong>tailor_name_of_my_shortcode</strong> could not be found".

Notice the prefix – “tailor_”. However shortcode’s correct tag is just name_of_my_shortcode, without “tailor_” prefix. So it seems like Tailor is for some reason prefixing “tailor_” when calling a shortcode in the Front-end editor. Again, it worked in the previous version (1.7.10).

I’ve tracked the issue into “includes/class-models.php” file. Line 938 in generate_models_from_html function:

'tag' => 'tailor_' . $type,

When I remove ‘tailor_’, it fixes my shortcodes, but breaks default Tailor shortcodes. So we need to fix this function to not to hardcode “tailor_” prefix for every shortcode tag.

When we edit a content area with a mailto link in the Tailor editor, the email link and text is changed to *protected email*. This ONLY happens in the Tailor editor. Not the WP Editor. Is this a known issue?

Since upgrading to 1.8 of the Tailor plugin, I am having issues where certain characters are being changed when switching between the WP Editor and the Tailor Editor.

For instance, “curly apostrophes” are changing to “a” and random blank spaces are changing to “?”.

I was not able to reproduce this on a dev site I had that was still running the previous version of Tailor.

first, this is one great plugin! I really love.

I am having an issue with the latest version (1.8.0). When registering a custom element, parameter “dynamic => true” no longer seems to work. So the element is always inserted as a static HTML instead of a shortcode. Since all my elements contain dynamic data, this makes them unusable. It worked flawlessly before. Is there some fix for this I’ve missed or is it just a bug?

Whenever I activate Tailor on the fresh WP install on my sandbox site, I get a 500 internal server error. Research tells me this is usually a PHP version issue, so I checked my hosting and changed it from PHP 5.5 to 7.0. That fixed the sandbox, but bricked my live site, so I had to switch back. (I also tried v5.6, but still no dice for Tailor.) Is 7.0 the minimum PHP version that Tailor can use?
