I would give this plugin 5 stars but it has given me so much frustration on one issue. Scheduled posts do not autopost to social. If I go in to the post, afterwards and save it, or click to save updates to the post, then the functionality works. I think this plugin uses the publish button and not the act of publishing as the trigger to share to social. So, when posts are scheduled on my blog, they don’t trigger the social auto share. I’ve tried to get help, asked my host tech support, etc. The only thing I see from Revive is to fix cron. The host said this won’t matter. I wish I could get help.

Twitter sharing is very limited, only Facebook sharing works properly. No Instagram option Pro version is expensive and requires annual renewal

Very good support on the Pro plan – quick to respond and resolve any issues. Shoutout to Stefan Cotitosu in particular. ??

The free version is simple, but does the job as described. Considering buying the pro version

I bought this plugin to simplify my social media scheduling process. However, it ended up complicating things instead. The integration with Twitter was virtually non-functional throughout my use of the product, and obtaining customer support proved to be a challenge. Even when it seemed to be fixed, it would later malfunction again. While I understand that Twitter’s API can be inconsistent, I cannot comment on its performance with other social media platforms. Overall, the experience was highly disappointing.

I don’t usually give negative reviews, but I had the pleasure of dealing with management and I have to say wow. While using their plugin I wanted to upgrade to what it calls the pro option. When I went to their site there was no pro option. They have changed their marketing plan but did not update it on the plugin. When I inquired, it took 5 days of responses to confirm this. I was inquiring about the lifetime plan, after telling me that i needed to subscribe to the business lifetime plan, they deleted the option off their page. This is a basic plugin with any useable options stuck behind a paywall. This plugin will be obsolete soon as they are greedy and don’t seem to understand that this plugin is not a required plugin, with many competitor options available, why would someone commit to a yearly fee for this I can not understand, a 1 time fee would make sense.

This plugin helps me send out my WordPress blog posts to my social media channels. It also gives social sharing buttons that I can use to instantly share my posts, and the same with my readers. I like it. Support.

Easy to setup, I have it running for an old Facebook page and it just does its thing, reposting old content every 10h, so… perfect!

Very disappointing. It never worked. I sent a message to the company asking for help. They never answered although I had a premium subscription for 80$!
I advice not to install this plugin.

UPDATE: After one of the latest ROP upgrades, and I don’t know which one, it no longer shows an image when posting to Facebook. I had no idea they stopped doing this so my page is filled with headlines (unclickable ones to boot!), no URL, and the only way to view the article is to click on my site’s domain name under the post (who would think to do that?). I’ve since had to go in and edit about 30 posts (and still counting) that have no image. As soon as I hit the Edit button on Facebook, the image magically appears.
Not only did you mess up my social sharing, you killed my traffic and until now I couldn’t figure out why. Now I know. And the only way to get images to show up is to upgrade to Pro. How convenient. Well, I’m sorry, but with only two social media accounts, I don’t need some over-priced plugin to do what free ones already do. And JetPack has since fixed auto-sharing on Xitter. Charging $129 a year (on sale now for $99) for one domain, which is my situation, is highway robbery. Why do you think I’m using the free version? And crippling FB’s functionality makes it essentially worthless.
Worse still, after the one-year license expires, it reverts to the non-pro version. It even says so on the FAQs: “You will still be able to use the plugin but the pro features would be inactive. You will not be able to use and edit them until you have renewed your license.”
I have NEVER bought a plugin that when the license expires it reverts to the crippled version. I simply wouldn’t get any more updates for the paid version. That’s like leasing a car and at the end of the lease, the dealership comes and tows the car away and drops off a clunker with only two wheels. In reality, when the lease expires, I don’t get free oil changes and tire rotations anymore. But I still keep the car!
My original review (they’ve since fixed the double-posting):
Now that JetPack is no longer auto-sharing to Twitter (but somehow found the technical expertise to auto-share to Mastodon and other mainstream social media platforms), I found this little gem as an alternative. When you publish a post, it automatically shares it to any social media accounts you have connected, including Facebook groups, pages, profiles, etc. It also posts to Twitter.
Like JetPack, it sticks to the top social media sites and completely ignores Gab, TruthSocial, MeWe, Telegram, and other alternatives. The lite version only lets you share to Twitter and Facebook. Not even LinkedIn, which many people post to. You can see the differences here at Revive Social’s website.
I’m dinging it one star for these limitations and because after you publish a post, it doesn’t turn off the “Share immediately via Revive Old Posts” checkbox. The checkbox is defaulted to ON even after you publish a post.
Therefore, if you make any minor edits and hit publish, you have to remember to turn off that checkbox or you’ll get duplicate posts on your timelines and feeds. I made that mistake a few times already and it’s infuriating.
That was the one plus about JetPack. Once you hit publish, you had to manually click the auto-share checkbox in order to share it again. This seems like an easy fix that I hope the author addresses. Other than that, it’s a great little plugin but the lite and pro versions support far too few platforms!

I really like this plug-in – very handy to publish posts on the website that also go on our social media channels. Easy yet controllable. I haven’t used the other functionality yet.

Was loving the plugin, great for keeping social fresh and getting eyeballs on the site. A couple days ago it posted 4 posts in a day, I thought that was strange. Then on the 12 May this plugin posted 90+ FB posts in the span of 4 hours…
I have the free version. I have turned on “default new posts immediately share to revive old posts” for new posts, but I am on free plan, so it only posts old posts, and I only post one new post per day to the site…
the queue shows one new post per day. very strange.
I’m torn. Would be 5 stars if i didn’t have the fear of accidentally spamming my feed. it’s fine, tho, I guess as I don’t have many followers yet…
