Hi! Nice plugin, but it seems the logged in author can moderate all comments, not only his/hers own posts’ comments. Is this right or am I doing something wrong? The role in question is custom role which is copied from “author” role.
]]>Hi there,
Firstly thank you so much for creating these wonderful plugins.
So, my question:
Can your plugin help me achieve the following?
1) User makes a comment on a page/post
2) This needs to be approved by internal staff team
3) Any reply from the staff team needs ‘2’ people to approve the reply in order for it to go live. So there is an approval process required by 2 (not just 1 as standard) wordpress editiors.
Thanks

]]>First off, great plugin, thanks! Super useful for sites where comments are important (and heavily used).
However, i’m seeing this error when logged in as a Subscriber, Author or a user with no role (via User Switching plugin). It worked when Editor or Admin.

I manage a site that is having a sudden explosion of comments. All are valid, so not a spam problem.
Problem is that the comments are (I think) overloading the database server on the host. So visitors are getting a lot of 500 errors (database connection, timeout, etc).
Visitors are leaving comments, and also scrolling through existing comments. Again, not spam, but valid comments (tributes/condolences on the passing of a public figure).
I have installed a caching plugin for the static pages, but I think that a ‘comment caching’ solution might reduce the 500 errors that visitors are seeing.
Will your plugin help with the above issue?
Thanks.
]]>Is there a WordPress shortcode for this plugin to view new comments on the frontend?
]]>Love this plugin but need some help. I’ve disabled ‘show avatars’ in WordPress yet I still get a default icon that displays next to comments. See here at the bottom. As you can see there is still a default icon next to the name. Is it possible to disable that icon so that the comment is further left aligned?

Thank you for your time.
]]>Hi there
I have the plugin installed and working almost ok – in the front end
However, although the owner of post can trash / ban a comment in front end, I am not seeing the Approve comment feature in the front end
I can only see that in CMS – with native WP feature
so when an anon user makes a new comment on a post, my post owner gets the email notification and can use links in there to manage comment in CMS but if same owner visits post in front end – some comment controls are there for him but not initial Approve comment – in fact comment is not even visible
thanks
Joe

]]>Can the author of a post itself moderate comment?
]]>Hi,
recently I banned an IP by a mistake. I found the IP in the Comment Blacklist and removed it from there. Unfortunately the user still can’t comment. Is there something else I should do?
Also how can I make the other Editors on my site delete comments? None of them can, actually one of them can but he has only the option “delete and ban IP”, no only “delete” option.
Thanks.
Love the plug-in though!
The ability to ban an IP allows one user to ban an IP on behalf of all users… that makes it unsuitable for a social networking site.
It would be nice to be able to disable this functionality…
