Placed the “Tweet Bender” widget in my site, tried to pull both a user feed and a hastag feed, but nothing shows up. Not even the widget title appears. There must be something seriously flawed in the code…

]]>My client has WP 4.O site with a custom theme. From day one we’ve been having issues with Tweet Blender “getting jammed” for lack of a better term.
It will regularly not update for 48hrs+. If I go into the setting on the backend, change nothing, and click save, it will refresh on the live site.
I’ve searched every forum I can and can’t seem to find a resolution. Any ideas?

I found a suggestion to change the settings to “refresh once on load”, but that didn’t do anything.

EDIT: Now I see that I also have Tweet Blender Cache Manager installed that “Allows to manage individual cached tweets and backup/restore cache database”. Is that an explanation?

I set refresh time 2 minutes in the Tweet Blender widget settings and it’s still caching the tweets. But once I manually clear the cached tweets from the database the latest tweets are displayed.
how can I turn off plugin’s cache.
Site was ‘restricted’ by host for too much CPU usage. Ran fine for a few weeks but suspect targeted twitter accounts have been unusually active today. Removed the plugin, site returned to normal, unrestricted, good response time.

Just a quick note: if wordpress is in a subdirectory (e.g. /wordpress, as per this ), authentication does not work.
This may be fixable by using get_bloginfo(‘wpurl’) instead of get_bloginfo(‘url’) in some places. At least these places, I think, but have not done much testing other than oauth works:

I’m having trouble counting the amount of Tweets that are actually being loaded with jQuery.
It seems the tweets are being loaded asynchronously.
Is there a callback to hook into, after the tweets have been loaded by Tweet Blender?
]]>I’ve been using TB widget for a few months on a new site without any problems. I just visited my site today and found a bunch of errors listed. But it only happens on the home page, every other page is fine. But the widget still shows up correctly too!?

I see it tries to go to wp in my root. But i have got my wp in a different folder but shows as if in the root.
I guess maybe that’s the cause of a failed authorization.
But how to make it work now? Does anyone have a clue?

]]>I’m using this plugin in a multi-environment scenario (dev, production, QA) and I need to use a separate Twitter App for each instance. I have the CONSUMER_KEY and CONSUMER_SECRET from Twitter stored in the lib/twitteroauth/config.php file on the server. I was initially able to authorize the plugin via the plugin directly (under the status tab). But each time I deploy code (using the same KEY and SECRET, assigned to the same Twitter account), no Tweets show up and I get the following under the status tab:
API requests from blog server: Check failed
I’m using Tweet Blender version 4.0.2. Please help.

I am using latest version of tweet-blender with WP 3.6. It was all set and working fine before i have installed sucuri plugin. But after installing it, whenever i tried to get authorized by twitter app, it shows “404 Page Not Found” error for callback.php.
When i tried setting permalink to default, then i come to know the actual cause. It says- Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access /wp-content/plugins/tweet-blender/lib/twitteroath/callback.php on this server.
I have tried uninstalling security plugin and setting file permission to 777 but had no luck.
Please help me out this. Thanks in advance.
Author just confirmed via Facebook that he will no longer be supporting this plugin.

The author was emailing the file out to those who had the issue but has apparently abandoned the plugin support – Seems he still feels ok about charging credit cards for the cache manager, and leaving his “Donate” button up.

I’ve set up Tweet Blender as a widget in my sidebar. I’ve completed the authorisation for the Twitter account. I’m trying to get a combined feed of 2 users.
The feed is only displaying 2 tweets from 1 of those accounts, and none from the other. I’ve set it up to show 5 tweets, but no luck.
