]]>Just updated to latest version (using WP multisite 6.0).
When Network activating, got error:
Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>= 7.4.0”.
We use your plugin on an old multisite platform stuck with php 5.6 (no comments… It is due to be replaced…). Generally, plugins that require a more recent version no longer auto update and even show a message in plugin list.
“Customize Feeds for Twitter” did update for v2.1.4 and the sites using it no longer responded.
We rolled back to v2.1.3 and blocked umpdates for your plugin. But there might be something that you may do to prevent updates on site where php version doesn’t match.

We’ve been using this plugin for at least five years but it is not working now. It looks fine on the front end. But on the back end, it gives this error:
error setting certificate verify locations: CAfile: /home/jasonharris1/jasonharris.com.au/wp-content/plugins/twitter-tweets/vendor/abraham/twitteroauth/src/cacert.pem CApath: /etc/ssl/certsCan’t connect to Twitter API. Check your internet connection.
The save button no longer works. If we change the settings and click save and then refresh, it reverts to what it was originally. It just doesn’t save. So the settings cannot be changed.

All formatting was spoiled and the widgets after yours did not display. I have disabled the plugin and the site is now working again – though of course without your great plugin. I am running the site on PHP Version 7.4.28 if that helps. Hope it’s something that can be fixed quickly.

Presumably the plugin should not auto-update if it requires 7.4 or greater and it’s not available?

I have uploaded one of my sites to WP 5.0 and the widget doesn’t work. I drop it to the places where I want to see it and it says “Saving” but it doesn’t save it, like a loop. I change the username, I click on the Save button and nothing happens, it doesn’t save anything.
I use this plugin on other websites created with WP and it works properly but WP version is older.
So I think that there is a problem with WP 5.0

I’ve asked a similar question almost 2 years ago. Which was marked as resolved and since the client didn’t ask about it any more I did not follow up. But they did today, so i’ll ask again as I’m still having the same problem.
We are using your plugin to fetch random tweets with a specific word in it, which gives great results and great diversity in the content, which gives a fresh feeling to the website.
Can we filter on language, with the query? so only allow Dutch tweets? It is a Dutch word we search for , but it is also a word used in Swedish or so. Now occasionally we will get a Swedish tweet on there, which looks silly on a Dutch website – and we would like to prevent it.

Accessibility is becoming a much more important issue as many companies are now being served lawsuits because their website lacks the support for people with disabilities who browse the web.
However, there is one error left and its being generated by your plugin.
It’s an empty link reference. In other words, a link without text, or an image within it.
The tool is highlighting the following code generated from the plugin:

The link color in the settings for the widget don’t seem to work for me either.
Since this loads after my child theme’s CSS nothing I do seems to stick.
