I realise this plugin isn’t really supported anymore, but I’ve found it to be very good and reliable.
I do have one little bug I’m trying to get over and it relates to the upload file widget in the TDO form.
If you use the ‘Choose File’ button, up comes your computer folder to select your file. You then select the file and it appears next to the button. I then click the Upload button and the computer folder appears a second time??? I then have to cancel it, but I find the upload has actually been done behind the appearance of the folder? Anyone know where the second call on the computer folder comes from?

I recently downloaded a template using the TDO Mini Form plugin, everything works perfectly… except for the widgets inside the Mini Form plugin :/
There seems to be no way I can drag & drop theme in the Form Creator, and it is a huge problem for me since I must personalize the submissions (add a “choose category” field).
I’ve done a little researches on the subject, I installed the “Use Google Libraries” plugin to help javascripts work, I deactivated all plugins and reactivated them, reinstall the plugin… I’ve basically done all the manipulations I could find on line (they weren’t a lot)…
Does anyone have an idea?
I hope it’s not a WP version compatibility issue :/

]]>Hello friends, I have several problems with this plugin. It is very complete but has its flaws. I need help if possible:
1) How I can enter more text boxes, only allows 10.
2) how I can add Checkin lockers? Not much information about how to encode from the Hacker.
3) And the biggest problem with which I’ve found is on the rise in images (in my case). Here I have indicated several Upload buttons, one for the gallery and one for the main image. No problem to upload only prints random , and the client must eventually get to the photo editor of WordPress for his site in order to arrange, with the time constraints involved.
I was looking for information and not much to talk about this, even not in the list of plugins www.ads-software.com, for a security problem (Plop!). Its exists some way to fix all these problems that i indicated or another plugin that replaces TDO mini forms?
I wish someone could support me and I can send pictures of the item.

Hola amigos, tengo varios problemas con este plugin. Es muy completo pero tiene sus falencias. Necesito ayuda si es posible:
1) Cómo puedo ingresar más cuadros de texto, solo permite 10.
2) cómo puedo agregar casilleros Checkin? No hay mucha información al respecto de como codificarlo desde el Hacker.

]]>Now that TDO seems to be abandonded I have moved on to a manual method of accepting form submissions. I’m currently using a contact form but have created (and hope to use on my live site soon) a manual front-end-submission form with the thanks to some tutorials (see my post here if anyone is interested on how to do that themselves: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-use-nonce-in-front-end-post-submission-form?replies=1)
My question now though is – how did TDO append custom fields to the content? This is the only feature I miss! I cannot find any information on how to do this. I’m going to take a look at the code from the old TDO and see if I can figure it out but it may be a little beyond my skill level at the moment.
I know how to display custom fields by calling them in a template, but how were they inserted in to the actual post content?
Any pointers from anyone would be greatly appreciated ??

I’ve the upload image set to just one. When you use the form you “Choose File”, the folder directory opens etc and you select the file and hit choose – everything fine. Then you hit ‘Upload’ and the folder directory opens again? It’s done what it’s supposed to behind the directory window, it’s just annoying you have to click cancel to get rid of the second window.
The Upload button is actually a ‘submit’ type, but I’ve been through the code but can’t see where the ‘open directory’ instruction is added to the submit button?

Firstly let me say TDO Mini Forms has been a great plugin, but after experiencing some issues over the last 1-2 years and with the developer possibly not having time to update it these days, I have been looking for alternatives.
This may be a possible alternative, although it does not look as comprehensive:

And I’m not sure if it is being routinely updated by the author either, so it may end up in the same position as TDO MF.
Anyone had any experience of this?
If I switch it will be a big change for my site so I will have to do some research first.
]]>I have emails from a couple of people over the last 2 weeks who have submitted a post (or they believe they have) but I have no record of any post from them.
It could be that they have just not submitted the form properly, or to do with downtime on my hosting, but it seems too much of a coincidence that 2 people have contacted me.
Also my submissions have slowed down considerably in the last 1-2 months so I wonder if this has been happening more often. I have since had 2 submissions through, so some are working, but these ones have not.
Has any else experienced this?

]]>I just noticed a message in Google Webmaster Tools telling me one of my sites had a ‘phishing’ warning. The malicious files were saved in the directory that TDO Mini Form users use to add images to their posts.
A file called server.exe had been uploaded to that directory, and within that directory the tmp directory contained folders as follows (which I have now deleted):
wp-content/uploads/listingimages/tmp/4/windowslive/confirmation/
I only had image file types included in the allowed files list so I don’t know how a .exe file was uploaded.
Just read the plugin author’s post about this issue (https://thedeadone.net/blog/where-has-tdo-mini-forms-plugin-gone/) so it seems it is a known problem, but I thought posting this here might be of some use anyway.
I have deleted the folders and hopefully the problem is now solved, but I hope there might be an update to the plugin some time because I like TDO Mini Forms a lot! ??

I have this plugin setup for accepting video submissions, however about 2 out of 20 submissions skip the moderation queue.
I don’t suppose anyone would know why this is happening?
I have noticed it has been a while since this plugin has been updated, is it still in development? Or are there any alternatives out there that would offer a form, that supports custom fields and moderation?
I’m running this with WP 3.2.1, BP 1.5, and BBP 2.0.

sometimes we have an Error 500 on our page. We can activate the plugin, can create forms and use this forms. But sometimes this error appears. Then we have to refresh the page and all went right. This error occurs at irregular intervals.
We are using the newest version of TDO Mini Forms and the newest version of WordPress.
The server uses php5.

Hey guys. Im setting up a TDO MiniForm at https://plus-size-swimwear-4-women.com/blog/bikini-model-interview-form/ to interview bikini models on my blog.
So far, when a post is submitted through the TDO MiniForm it creates a new post, but its titled as the date and time, I want it to read “Name Model Interview”
Also, it posts a link to the photo but I want it to post the full image right there in the post.
Also the text from the text area is not showing up.
And I’d like to add a link section, where they can post a link to their favorite bikini in our online store.

I want to display guest author IP address and sort posts by their IPs.
Not fully showing all the IP address but only a few parts like 120.xxx.123.456.
For now as far as I know, TDO only shows guest name on the post meta data and even if I sort posts by any guest name, it shows all the other guests posts as well since they were all supposed to be posted by a user which we created before using TDO.
And have one more question about post editing. Guests can edit their posts? I want that function too.

I managed to get the form working with custom post types and taxonomies.
The only thing that’s bugging me is that I can’t edit submissions like I would do with normal posts. I always get an error that “I don’t have permissions to do that”. (As an admin!)
Is this on purpose? And more important, is there a way around that?

Do I need to have registration required in order to display all posts by a particular author under the “posted by” link?

What I am trying to achieve is this.
1) The user fills in form and submits – Done
2) The submission creates a post and displays – Done
3) The sidebar shows a bried excerpt of the post test content – ???
Is there any hack or way to display a excerpt of each post in the sidebar, but only the post that is currently being display?
I messed around with the loop, but it disaplys the entire post, comments and images in the sidebar, which is not what I want.
