This plugin keeps appearing in my installation as a virus, they are injecting it in some way to mask the invasion and add a backdor.
]]>Hey,
Awesome plugin! Here’s a fix for ACF Field Group Gap below the Group Title.
In style.min.css – Find:
#post-body #side3-sortables{min-height:32px;min-width:280px}#post-body #side4-sortables{min-height:32px;min-width:280px}
Replace by:
#post-body #side3-sortables{min-width:280px}#post-body #side4-sortables{min-width:280px}
??
Have a nice day!
]]>Hi.
Installed “Three Column Screen Layout” which, apparently was a big mistake. The plugin works and the layout can be changed but cannot post subheadings any more. Uninstalled the plugin, remained the same… Installed it back – no change. All the articles posted before the installation of the plugin are OK, have titles, subheadings, featured image etc. but on the new posts any attempt to have subheading fails.
PLEASE HELP AND CONSIDER IT URGENT, I post up to 15 or more articles per day and don’t want it without subheadings.
The website is https://aerospace.report/, theme “MH Themes – Magazine”.

Z.J.
]]>Hi there,
i have already voted your plugin at 5 stars, but I hope i’ll not regret it. The plugin is working, but when I have taken a look at my PHP errors logs, here is what is written :
WordPress Table Error 'MYDATABASE.wp_options' doesn't exist pour la requête SELECT * FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = '_site_transient_update_plugins' AND option_value LIKE '%three-column-screen-layout%' faite par activate_plugin, do_action('activate_three-column-screen-layout/three-column-screen-layout.php'), Three_Column_Screen_Layout->activate
I’m not a database expert, but is this because I have another database prefix than the standard wp_?
Moreover, you have to know that I have renamed my wp-content folder just after the wordpress installation (if it can help).
Any explanation on this issue would be more than appreciated.
Regards.

]]>RE: Noahj Champion
You wouldn’t need any special hooks, just an update to the plugin you’re referring to.
In addition to the ‘side’, ‘normal’ or ‘advanced’ placements, I just add ‘side3’ and ‘side4’.
Wordpress itself stores them under meta-box-order_post (and page) keys.
As far as ‘becoming core’, WordPress already supports extra columns – I’m simply leveraging built-in features to add them, so I’m sure they’re already working on it!

I have a primary sidebar in my theme.
Is this why it doesn’t work?

I would like to know if there is a hook or filter to set a custom layout for new users.
By custom i mean a layout not in the plugin posibilities but dragged by and dropped by me.
Best regards.

]]>Hi,
This plugin is awesome! I hope this becomes core.
But, I am having the problem of saving the meta order layouts.
I also and have been using this plugin which allows me to force the meta box positions. Do you think it would be possible to have this plugin hook into yours and force the meta boxes into positions/layouts generated from your plugin?

]]>Two updates in two days – madness! Now with 24 screen layout variations.
Uses the do_meta_boxes method to build the extra columns, splices them into the editors output buffer.
Let me know if you have any problems using it!
]]>In response to frizzie55
I’ve tested this plugin with freshly installed WP 3.4 all the way up to WP 4.0, and have experienced no problems with it saving any settings for the third column.
WordPress fires off an admin-ajax call when panels are moved, or when screen options are changed – this is default functionality and has not been altered in any way, so any problems you are having in this regard may be due to other plugins.
Perhaps a sluggish internet connection is causing the ajax call to fail, or the post is being saved (very quickly) before the call can even be made. Either way, I cannot replicate this problem!
