When I click on a product and then click on the Dynamic Options, I can’t edit those options. It gives me an error. “Unknown post type.”

I can click on Manage Options List and see all of the options at once, but the edit button for each option also leads to the same error.

On one product I have a lot of options so when I click save changes it doesn’t work.

But I can’t find where to access this information directly in the database to make the changes directly…since the UI can’t handle that many options.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Hi,
I try TheCartPress Dynamic Options on 4 computers and plugin is working properly only on two of them. Like this:
pc1 Windows 7 – Chrome OK, MozillaFF not OK
pc2 Win8.1 – chrome OK
pc3 win 7 – chrome not ok, MFF not ok
pc4 Win XP – chrome not ok, MFF not ok.

edit: need to know, that i already have a products with assigned atribute sets and i can edit product setup on them on every platform. but only for them, no to add for new one.

I don’t have attribute set option below my Products options. How to work out ?

Hi, I have been using TheCartPress for a couple of years now and think its a great plugin. However, recently (before I upgraded to wp 4.1.1 even) there has been an issue with dynamic options.

There is simply no way to link my dynamic options to my products. When I am in the product editor and scroll down to dynamic options, the only thing available now is ‘manage options list’. Once clicked it simply takes me to a page to add new options but I cannot actually assign an attribute set. I just get this message at the top of that page:

“To create options, you need, first, to assign a Set of Attributes to the product. If you have assigned a set, ensure the set has attributes assigned.”

I can only assume that there has been a problem with the dynamic options plugin itself as I have tried the usual troubleshooting steps (ie. turning off possible conflicting plugins) and I have tried it on a completely fresh install of wordpress.

Any help is very much appreciated!

Is it possible to have options on existing standard attributes like the weight?

In Google I find a topic in the CartPress forum about it, but since months this forum is in maintenance mode and not accessible. Maybe TheCartPress is a dead horse I shouldn’t ride anymore?

Fresh installed and here’s couple things you never got to figure out.

1. the custom field never shown in the description page

2. decided to try out dynamic opition and having difficult.

There’s no a specific box or page that let you to link up the product and attribute set. A lot of people are confused and don’t know what to do with it.

3. using chrome and product tab bar not showing.

4. in a produce page, click into dynamic option> it just keep asking you to put new option.

Yes there’s attribute set but there’s no sign of letting you assign and select the set you want for its product. and i seriously don’t know how to fix these.

Hello, i’m using The Cart Press with Dynamic Options since three months, and all is good except the order of the variations in the products.

For example:

I configure the plugin to show variations in dropdown mode, and sorting by price (i need from lower to higher), but in the front-end, the variations are sorting by title, no matter what configuration i change, it’s always the same. I tried using list, multiple etc… but nothing changes, it’s always sorting the variations by its title.

I don’t know if is a bug or a bad configuration with the attributes or something, can you help me?

I follow the instrucctions here https://thecartpress.com/docs/working-with-the-thecartpress/creating-products-options-or-variants/ and it’s all correct, but the price option in the theme compatibility page is not working.

Your plugin is not fulfilling the promised function!
No matter which of the variations are filled in backed your plugin invariably shows ALL of them in the dropdowns in frontend!

It should only show the DEFINED options in the 2nd, 3rd etc dropdowns and that is NOT the case!

Good Day, I’m using TCP ver 1.3.4.2 with the bootstrap theme on WP 3.8. I’ve set up a number of products with Dynamic Options for a single attribute. I’m not able to get the individual selection to display the specific image. I’ve made sure there is no Featured Image for the main product then I’ve tried a couple different approaches but neither are working:

Approach 1:
Attribute Sets -> Attributes -> Add Term -> Upload for the specific attribute. Select Media Library and find the right image. Click Show, modify the image parameters, and click Insert into Post. This results in a blank window coming up and I have to close the windows with the X in the right-hand corner. Refresh the Attributes page and there’s no image for the specific option.

Approach 2:
Select the Product -> Dynamic Options -> edit -> Select Feature Image and find the right image. Update the Attribute and return to the Options page and the image is displayed for the attribute. Return to the Product page and Update. Then view the product and there’s no image for the option.

For now I’ve set a Feature Image at the Product level. That at least displays an image for the product.

TCP 1.3.1
TCP-DO 1.2.2
and TCP – Shipping by Product 1.1

My main products are ‘Grouped’ and have 3 ‘Simple’ products assigned, two of which need to be/have Dynamic-Options/Variations for various sizes/packs available. On the single product page of a main grouped product I get all the variations but only the 1st variation works when adding to cart, the 2nd one just adds the ‘simple’, ‘variations-parent product’, which is $0. i.e. the specific variation doesn’t make it to the cart, unless it was Ordered 1st of all the child products. If I reorder the children of the group, whichever product with variations is 1st is the one that works…leaving one always broken.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

What is new in version 1.1.4? The changelog shows version 1.1.3.1 which is the plugin I have.

I have the options I need now but they are are a in a jumbled, unattractive mess of radio buttons. I need a clean pull down for a very short list of options. I looked at the code and it doesn’t look like an easy fix as you can’t just replace the input type on the form for a pulldown.
