I use this plugin on my website and it works fine so far. Only thing that bugs me, is there a way to translate the text on the “Vote” button or the “view results” link? The site I run is german, so I’d like to edit those texts into german.

Great plugin!
I’m having this weird issue. I’d like to allow, someone with a author role, to add quotes. But the plugin doesn’t show up for this person.
I’ve used the plugin Members and Admin Menu Editor to give this author enough capabilities to use th0th’s Quotes, but still it didn’t show up.
In the debug mode of Admin Menu Editor this is shown
Figuring out what capability the user will need to access this item...

Required capability: manage_options.Now for some reason its not possible to change this capability to for instance ‘read’. While this is possible with actually any other plugin.
Any idea why this is happening?

We tried to format the output of the quotes with a table and image and there seems to be something strange going on. It appears that line breaks are inserted (<br>)
Here is a sample of what we entered:

I think your plugin is great.
Unfortunately it seems not work properly with WP Multisite.
I can add quotes but my quote list remains empty.
On the frontend I get:
There is no quote with this tag/owner -Tux
So obviously your plugin is working.
Maybe it has problems finding the right table in the database?
Do you have any idea how to fix this problem?

I just installed the plugin and it works great.
but there is a vertical bar to the left of the quote. How do I eliminate this.
Also is there a way to eliminate the owner’s name? we have some other information we would like to add to the quote db that should not display the owner.
And one last question. What is the format of a file to be imported. We have some quotes we would like to import but couldn’t find a description of what that file should look like.
]]>What’s the correct way to enter an apostrophe in the last name? It seems whether I use “‘” or ' it adds in a slash in the owner’s name.

Is there any way to override the way it automatically generates inline styles such as
text-align: right
for the quote owner? I need to center the owner name underneath the quote and the inline styles are overriding my stylesheet.

I have a website where I have 2 quote widgets in a sidebar. I have the twitter button enabled.
Clicking on the first button results in a tweet with the text of the quote and a link to the page the visitor is on. This is what I expected.
Clicking on the second button results in a tweet with the name of the page the visitor is on and a link to the page the visitor is on.
I do not understand the behaviour of the second button. I checked the source code, but it was not easy to find.
Can you shed some light on this and/or make an update to the plugin? Or is there something I need to do to make things right?

]]>Hi, I’m using Catch box theme, and have installed the th0th’s quote widget. it works fine, but the ‘owner’ text overlaps the bottom of the widget box: see https://www.robinbeveridge.co.uk for an example. Not critical, but annoying. I can’t work out how to tweak the css to change this, or whether it’s an issue with th0ths quotes or with the catchbox theme, so am posting to both in hope of a resolution from one or other source.

I really like the quotes plugin, though all of a sudden attempts to ‘add new’ ones bring up the “This is somewhat embarrassing…” error message page. After reading previous other posts about this, I feel it’s worth mentioning that I tried installing the plugin both from WordPress directly and by uploading the .zip obtained from GitHub. Since the last time I successfully added a quote, the only significant change I made to my site was that I added and then deleted the w3 total cache plugin – could that have somehow created a problem, do you think? Additionally, attempts to edit existing quotes bring up the same ‘Page not found’ page. Thank you for you support!

I’m wondering if it’s possible to get 2 different instances of Quotes because I’m working on a bilingual website (with qTranslate plugin) and I have to implement two versions of my quotes: one set of english quotes that is displayed on the english version of the website, and one set of french quotes that is displayed on the french version.
Do you know if there is a possible way to achieve it?
